Political Actors

Yesterday, on Nov 25, 2009, Mr President has used a word or term “Political Actor” (Siasi Adakaar) repeatedly in his address to the party workers. Now people are assuming abt this term that who were the addressee of this? There are two-assumption:

    • Political parties /leaders who are not in the parliament
    • TV anchors /journalists /media groups

The second one seems more close to reality in view of present scenario and specific mentality of rulers.
Now a question is there any conspiracy against present govt or it is just his assumption? Moreover, if there is a conspiracy that how to handle it?

I think there may be a campaign by a group of media with their personal agenda but:

    • No media group can change ur power position if establishment, parliament and public with u (as Mr Zardari mentioned that all stakeholders with him... Phir kia darna pyaray ?)
    • ur bad governance and corruption provides opportunity to media groups/anchors/journalists to highlight and create a hype against u and ur govt.
    • all wrongdoings like governor Raaj in Punjab, KL bill, Rental Power plants, land scandal, NRO bla, bla bla were ur decisions and actions NOT media or jang group’ s actions. Yes, they used these all for their interest, might be for revenue generation, ratings height, popularity race, or something else.
    • u may replace bad news /negative coverage with ur good performance, good governance, positive things not rebuttals, denials, conflicts and allegations
    • President’s stature require a mature approach and language, he should not fight straightaway with TV anchors or media group.
    • Media (each segment) should not over board, should not be a part of dirty game to destabilize the system, behave mature and sensibility, and avoid spreading rumors. Just point out wrongdoings of authorities but not be a judge. Media dictatorship is also not acceptable in a civilized society.

    What do u think friends?

  4. Zardari is not more strong than Musharraf and even Musharraf was forced to leave Pakistan due to media although many pathetic analyst say that it was due to PPP or PMLN but the truth is it was media who weakened Musharraf with the help of civil society and BB took advantage of that situation.

Secondly Zardari is so stupid that he is advertising those people and Geo TV. I told before that i stopped watching Shahid masood since he accepted a position in PTV but i saw his last program because PPP banned him. I never had good feelings for people like Shaheen Sehbai but he will become hero after this speech.

Also SM and SS are not the only people who are trouble makers for Zardari and his allies, Talat, Kashif, Hamid, Kamran Khan and Mustaq Minhas are also included in the list.

The real problem is this media is showing them a mirror and these stupid people think that mirror is defected and they are right.

"Siyasi Adakaar" was also a swipe against MQM. "Drama bazi" was a clear reference to altaf. Altaf is also a foreign national and the way zardari derided him for speaking about sindh when he knew nothing about sindhi culture, it was obvious that battle lines have been drawn.

The speech of zulfiqar mirza yesterday and his statement today, followed by MQM's response, it is clear that the coalition is on death bed.
