Perception is the only truth ,do u agree ?

    in advertising we have a very famous saying :
    Perception is the only truth .
    although it obviously talks about the perception of a particular brand but i always thinks ;that its true to all sections of society .

    Perception is the only truth .
    you always consider one person a truthful person , who has been nice and gentle to your parents and u have heard lots of good things about him .

    you always will be reluctant to believe on a person , who has been rude and deceiving for your loved ones or for your friends .

    same goes for political leaders .
    perception plays a major role in liking and disliking of things .
    perception of PPP is a Feudal based party is so strong that no matter how much they preach about their liberal thoughts , it wont get washed out .
    perception of MQM as a terrorist pressure group is so strong that their Khidmat e Khalaq committee is doing something good , nobody is gonna believe in it .

    Media is playing a vital role in creating perceptions or misperceptions about events and people .

    its all about how you perceive a person , a situation or a political party .

    do u agree with me or not ?

    To some extent, indeed, Beenai, you've got it absolutely right: Perception is King, especially in matters of politics. In human relations, however, it might be somewhat different. Strong first impressions and then correction as we go along and get to know people better. But you're not wrong to point out that we live in a world in which PR reigns and rules.

    @Mirza Ghalib ,
    a great verse from Mir Taqi Meer ,portrays the Perception and its importance ,very beautifully ....

    Yeh Tawahhum ka Karkhana hay
    yaahan wohi hay jo Aitebaar kiya

    means ;
    this world is all about Waham ...(perception )
    and you always tend to believe the thing ; u already anticipating ....

    I would like to suggest to all my Pakistani brothers that there is solution for all substances and I may not hesitate to put your attention towards said lessons of Prophet Muhammad(SAW) because he is light for human being whoever follow the said lessons of prophet Muhammad(SAW) will never go into darkness and all the solution is available In Qur’an and in surah Muhammad aya no.2 Allah subhanahu tala ordered that those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition.

    In other place in surah hujraat ayah no.10 Allah ordered that “O you, who have believed, let not a people laugh at [another] people; perhaps they may be not better than them nor let women laugh at [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

    I hope there is no way except believing Allah and asking Allah to forgive us and mercy us and make our hearts purified and make us strong against evil

    there is a famous saying "appearances can be deceiving"

    something can be presented in a way that the host wants people to perceive like illusion experts do, but people know their perception is wrong-

    No there is only one Fact That Is Allah Azza Wa Jal. Rest of the things that we know today were not considered as possibilities yesterday and yesterdays theories are laughed at today.

    There is nothing constant in this Universe. Its on a Predestined Course. Thus the facts will be different at points in the course. The only Constant in this entire Universe is Allah Azza Wa Jal.

    And as Muslims have always been taught that appearances are never relied upon unless ascertained beyond doubt.

    Thus Perception is not the Only truth. Its the only Apparent version of series of facts whose conclusion is moulded/shaped and derived by the presenter not by the presentee.

    But Beenai you know this dont you. You are in advertising.

    Your job or the field that you are in i.e Media the entire job is to give the appearence that whatever the Media shows is actually happening thus the Media is showing. However it is not the case. Just by alluding to the fact that people are doing the seeds are planted in people's minds and thus when someone does something shown in the media it is deemed as a fashion or norm. The resistance to any evil or bad thing or change is far reduced cos the human behavior has been conditioned to either agree with it or not block its way.

    So in the case of Media The Perception is NEVER the Truth.

    What a crock! Coincidentally, I was watching the following clips earlier today. I don't know if this truth will pass the censors here (wink, wink :) ) or be removed for being a 'false perception' (excuse will of course be 'Oooo, 'profanity'!')...

    Not at all, th perceptions do change when encountered by the truth. Perception is formed and deformed by the tools of propoganda thus the troubles of our modern civilisation.

    No, perception can change instantly by time or through experience but truth stands still irrespective of changing scenarios.

    Beside, truth is universal where as perception varies from society to society/person to person. E.g. one hero can be perceived as others villain
