A thoughtful article on bringing Allah's name in sport. The writer name is Hussain Ameer Farhad from magize "Soot-ul-Haq". The book name is "Haqaiq or Afsaanay" "Facts and Fantasies"

Some posters made me find this article and I must say the writer is spot on. May Allah give hidayat to all of us.

I am sad to hear that at least two people have died in Pak due to heart attack after semi final defeat. Why our nation consider cricket match against India as a matter of life and death. Game should be taken as a game. Today India played well and won. Pakistan dropped six catches and did not bat well thus they lost. It is not end of the world. Next time if Pak players would play better than Indian then they could definitely defeat India in every match.

  7. The article writer is right on spot

The current hopeless situation in pakistan is created by idiots who portray themselves as scholars and give the whole nation the teekas of Dua without considering the action.

I was absolutely flabbergasted when I read that they did a collective dua in Jamia Banoria for pakistan cricket team. they should have stayed away from this kind of cheep tactics. I did not see them doing collective dua that O Allah swt please tell US to forgive our loans

  8. I think people are being a little too harsh on Benoria Town Madrassa.

Atleast, they weren't praying that Allah kill all kafirs and mushriks etc etc. They are all Pakistani after all and they prayed that our team wins, nothing wrong with it.

@FJ takes the cake of the most oblivious post on this forum.

Is that why we lost? :)

Next time ask them to pray for the other side.

Thanks syedhussain to send this article. After seeing all this I write my post "Is Allah Democratic" and you can see the reactions from persons like Sufi and Khan.....they have not understood anything of that and did not say one single world to see what was going on in Pak & India before match.

Sufi....I am also "Friend of Allah" and Allah is The Best Friend of mine....come I can show you.

Asif!!! cricket is a game, very right.... but it belongs to life then do you mean that some parts of life belong to "religion" and some are not???? Very Strange!!! is it you understood Islam???

I think people are being a little too harsh on Benoria Town Madrassa.

Well there are two Benoria madarsahs here in Karachi,Older one established in 1954 is Jamia Uloom-e-Islamia located in Binori Town (new town) Karachi. These guys tend to stay away from media and spot light ..

Another one Established during last 2 decade or so is Jamia Binoria SITE Industrial Area Karachi(besides SITE police station). The mufti running this madarsah seems to have political ambitions. Its regarded as "one of the most modern madrassas.". Politicians and even US consulate memebers regularly visit this madarsah and regard it as 'role model' for other madarsahs..

Collective dua for cricket was done by Jamia Binoria SITE..

"Mufti Naeem" is the head of this Jamia Binoria. He is a from a Parsi family converted to Islam some fifty-sixty years ago.Eveynow and then you might have heard that someone embrace islam on mufti naeem's hand(specially in Daily Jang). He also announced his favour for MQM in last CDGK's election.
Beside their madrassa there is a Binoria Resturant. In early 2000 I was working near by and went this place a lot until my office boy told me "Sir don't go there, they are not careful about the Sadqa and used the money for kitchen of this resturant. In his own words

You have posted a beautiful article. My gratitude.I've seen people miss their prayers and busy watching match. Our local Mosques usually see an attendance of 1000,1500 on average in Magrib and Esha prayers on week days and more on weekends. But there were hardly 500-600 people on the eve of match.Specially the younger lot was missing.

thanks ajhons for liking the article.

Thanks doctor for the information. I would not believe it either that banori town (gurumandar) madarsaah will perform such cheap shots like collective prayers for CRICKET.

A column by Hasan Nisar on nation's unity on cricket. He is spot on again on our nation's stupidity, beghairti, hypocrisy and besharmi.
