This is the most disgusting news I came across today. How dare these people protest against the Maseeha's of our nation? After all, they have taken oath that they will serve their families and bellies with the blood of innocent people.
These so called Masseha's are worst then the suicide bombers as they are charging hefty fees and already providing **** service to the people. I have visited and witness the appalling level of care our people are getting from these blood sucking leeches and vultures.
Zardari should do one good thing that he should include this profession as "Essential Services" and a law should be passed to forbid any strikes in hospitals by the medical staff.
At least our doctors are helping keep Pakistani population low. I think if we didn't have doctors in Pakistan our population would have been more than China.

Why don't these doctors strike in Private Sector until their demands are met? But they won't strike as they are already butchering the common public in private sector.
Look at these baighairat MASSEHA of Pakistan..
@ khan
thora rest ker lean apka dimagh kaam kerna chor giya hai ... doctors dont take oaths ... it is a fact that they r under paid ... and 'essential services' wot a freaking joke .. take a look at the 'essential services' in WEST and see how ppl r suffering from these 'essential services' ... stop venting ur anger issues at others just coz u feel like bashing sum1
Strike karnay walay doctors ko ulta latkaa doo. Baysharam kahein kay.
@Dead...
In west, Doctor's don't strike. A normal Doctor works any thing between 60 to 90 hours per week (upto 1999, the working week had over 100 hours per week. These hours are the NHS hours, means Govt Hospital doctor working hours not private)
Pakistani doctor's had it easy. They are bleeding their patient day in and out and they do not have any conscious, so stop give me this crap about low pay as they earn loads from their private practice.
You sound like one of those loser doctors too. Are you one of them? LOL And Doctor DO take oath.. ever heard of "Hippocratic Oath"
Khan_Sahib,
doctors in the west make shat load of money? And yes they have threatened to go on strike here in Canada over compensation issues!!
Aap zarra batain kitnay kamatay hain Uk mein and then compare it to Pakistan.
On an average young doctors merely makes 20k - 30k, is that a good enough salary you think??
@ khan
ise liye i said take rest kounke dimagh kaam nahi ker raha aap ka ... they work 60-90 hours to PRINT money (yeas i did not say earn i said PRINT).. and these doctors who are striking (Young Doctors) they are not bleeding their patients in private sector ... they cannot work in private sector ... dahhhhhhh use ur brain .. they are YOUNG doctors .. they cannot do private practise coz they are not established .. i was going to say aqal ko haath maro but then i realised aqal ho ge to hath maro ge aap ...
and i knew a loser like urself would get low to ask this question and guess wot .. i will leave this as a 'brain development' exercise for u :P
@DEll...
In Pakistan, Medical education is free... In 1993 a medical student was paying 500 RS per year which I think may have gone up to RS.1500 per year while in UK, you have to pay £ 20000 per year.
In Pakistan a medical student uses every unfair means to pass their exams which is unheard in west.
In Pakistan once you become a Doctor and become a specialist (lets say 10 years experience) you can potentially earn RS. 20000 per week.... In UK you will earn £ 4000 to £ 5000 per month. (You pay around £1500 to £2000 tax per month)
In UK, you can not become a CONSULTANT after just your MBBS but you have to undergo atleast8 to 10 years of training plus post graduation while in Pakistan, doctor's claim to be a consultant from the very first day and no one can challenge you.
College of Physicians and surgeons in pakistan (CPSP) is the ONLY POST GRADUATE COLLEGE in the WHOLE WORLD where a post graduate paper was out in 1993-1994. That tells a lot about our honest doctors.
If doctors make shite loads of money then they make this money from their hard work, honesty and dedication. I have worked around 100 to 120 hours per week (being paid for 65 hours) for few years before progressing.. How many doctors do you know who spend even 40 hours per week and "WORK" in a govt hospital and not chatting up nurses or engaged in extra activities.
Chorooo yaar, Zabban na khulwaoe.... i have over 100 friends who are doctors in pakistan on my fb account and I know how do they work....
Khan_Sahib
I think you are out of touch with reality of Pakistani doctors!
In Pakistan nowadays it costs millions of Rupees to get an MBBS, because of so many private Universities. My friends sister paid a fortune at Agha Khan University.
Doctors in Canada make $500/hour. On average a doctor starts at 400/hr and goes up from there!!
In Pakistan it's a real bad situation for these young doctors, they have paid a huge sum of money for their education and now they are barely making any money to cover it!!!
@Dead brains...
Junior doctors DO work in PRIVATE SECTOR! If you don't live in some MENTAL ASYLUM then go and visit any private hospital and check the juniors and their credentials. To an extent that when I Visited pakistan during earthquake with a team of doctor's, we were given a local medical student (4th year) who invited us for tea to his practice. The name plate on his clinic said some thing like this...
Dr. XYZ
MBBS, RMP, MS, MRCOG, FRCS, MRCP
When I asked him a bout his degrees, he said, no body even cares or know about these degrees and he has been practicing medicine for some years...
Now, My guess about you was rite... ha ha
Don't worry... if you are a loser doctor today... very soon you will also join the gang of these "Maseeha's" who have no principles but money is their soul and Imaan.. chill and take your Pills
@DELL,
I am not talking about private medical colleges but the government medical colleges... please compare the fees before passing a judgement..
u met one doctoe and u pass judgement abt every tom, **** n harry ... wot a GENIUS ...

Luckily my technique proved usefull...i hope you understand what my motive was behind....:P

And despite 20 people being killed due to doctor's strike, there are still some of our clever friends who actually support these vultures. Doctor's job in hospitals should be part of ESSENTIAL SERVICES. I am amazed that these people are not happy with 20000 hike in their pay... Are they out of their mind?
@dell
Where is your self-proclaimed leader of young, Imran?
I thought he has seen the light of Islam and he was not materialistic?
@Sipahi.....
What is that to do with Imran Khan? Was the doctor's strike called by Imran khan or PTI? Please fill us in if you know the inside story?
@KHAN SAHIB,
I do not have any inside story and I am not claiming that IK called for the strike.
My comment is only based on repeated claim by Imran Khan that Young People of Pakistan are on his side.
As a self-proclaimed leader, he had an obligation to tell his followers not to strike, specially in emergency rooms.
Because, this will be against weak and poor, against Islamic principles, against unity within Pakistan, etc.
@Sipahi .. agree... But the way you put it as if it's his fault. It's the inert greed in our society which has transformed us into vultures. These doctor's can strike for money and would see people dying? Are they muslims? are they educated? SHAME ON THEM .... How would these doctor's react when their own father, mother and siblings are brought into emergency room... Will they also be denied medical treatment?
It's a very famous incident in Karachi's JPMC Hospital where a renowned Neuro surgeon who was famous for asking money beforehand, was told one day that a young guy has been brought in Accident and emergency with a head injury and needs urgent neuro surgery. He said to his assistant that ask the family for a hefty advance before he would see this patient. When he was told that no one knows about his family as he was brought in by an ambulance after an accident, the neuro surgeon refuse to see him. Later when this neurosurgeon was about to leave the hospital to go home, out of curiosity, he just popped in to Accident and emergency to see the fate of that injured patient. When he asked the on duty junior doctor, he told him that the patient died. He went to see the dead man and as soon as he lift the white sheet to see the person.... Guess what? It was his own SON! Rest is history ...... May ALLAH give these doctor's some sense as by neglecting their duties, they are killing people.... I thought they were the Massiha's? Guess.. In pakistan, they are just butchers...
I 100 percent supoort punjab govt and shabazz on this.
Doctor,s strike is intolerable. Shabaz is doing the right thing by hiring new ones and kicking them out. This balck mailing must stop.
are they striking only in punjab ??? ... it shud be a national level organization ... if that is true, why is punjab govt solving this problem ... shudnt it be central govt dealing with this issue ???
WELL DONE PUNJAB GOVT.... ALTHOUGH I HATE PMLN BUT I WELCOME THIS BRAVE DECISION. THESE DOCTORS ARE NOT LIFE SAVERS BUT GREEDY VULTURES.
does any1 know the name of the doctors who run this organization ??? i mean the president, sectary etc who run the organization .. i want to know if they are also 'youung doctors' or some senior doctors are running the show ???

Well one of the MAIN CAUSES every one is overlooking is Shahbaz's "blue-eyed boy", the most incompetent Fawad Hasan Fawad, the Health Secretary. He is fvcking up everything to do with health here in Punjab...
An officer 'indispensable' for Punjab's health
LAHORE, March 16: An officer enjoying a 'special favour' by the province's chief executive has been allowed to attend the 9th Senior Management Course of the National Institute of Management without relinquishing the charge of his office.
Fawad Hasan Fawad, a BS-19 officer, is attending the SMC, which began on Feb 28, without relinquishing the charge of Punjab health department secretary.
Considered a 'blue-eyed boy' of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Mr Fawad was the only participant among the batch of some 110 senior government officials who had been given a “special concession” to continue as health secretary, the sources said.
Mr Fawad is already working against a BS-20 post.
...A health department official, seeking anonymity, told Dawn Mr Fawad was attending his classes regularly from 8am to 4pm and at the same time he was visiting his office at the Punjab Civil Secretariat at 6pm, causing a great deal of inconvenience to other officials.
He said after joining the SMC, Mr Fawad had issued
standing ordersto his staff, heads of the medical institutions and other health facilities to extend their duty hours till 8pm, at least. Since Mr Fawads joining the course, the officers concerned had been attending departmental meetings at the health secretarys office almost daily after 6pm, he added.These officers had no option but to wait for their
boss, either at their respective offices or at the Punjab Civil Secretariat, instead of being with their families after the routine duty timings, he said.The official alleged that the Young Doctors
Association issue which resulted in a great deal of inconvenience to the patients was alsomishandledbecause of Mr Fawads hectic schedule.The health secretary`s work schedule is also affecting the members of the public and department employees hailing from far-flung areas of the province who have to visit his office for various reasons and are told to wait till late in the evening or contact the office after completion of the course.
Fawad Hasan has created a chaos in the Health Deparment by his total and blatant disregard for merit. All the Principals and the Chief Executives of the teaching hospitals in Punjab have been posted out of turn. There is simply no rule or law in the Health Department in Punjab. All you have to do is to line up to offer the 'special services' for the CM and you can get away with anything.
A private person, Rauf Hasan, has been appointed as the Director General Public Relations (DGPR) in 2010 has caused strong concerns among information service officials. He is Health Secretary Fawad Hasan Fawad’s brother.
that is wot i wanted to get at .. hum bari asani se baith ke bol detey hain keh ye doctors ghalat ker rahe hain .. fatwey jari ker detey hain .. lekun masla kon aur kahan create ker raha hai ye nahi soochtey .. dcotors jo buntey hain wo paisey kamaney ke liye hi buntey hain .. like any other profession, they also have to run their families and provide food .... dont think they are any different makhlooq ... so they have the right to look after their interests also .. find the root cause and resolve that .. dont treat them any different then u would like to be treated in ur own profession
KHAN_Sahib
You are absolutely right that Doctor's job in hospitals should be part of ESSENTIAL SERVICES. In toronto, recently Toronto transit has been declared essential service. As in the past, on a number of occasions transit riders suffered a lot due to strike by transit union. If doctors want big pays, they should find the jobs in private sectors, why they are killing patients due to their strike.
@Khan Sahib
If I (IK) claim to be leader of a group of population, in this case Young Pakistanis, then I (IK) should be ready to take blame for greed based decisions being made by people I (IK) am claiming to lead.
Leadership is to steer people in correct direction.
@Sipahi you blind f@rt:
Yeh lou tassalli ker lou, ab bak bak band karo!!
@dell
Are you saying that IK supports greed of "Young Doctors"?
It is sad that a respected profession of doctor has been destroyed due to greed.It is sad that people are playing politics and encouraging greed.
Even in countries like USA, doctors first have to go for 16 years of school, then 4 years of medicine and then 5-6 years of residency before they make decent amount of money. They have to have malpractice insurance and are taken to court because of any mistake.
Doctors in Pakistan are lucky that they enter in medical college after 12 years of education, fees in govenrment medical college is negligible and they get upset on pay they get while they are being trained in hospitals as they get their initial job.
Also, they are lucky that they do not have to worry about malpractice insurance.
Really shameful, over 20 patients have died due to doctor's strike and Pti delegation (as per above news) instead showing the act of solidarity with the patients will support the killer doctors. Here again pti playing politics over the lives of patients dying in the emergency rooms.
Did you not see the incompetence of Punjab government in handling this issue?
Where was the back up when Doctors were on strike?
Is it PTI's responsibility to handle this case or the so called Khadim e Aala's job who is running the show in Punjab?
Government employees from all backgrounds are protesting in Punjab, why not in KPK, Sindh or Baluchistan??
It's the evidence of Shahbaz's infamous administrative skills!!!
Ask Shahbaz Sharif what happened instead of Imran Khan?
Imran is not the Chief Minister of Punjab!!
I am not defending government.
I had better expectation from IK, who claims to be a leader, that he will see folly in striking emergency and stop people he claims to lead.
May be IK was blinded by his hate.
@ dell
If u are not blind then just scroll above and u could get all details of the Punjab govt efforts, facts and figure in this issue posted by one of your own Pti supporter KHAN_Sahib
Govt mishandled doctors issue, observes LHC CJ
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry on Thursday came hard on the Punjab government for mishandling the issue of young doctors strike, observing that the government had completely failed to handle the issue.
Hearing a writ petition against doctors strike, the CJ observed that the mishandling of the issue had led to many deaths besides causing great inconvenience to the general public. He also expressed displeasure over performance of Health Secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad for making no timely attempt to resolve the issue. If the secretary is unable to deliver, he should be removed from the post. The Punjab chief minister suspended the Lahore commissioner and other officers in 24 hours but, despite passage of 36 days, the Punjab government did not take any action against inefficient officers, including the health secretary, the CJ remarked. ...
Medical bodies, bureaucrats feel left out
LAHORE, April 7: The Punjab government and the Young Doctors Association
s provincial chapter again bypassed the professional medical bodies and senior doctors as the two sides kept them “in the dark” before reaching an agreement in Thursdays meeting.Even the Punjab chief secretary, the health secretary, MNAs, MPAs and the principals of teaching institutions were kept away from the issue as the young doctors were annoyed with
bureaucratswho they blamed for mishandling the issue from day one.Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif called a high-level meeting of some 200 senior doctors including principals of the 17 teaching institutions and major health facilities of the province, senior doctors, teachers and consultants to solve the over month-long health crisis.
The Punjab chief secretary, the health secretary, MPA Dr Saeed Elahi and Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman were present besides leaders of medical associations.
Each participant in the meeting, especially the heads of the teaching institutions and their faculty members, had prepared their suggestions and solutions to present them to the chief minister.
The teaching institutions had also discussed the issue at length at the hurriedly-called Academic Council meetings a day earlier (Wednesday). They all reached the University of Health Sciences at 1pm but had to wait for the chief minister for more than four hours.
It was shocking for them when they were informed (at the meeting) that the chief minister had successfully resolved the salary issue during a meeting with the YDA office-bearers.
“Were we called to convey this message only,” one of the participants burst out after a senior health official disclosed the
development...
