Patriotism : is this an old concept or its alive ?

    i came across some people , who claim to be most practical ,and they believe that Pakistan is not the place to live in any more or at least to feel good about to be associated with .
    rather feeling proud of your association with it .

    according to them , Patriotism is a dead concept in this world of globalization and shared resources .

    i disagree with their thoughts totally.

    as Patriotism is not a dead concept , in my view .
    in my view .
    patriotism will never die .

    because it has the ROOTS in one 's hearts.
    what do you people think about it ?

    There are four types of people in Pakistani region
    Agrigarians,Urban, Mountaineouse and international Border people.

    I think sense of Patriotism among agrigarian people is more than urban people, Mountaneouse people comes 2nd and Border people comes last.

    i think ,he maybe be referring country as a general term.
    he didn't mean a specific individual country .

    Suppose a man born in UK past whole of his in US.

    (according to Bernard shah to which country he should be patriotic).

    a. us
    b. Uk

    Patriotism is nothing but feeling to attach ur self to a thing which does n't exist in real world. It's like a hindu worshiping an idol as times goes his feeling to that idol grow stronger and stronger. (sorry to break the feeling of patriots)

    A muslim should be more faithful to God than to his country or etc.

    Suppose Mushraff says i helped America because i am a patriot as i love my country so much i want to save it. But infact his help has favoured kufar to feast on the blood of muslim brothers.

    Patriotism for the habitate you live upon is natural,for example a pride of lions protect the teretory they live, from another pride of lions from different area.

    similarly all lower and higher animals protect their habitate and environment by showing patriotism to land.

    Things have been changed for human biengs the whole world is habitate for whole humanity. any body can migrate any where in this world.
    therefore I believe that idea of patriotism for whole world is will next stage of patriotic behavior.
