I am working on new version of PKPolitics main site and Discuss Forums with tens of new features.
Please let me know any new features that you would like to have in the new version and I will try to accommodate them before launching new version.

Going direct to the end page of a thread should be possible.
option of going at bottom and top of the page should be added....

These are, what I can think of on top of my head right now;
(1) Abolish 'Faith and Religion' section
(2) Copy CSS code for 'page number' links to these links present at the top portion on thread pages
(3) Put up or make available better quality images of each NA, PA present in Pakistan
(4) Provide detailed polls/election history for each NA, PA present in Pakistan
(5) Provide complete, detailed mathematical analysis of elections/polls taking place in Pakistan
Publish this mathematical analysis on a designated page. Make it available to ALL Pakistanis'
Those that have been conducted in the past, as well as the present. Also prepare a format for report on similar line for future polls.

I make mistakes when writing is it possible to bring in the the "EDIT" feature to the main PKP site.
1. A reference library or a facility where a member may upload a book for sharing/download.
2. A discuss forum for women.
3. A member may not be able to change his nick except by request through administration.
4. A new member could be verified that he/she is a genuine new member and not a previously blocked or banned member creating a duplicate ID.
5. A forum for senior members where religiously neutral (neither pro nor anti religion/ous) members are able to discuss serious issues without distractions.
6. A new member should not be able to open new threads for a certain period till his attitude and manners are observed.
7. A detailed COC be pasted as sticky post.
8. Nomination: as member of the month declared for a member who has the most positive contributions and best behaviour/attitude/respect shown for members.
9. Similarly flamers and trollers be identified and declared the most negative influence on the forum by abusing/misusing freedom of speech and subject to a ban/ block.

Do nothing. Leave the Forum exactly as it is. It's perfect. It doesn't need repackaging to make it sell better. But who'll ever listen to such advice, I ask you?

My suggestions are **** follows-
1. Must stop abusive indecent language and the punishment should be very tough.
2. People must be made to stay on TOPIC. This is my pet peve as I and other see every topic become a tete a tate between two or more who are bullying each other and to shove their slogans down everyone's throat.
3. This might seem a bit off the mark - but there are some of us who are overwhelmed by the varying and unrelated topics.
4. The number of TV reproduction programs has to be limited. Some form of editorial control will have to be put in place.
5. And I would DITTO everything SEMIRZA said.

If we can limit the number of threads/day/member to avoid clutter.

1) changing of display pix should be made easier
2) post-count should be listed under each name
3) posts irrelevant to the thread should be deleted (spammers should be warned)
1. Post Rating based on poster's rate(GOOD or BAD)
2. Membership status(newbies, intermediates, Advanced etc) based on any criteria Admin likes...
3. Directly proceed to last page of discussion should be possible...
Adminstration should not have any control to remove any post or comments because of their personal dislikes, if they believe that these post or comments are wrong then they should show some guts and courage and bring their arguments against that issue.

I agree with semirza on all counts but would like to add few more points:
1. chat option should be only available after a set number of contributions and it should be authorized by admin rather then automatically (To avoid use of the chat option by kids as a chat room etc)
2. People making personal threats, use of abusive language or any disrespect to individual member should not be awarded the privilege for chat plus strict rules should be applied to Ban these members.
3. I particularly like the idea of a senior members forum to discuss religious topics. It should be strictly reserve for those members who are neutral and not anti-Islam per sae.

Thee is a genuine need to have more moderators. Currently only SEMirza is a proactive Moderator and it is not fair to expect him to monitor every thread. There is a wide spread violation of COC in terms of Off-topic posts which only one Moderator cannot possiblly monitor.

I have said this before, I say it again. Don't touch the blogspot. It is perfect as it is. But everyone else seems to be in favour of change for the sake of change. Go on, see where it gets you. Two requests though: Please don't touch our Sher-o-naghma thread. You would be doing us all a great disservice. And in the persons of Beenai and semirza, we have more than enough skilled moderators. Want to turn this site into a kindergarten or what? Can't bloggers defend themselves without having recourse to higher authority? How old are we all, after all? Have we no personal autonomy?

Some people use profane language. This should be disallowed. I have seen some people use $ and @ characters and are able to post profane words without mods doing anything about them.
Some people also use terms such as "mentally retarded" frequently to describe whoever disagrees with them. This should also be disallowed, as it brings down the level of discussion.
Mods should also be fairer in their moderation and should be indiscriminate in banning. I have seen a contrary behaviour from the mods and members of a certain political party and ideology are more willingly banned - mods should leave their personal likings and disliking of members/parties/ideologies at the door when it comes to banning members.

rank & seniority of member should be displayed, currently a senior member like khan saab and a junior member like myself appear to be of same rank, i think some literary ranks like javedsheikh & co use for indian video links such sitara-e-ghazal or sitara-e-imtiaz etc etc
also i agree with Semirza sb's idea of filtering dup ids so that people like khan sb have no 'waham-o-guman' about others-
if administration likes to keep religion/faith or hide park forums then better creat 'landing page' where main sections are listed so that members could go to other forums, currently religion/faith or hyde park threads are dead because they are not visible-
rest of the orientation/presentation is fine

I think after these drone attack like suggestions you will keep this site as it is. Lol ::)).
My only wish regarding this forum is that the F & R section be abolished and religious threads should be allowed in the main discuss forum.
Because threads like "demolish the centre's of shirk" (which are mazaar's according to some dim-wits) remained on the main discuss forum for weeks, and a thread like "Data darbar was attacked by takfiri's" maked it to F & R (the all so secret section) within a day...

Now a member may or may not agree with you?
In a case of disagreement is it guaranteed they are not labeled as 'dim-wits' and takfiri's setting an examples for others to follow?
Faith and Religion is there with freedom of speech folks would love to discuss without moderation. Still not enough than God bless you. I would suggest Hyde Park is also available!
Threads may remain innocent for weeks under watchful eyes, but as soon as they turn nasty (hate based) they are immediately removed or moved to their relevant slots.

I don't know what part of threads like "demolish centers of shirk - darbars) was not hate based? Majority of Muslims visit the shrines of the pious and to label them centers of shirk means to declare all those who visit those shrines to be out of the fold of Islam...
Secondly, I don't know how is it and what is the criteria that two similar threads are initiated and one of them makes it to F & R section, while the other doesn't.
I mean these two threads:
1)Data Darbar attack is a conspiracy against concept of jihad in islam
2)When Daata Darbar was attacked by Takfiris Groups in Islam
The first thread still remains in the main discuss forum, because the author of it is attacking Sufism, by comparing it to qadianism, and designedly implying that the sufi's are against Jihad.
And I think I've been around this forum for long enough to know who else shares this thought.
While the second thread made it to f & R section within a day, because the author was of the opinion that takfiri's and their other extremist groups are the ones behind attacks on data darbar, as they've a history of committing such crimes, and these acts are some what in accordance to their beliefs.
This is not a complaint, this is one thing I don't like doing much, but since the had admin asked for some suggestions, and I happened to have one which I've passed onto him...

UmeR, I think semirza sahib is probably right above. We have more freedom of speech and movement if F & R and the Discussion Forum function as separate units. It's an appreciable gain if one can go on and on, developing one's points to one's heart's content, and no one is obliged to step in and interrupt because certain boundaries may have been crossed.
Both you Mirza's have a point, that at least we have no moderation or minimum moderation in F & R section, but then move ALL religious threads to F & R sections or NONE at all. Because I see double standards as I've already given an example above.
Quite, I share your opinion.

I'm not satisfied with 'the way' Moderators 'copy' content from one thread to another. There can be a better way of doing the same.
This could be a good feature.

I think you should add a convenient excel sheet to track what's on the site. Easier to search after downloading on local machine.

1. Multiple IDs with same IP must be banned.
2. The look of the reply box must be changed. A richtext reply box is required.
3. You may create different membership levels and user's membership should be visible below his/her avatar.
4. Member of the week based on voting/other criteria.
5. Use of abusive and racists remarks must lead to the IP ban of the user.
6. Easy quoting should be added.
7.Permission to upload audio/video content from users based on their membership types. This content may require some moderation/approval system.
8. This site should be like a community where users make code of conduct/rules and regulate the sites based on their membership level. In this way we can have a good number of moderators. Moderators may be selected by the site admin/owner and/or by the current moderators.
