  1. I agree that we dont have any self respect but at least we could pretend. Shame on our president, if you want to give him protocol then only the minister shah mehmood qureshi was enough. Look at him standing like a complete idiot in the middle.
    Shame on you Mr. President.

Those who have a pinch of "Self respect" ,,, do you think they will pretend? I think they will die before falsely pretending. Better we realize our worth better we will get rid of our complexes.

Sir we are trouble makers for the world. Can't look after ourselves, can't even sustain ourselves. And you want the beggars to "pretend" to have self respect!??

  4. you ppl have forgotten one thing .
    he is ZARDARI .
who don't even know the spelling of SELF RESPECT .
he has never been to get introduced with this Chirya ,named respect.

  5. @Fahim,
    do u mean ...
President should be bend down to his knees on the stage in front of Mr. Hallbrook?
    i agree
for boot licking ...u need to be in this posture .
that will may help Zardari to get some more pennies in the name of Swat for his OWN POCKET .

No that's another extreme. But at least he should not pretend as some respectable scholars are suggesting that "WE DON't NEED YOUR SUPPORT".

I know where you are coming from and you aren't wrong either!
in fact I would be the first one to support your view when those ghairatmant mard-e-mujahids like hameed guls, Iks etc suggest pak govt to glare americans in the same way like oily Iran is doing, though I don't think standing alongside mr halbrooke can help our cause in any practical way..in fact it is not a part of protocol either and by doing so you are just giving people a chance to ridicule yourself!!!

I am not asking him to pretend for himself. He knows very well how much self respect he has for himself. But the matter is that he is not representing Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, he is representing a whole country and there could be few people still left in this country who could possibly have some self respect so just for the sake of those people, pretend a little.

these unwanted incidents of being at a wrong place at the wrong time along with those good for nothing t.v interviews to each and every channel in the world should be avoided by pakistani presidents!

p.s How many times have we seen Manmohan singh appearing on the tele ?

Standing beside him or not doesn't make any difference. It will not HIDE the fact that we are living as parasites on the world. Sucking their blood and troubling Iran, Afghanistan, China, and India while also pleading for help.

At this forum a respectable scholar out of sheer emotionalism wrote regarding current IDP crisis "We don't even spit on the sympathies and help of any Sindhi or Punjabi". It really sickened me, because how can a person enjoying internet connection that too probably in his/her home out of Pakistan can talk on the behalf of million of ppl with women and children who are Actually in Sindh and Punjab asking for help! The sheer emotionalism and arrogance can take you no where but eternal destruction!

I think if we right now need help of World Community we should ASK for it, solve our problems and than re-pay the world after we settle our home! That would be THE NOBLEST thing to do in my opinion.

I too was not talking about AZ as a person either. I was talking about President of Pakistan (that means representing you and me).

I salute the self respect of "those few" who are still in Pakistan and alive :).

  12. we are living like parasites since the creation of our country. But somehow this is not working, and this is not working because we transfer all this amount to our swiss accounts instead of spending it in pakistan. So this is the exact reason why we need more money from outside. The outside money could definitely help but it will not help until we have such morons ruling on us.

If I am deducing correctly you are assuming that the fault lies with the "Leaders", while I am of the opinion that the fault lies with the "Attitudes" of Pakistanis as a nation. There are morons not just in the corridors of power but they are among us living next to our doors!

Until 1980's the Corruption was not the problem of our political elite. But still we were parasites and dependent on the foreign aid!

Stop faking self respect and dignity. Acknowledge your short comings and weaknesses and then try to improve. The other day in Live with Talat program, the anchor was furious on the fact that Hillary clinton sat before the two presidents of Afghanistan and Pakistan. While forgetting the fact that they both were there to BEG MONEY!

Either you show the self respect by "STOP BEGGING" money or you say that "PAKISTANIS MUST BE RESPECTED". These terms are in complete contradiction and only one could happen at a time.

    Don’t be Like Ostrich,
Revaluate where do we stand and why who are the mighty characters brought us to this slump.. Answer is ONLY Mighty establishment rule..

They say first deserve then desire..

An elected Prime minister is ridiculed and hanged makes the Nation proud

Other elected PM is disgracefully removed and is rescued by Clitons and Hariris flown away on a Saudi special plane to live 10 years in exile has left some respect in Nation.

Other elected PM is disgracefully removed and remains in exile brings respect to nation.

Ayub kahn the mighty Army Man offers the air bases to USA brings respect

Zia the mighty Army Man sells nation for Afghan Jihad in return for petro dollars brings respect.

Mousharraf the mighty Army Man sells Nation on one phone call brings respect to Nation..

You think King Abdullah seen hugging and Kissing Obama has done good favors to the Nation and has brought more respect.

The First person who asked Financial Help from USA was Quad-e-Azam himself… And then what followed is history we all are aware of.

Guys our Nation is fractured only by our internal intrigues and whole world very well knows about it.

Lets get out of this shabby protocolish respects.

President Zardari is trying hard to break all these protocolish myths and running from USA to Iran, China to UK, Libya to Saudi involving International community to help us gut out of this Mess..

The Man is on the missionary Mission and deserve whole Nation Support .

God Bless you Zardari Please Go on and let the talker talk.. we don’t need paper respect we need real strength ….
We dont need Kings hushing bushing with Obama we need selfless Leader like you to take the Nation out of drain...

I am not locating the fault at the moment. even the point which you are talking about; the change could only come from top to bottom, it will never travel from bottom to the top.

My point is that the money which we beg never get consumed by us. It is for the political elite and establishment and this is the reason why we always appear as beggars. For filling their own pockets, our establishment and our political leadership have made the whole country beggar and this is something which i hate and this is something against which i have written few sentences.
It is impossible to fill their pockets no matter how much you beg.

  16. i agree with letsdoit.
why he is making us disgraced for the money ...
we have never been able to have a penny spend on us .
Bilawal ,Bakhtawer and Asifa should feel disgraced and disrespected as their Dad is doing it JUST FOR THEM.

    @beenai Dont get emotional

I say again The first person who asked for mony from USA was Quaid-e-Azam himself..

Now that you have Free Chaudhary’ Judge, Accountability also been done by ruthless to zardari an other Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan.

If any money goes to any body pocket should be surely a matter of concern and the person be taken to task...

But what to talk of proof not even single allegation against present government of such nature..

  18. @shamwariz,
    INTENTION is the key word.
what Quiad e millat wants from USA in 1950s ...
is not what Zardari wants from the same USA .

another key word is track record .........
    u know what i mean?
    who owns surrey palace?
    u or me ?

    Well said...

    INTENTION is the key word.....

    Lets look forward with positivity.

We had enough of and have been hostage to Surrey Palces, Raiwind palaces, illicit Childs (your favorite Imran Khan), Farrah Dogars, Arslans (again you’re favorite CJ Chaudhary’). Maryam Nawaz, Qarz utaro Mulk Sanwaro…

Establishment has kept us wisely nakeding the personalities and where they have landed us …

Lets have a beginning don’t dig the graves. I assure you the graves of your favorites would be more uglier then others…

  20. @Shamwariz,
no1..i am not talking about favoritism out here i am talking about how a head of the state should act ...when he is standing with a representative of a bigger country .
    noting personal ...

yah u took it personally ...as somehow u feel ashamed what your favorite leader does ...
don't need to feel like this .
    all leaders are corrupt ...
regardless of urs and mines .
    yah
only one of mt favorite leader is not corrupt .
    which was Quiad e Azam.

otherwise i am done with all ..
and have accepted the fact that they are not going to do any better for us .
so i AM NOT GETTING EMOTIONAL ...at all
if some one says bad things about Nawaz or Imran .

    2... your problem is that
u are badly attached with PPP
and your heart is not willing to give a chance to your brain to come up with a logical conclusion.
    anyways
say whatever u wanna say about Nawaz n imran
i use to have hopes with them
but my heart has handed over charge to my mind .
and my mind has rejected all of them
    one to all
nobody fits into my criteria of a LEADER .
    end of the story
i dont believe into preaching the old GODS .
even after the revelation has come.

Who has made us "Beggers" is separate discussion. The point is Pakistan now needs World support (Financial as well as Moral). We don't have enough resources at this point of time to support IDPs and overall economic situation of Pakistan.

And when you are in a situation when you have to depend on others to sustain yourself, you loose your respect and dignity.

That's your opinion that Change comes from Top to bottom. I disagree with that. I don't wait for any mehdi or Essa to come and guide us to enternal peace. I believe that change will and must be brought by people of this country.

  22. YOU CAN WELL ASSESS THE SITUATION FROM THE UNDERMENTIONED TOPIC OF ONE RECENT bOOK " jinnah se zardari tak"

    This is self explainatory.

When ever Military Dictator is compelled to leave they always guarantee One civil stupid to replace so that people within 6 months start saying" Military Dictator was better than this bas*****."

You think US and other countries are helping us because we are good beggars. lolz. My dear they are helping us because we are fighting their war. Stop this war and then ask Zardari to show his talent, i bet he will not be able to bring a penny from outside. This is the only reason why without prior arrangements he gave a hasty decision of starting war and this is why IDPs are facing management problems.

A good leader/politician could cash this situation when the super powers are having their vested interest in your countries but unfortunately our leaders are very stupid and on the other side we are having very intelligent people who threaten zardari with one or two statements and show that they could support army and then zardari acts like their slaves and then instead of telling our genuine problems he has to use the word Democracy 3 times in every sentence.

I am not sure why he feels so insecure? why he thinks that only US could keep his Govt. why he dont trust people of pakistan? the example of Iftikhar Ch. is in front of him, despite of the fact that US was not willing for him to come back, people of pakistan brought him back. Due to his insecurities he himself is acting like a beggar and he has made the whole nation look like beggars.
