Punjab: Students vs. Administration

(6 posts)
  1. Couple of days ago there was an incident at University of Agriculture Faisalabad at which students supposedly attacked the "vice chancellor`s house, torching a security vehicle and pelting the officials with stones." (sorry I don't know what was the cause of these protests as I cannot find a story explaining it...)

Yesterday the students (both male and female) of University of Education (UoE) peacefully protesting against removal of two senior faculty members were brutally attacked by police.

Today, there is news that "angry students of Gordon College Rawalpindi on Wednesday locked the principal in his room for several hours as a sign of protest.

What is going on, eh Shahbaz??

Note: The UoE students claimed they were first attacked by JT goons brought over from University of Punjab by the VC. So I found this headline a bit ticklish:
(JI's) Liaquat Baloch condemns police lathi-charge

  6. Jamiat still remains the largest goonda student organisation throughout Pakistan education system. I have personally witnessed Jamiat's badmashi and goondagardi in early 1980s.
