    PML-N leader Javed Hashmi all set to join PTI

    ISLAMABAD - The PML-N leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi is all set to join Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
    Reliable sources informed Online that all formalities have been duly fulfilled for a formal announcement within next few days. Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has been reported to be quite agitated over being constantly ignored/bypassed/sidetracked, and is known to have publicly criticided PML-N’s leadership in meetings.
    Seeking no peace of mind, he has finally decided to resign from PML-N and join PTI. Sources have informed that he was constantly in touch with Imran Khan over the issue and Imran Khan eventually acquiesced to his (Makhdoom Javed) request.
    Sixty-three years old leader of the PML-N Javed Hashmi is a key opposition leader in Pakistan, and one of the prominent leaders of the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) which campaigned against the Musharraf regime.
    He started his career in politics during his university days from the platform of Islami Jamiat Tulaba (IJT), the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In the capacity of his practical politics, he has also served in Zia-ul-Haq‘s cabinet.
    On April 12 2004, he was sentenced to 23 years in prison for inciting mutiny in the army, forgery and defamation, by circulating a letter written by military officers calling for an investigation into alleged corruption in the armed forces and criticising President Pervez Musharraf and his relationship with US President George W Bush

    IMO JH will not change party, but I don't know for sure. If he had the will then he would have done it much earlier, but I have doubts about another prominent Nooner.

    oh man, this would be huge.
    After Abdul Sattar Edhi and people that work for him,
    Javed Hashmi is the most respected, decent individual.

    Did anyone report Nawaz Sharif sharing a bunk bed at Bilawal House?

    Personally I have respect for leaders like Javed Hashmi. I just fail to understand why they stay with such filthy top leadership. Until further also for people like Saad Rafique. Just like other mortals they are not perfect, but overall seen they are decent people.

    Musharraf wasn't able to make him join Q league then why would he join Q league Plus now. Everything that he stood for all these years would simply go down the drain if he joins Pakistan Turncoats Inc.

    i really doubt it because SMQ has already joined PTI and is VC--number two in the party. SQM and JH share the same constituncey (Makhdoom Rasheed and Jahanian) and apart from 1997 , JH has always lost to SMQ from this seat since 1993 when SMQ shifted to this seat.

    JH has been in assembly becuase twice he was elected from lhr , once from Na96 in 1993 and na 123 in 2002. Even now , he is sitting mna from multan city seat.

    Having said that , it would be very tought for JH to join PTI because at the moment its not realistic that PTI ticket from any other constituncey can lead him into assembly.

    But lets see.

    If Javed Hasmhmi decided to leave PML N then its a best news of 2011 for me.

    Only person in PML N who stand up against Martial law / Mush spent count less night in jail but didnt leave Pakistan with Mafi Nama.

    He will remain respectable to me even if he is part of PML but if he decided to join PTI thats very very good news.
    If he didnt supported Musharaf regime despite all the hardship then then he must be leaving PML N for good cause.

    In my opinion, Javed Hashmi was and has been a total misfit in the PML. It has been difficult to understand why he is having to defend a party that is very often indefensible.

    He is a genuine individual and he will be an asset for any party he chooses to join.

    Such analysis coming from folks whose leader is being fast tracked to extinction by the scores of lotas pushed by the establishment into his drawing room party. Don't worry friends, we can always use Lota Khan as one of our councillors out of Mianwali.

    Once the gun culture in KHI is finished the same will happen to MQM.

    Javed Hashmi told in a interviw with BBC that "Pakistan politics is controled by sugar mafia including Nawaz Sharif, Shabaz Sharif, choudhri brothers, Zardari and others".

    Suger producers are called "mafia" becoz they control everything from sugar fields, factory, import-export, wholesale to retail outlets. it is a risk free investment

    The point is as follows;

    Is Javed Hashmi good for Pakistan?

    I think the answer to that is yes.

    So what party he chooses to join is his privilege and so let him serve Pakistan in a manner he sees fit.

    @SN

    I agree to some extent, but have you pondered over what kind of performance he can show us by staying with Nawaz Sharif?
    Will he not be restricted to almost a symbolic value?

    Have you noticed that he is often representing PML-N on TV screens, when N-league want to show their visionary face and as soon as that stage is over the remaining and usual suspects take over like f.ex. Nisar, Hanif A., Abid S. Ali, Ahsen Iqbal, Farooq al-Siddiq etc. All of whom can lie without blinking and WITHOUT SHAME?

    What performance the likes of Javed Hashmi could show us if their wings are not clipped?

    And, of course the decision is his alone!

    Thank you Pace Baby,

    However, Javed Hashmi also said that NS is a visionary who can get things done and categorically acknowledged him to be his leader and party discipline holds supreme to JH.

    I don't see anything unusual in his stance. Well I guess, anything can be deduced to one's liking.

    Here you see the sincerity of S73. The clip you have provided is 15 min. 20 sec. and S73 "manages" to answer in 10 minutes ;)

    My claim is (I might be wrong) that no matter what proof you provide people like him are not going to admit the truth! They are just not brave enough!

    Sandanavian;

    I agree, Javed Hashmi cannot be expected to defend the indefensible contradictions of PML N.

    Like I said, in PML N, he is the odd one out.

    With a vibrant (imperfect as it may be) media in Pakistan, it is fast becoming impossible to lie to the people of Pakistan.

    This is why the parties and the people who represent status quo are in deep trouble.

    "With a vibrant(imperfect as it may be) media in Pakistan, it is fast becoming impossible to lie to the people of Pakistan.

    Exactly, and to date the Ninosaurs refuse to accept the new reality. The vibrant media is in a Baby stage i.e it has not yet fully matured and hence many anchors are making childish attempts to become popular. As you already have mentioned "as imperfect as it [media] may be) it is still a great tool to unveil the LIES and DECEPTIONS of N-League.

    The best part is that **** league has a habit of LYING and DECEIVING. 10+ years ago they get away with it, but today the CANNOT. Hanif Abbasi, Nisar A. Khan etc. can LIE one moment and in the moment they are exposed by a YouTube video of a quick response from PTI.

    BUTT will they learn? NOPE, they are stuck in the past ages ;)
