I predict that in the next 5 years, CJ Iftikhar Schodry and Ali Ahmed Kurd will be in the assembly and most probably, if there is a baghawat in the army, the junior cadre of officers might install CJ as a president once he leaves office..
Same with Ali Ahmed Kurd....

Kurd was going to run in last election but opted out on the request of other lawyers just like Aitzaz Ahsan.
CJ still has 4 more years as he retires in 2013. He can run for parliament if he wishes as a citizen of Pakistan after retirement.

Kurd was on capital talk two days ago. I would not call this issue dead. +1

Why not take it as a query to probe feelings/thinking for some known personalities and also about the forth coming events.
There is no harm when one goes for such probes. My opinion about Ahmed Kurd is that he was a mouthpiece during the 'judiciary restoration movement' and had some weight along with Aitzaz Hassan. He shone standing along with him but on his own he is just another lawyer. His remaining reputation is bound to go down the drain if he will not distance himself from 'not so well reputed' Human Rights NGO's. Missing persons case (a multidimensional case) is so hot that it won't be touched upon by anyone as of now, not even by CJ who has put it on a temp hold.
CJ will play a pivotal role in Pakistan Politics for some time to come.
