  2. You will be shocked to read about such talent too in Pakistan....

    Ms Lozina Shoaib....

November 6th 1979, a child was born in Lahore who was different from other children. She was a premature baby. Doctors declared that it was very difficult for her to survive. But miracles do happen and only Allah knows who has to live for how long. She is now 29 years old. She is suffering from Multiple Congenital Contractures (MCC), Osteoporosis, Rheumatic Arthritis and Cardiac problems.

She has undergone 20 major surgeries including SPINAL FUSION as of today and 7 more to go (involving Hip and Knee Joints Replacements), which are not possible in Pakistan. Besides her apparent physical condition (i.e. very short stature and fused body joints), her problem has adversely affected her health and mobility, to the extent that she remains in unbearable state of pain round the clock. Even the highest dose of painkiller is ineffective.

Her parents did not lose hope and planed to educate her with nondisabled children right from the day one.

She did Master of Computer Sciences in Session 1999-2001. The Project Area was “Data Base”. She did her Master of Sciences (MS) in session 2008 with majors in “Software Systems & Engineering”. She worked on unique research area in her thesis where she combined two major sciences i.e. Computer Science & Human Psychology. The topic was “Influence of Human Psychology on Exploratory Testing”. Today she is doing PhD in Information Technology in School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (SEECS) under National University of Science and Technology (NUST). The research area is “Human Computer Interaction (HCI)”.

She has been appointed as Assistant Director in Ministry of Social Welfare and Special Education

She often gives motivational lectures to Students in Schools, Colleges and Universities...She hosts seminar on disability movement.
