PPP and PML-N these days are making their throat soar yelling "Parliament is Supreme" (which in in itself is an indication it is NOT) and spreading the lie that SC has no right to interpret law (what else is it there for?).
Well, today SC struck down PM’s order promoting 54 bureaucrats out of turn (superseding the positions of 173 officers awaiting promotions).
Was Gilanis' act 'illegal'? Did SC Do the right thing? If it did, doesn't the PPP/PML-N argument fall flat on it's face? Will Gilani now yell "I represent 17 Crore Awam and SC had no right to go against the will of the people!"?
NOTE: Do keep in mind these latest statements by PML-N and PPP to see if they themselves believe "Parliament is supreme":
