Pakistan's "Number One" Problem

(15 posts)

It is for the first time that the top most leadership of Pakistan has realized and declared that Pakistan's "Number One" problem is Balochistan. It is a good sign because till the time the nation is not aware of the acute problem it is facing, effective measures to resolve the same cannot be taken.

We, the ordinary Pakistanis are, perhaps, not aware that what sort of difficulties and dilemma common people (mainly settlers since decades) are facing there. Their life and property is at stake and they are living in an environment of fright.

Let us wish and pray that Allah Almighty give wisdom and courage to our leaders to get Pakistan out of its problems.

pakistan's "present" number one problem is balochistan.

I hope it isn't too late!
We have a habit of waiting too long with dire consequences.

While zardari and co are on international tour and making headlines through meeting with UN chief and Bill Clinton, our prime minister stirred up the local media by making 'policy statements'.

Is it going to be real effort or just to grab some media attention?

The Biggest Problem: to divide Pakistan in many small, mini pakistans, on the name of so called "different nations". That is denial of One Nation.

Pakistan was never a nation. Its a federation comprising of multiple nations and areas which have volutarily joined the federation.

In my opinion Pakistan's number one problem is ever increasing distance from the original identity of Muslims of India. They called themselves one nation under the flag of Islam and opted to go with Pakistan, but after partition the whole struggle was flushed down the drain because british cleverly handed over power to those parliamentarians/bureaucrats who were cultured under the british raj.

Actual leadership was systematically wiped out after 1857.

'Actual leadership was systematically wiped out after 1857.'

Pakistan was created through the struggle of 'non-actual leadership' of post 1857 era.

Asifk, I don't want to go off topic but will quickly give you my understanding:

My study tells me that one leader was sent to notorious kala pani prison system while another leader was allowed to publish newspapers and magazines and hold conferences and public gatherings, why?

What were the criteria of the rulers at that time on which leader to allow activity in public and which leader to block from activity, who to promote and who to suppress?

Some movements were brutally crushed while some movements were systematically supported. Anyway this is all another discussion.

Pakistani nation's biggest problem is inaction.

Unlimited talk as if we have a cell phone and it is past 2AM.

    No action. Blame game.

Complains Complains and Complains!! as if someone will be sent down from heavens to solve our issues.

    A whining nation.

I dont understand whyw e complain? What is the point in complaining. Is anyone stopping us from resolving our issues? Instead of complaining come up with suggestions and positive criticism.

Wasting time on non-issues and screwed up priorities. We can clearly see that on pkpolitics as well. Keep on fighting over halal and haram. Keep on fighting over Church Vs. State. Keep on fighting over Khalifat. Keep on fighting over Jamat and Modoodi. Shabash! very well done.

I agree with PM, Balochistan should top government's list.

  15. @bsobaid,
i agree with u to some extent ...
but its the outcome of the problem i have mention as the biggest one.
    SOLD OUT ppl.
they think ,if politicians are sold out and doing nothing but talking ....
if lawyers ,journalists ,bureaucrats, doctors ,engineers and teachers are sold out .
and doing nothing for their respective feilds but talking .
then what else we ,as poor and helpless public can do ?
    except talking and whining ?

    see
when a practical stand of CJ was seen from a big representative of the judiciary ...
when a practical stand was taken from a political party .
when a practical and forceful support was seen from media .

    whole public became PRACTICAL .
and they all came out on roads .

    moral of the story:
we need leaders to motivate us for doing something practically rather just whining .
