Qoumi Nakhra! Nations Pride! by Mulla!

(15 posts)
  1. Observation:

Studying Nations and Nations nakhra, realized , there is an "element" of pride in the Gora nation. Let me use a real life example to explain what I mean....

A Paindu from mardan who had never even known where America is on a world map, found out that his long lost uncle had sponsored him in USA so he will be going to USA. Guess what this paindu had never ever had a pant shirt in his life, and in his 21 years of age he had never worn a pant, but on the day of travel he made sure that he wore a pant and a shirt....(a very small issue but I will open us national psychology with this example just bear with me)....

similarly, a gora 23 of age who got hired by a Canadian firm to work in Karachi in power sector, and he was also a paindu from Boston and first time in his life he heard the name of Pakistan......and when the day came to fly, he was wearing his knee length shorts and his T shirt....he did not "change".....

Deduction: One abandons beizzat items and adopts Izzat-wali items! The paindu did not find izzat in his national simple, clean dress and adopted western attire because he "saw" honor, while the Gora also did not find izzat in the pakistani dress, gora did not "see honor", thats why he did not adopt it!

    Conclusion:
A nations greatness, stems from its "follow-ability"...if others are copying you and feeling better, when they copy you...then YOU are a great nation...and if YOU are the one who IS copying.....guess what.....you are slave!

Final thought: Arabs and goras are the most imitated races on the planet. Arabs for religion and Gora for style!

What do scholars say about this ?

This is a one dimensional analysis...so keep focused.....

    I disagree.
Firstly, because Mardan does not have any paindus.

Secondly, Americans and westerners assume everyone in the world knows their language and culture. For example, when an american goes to a foriegn land where people do not know his language, he will still talk in english but he will slow down. He will add pauses between each word hoping and expecting the other person to understand. This is not his pride, this is the fact that American/British culture is internation culture and an ignorant and a paindu american from South Mississipi would think whole world knows and understands his culture.

Thirdly, khan sahab from Mardan or Khokhar sahab from Gujraat will put on farangee clothes because he does not want to appear out of place. In Pakistan wearing farangi libaas is not unusual but in American wearing shalwar qameez in South Dakota is highly unusual. Similarly, same Khokhar sahab will put on farangi libaas even if he is going to Sudan or Nepal. Again, this is due to the fact that
    (a) farangi culture is an international one
    (b) no person would like to appear out of place

Also, in our culture people tend to guage you in your personal life with the outfit you put on. They will stare at you or do small talk or laugh or criticise you on what you wear. This is not the case in western culture or atleast not at the same extent. Please note I am talking about personal lives, not professional or office attire.
For example, if you are wearing a see through top or it is ripped or torn, it is highly likely that someone will point that out to you in no time. In NY subway for example, you can wear whatever you like to wear and probably no one will point that out to you. Infact, people wont even care or even notice that.

So, it is not as simple as copying or being a zehni ghulam.

  4. totally confused U R!

when you yourself know that in private life westerners do not care what one is wearing....and which is true, then how come Tablighi jamat or the religious scholars from Pakistan put on a suit!

anyone who relives himself in an open field and cleans his tush with stones is classified as a Paindu....! (this is a funny item so dont get bent out of shape)

And to be honest, why dont you wear sunnah dress in USA ? can you explain your own phobia ? while you belive that no one cares what one wears in private life...so why dont you have a beard and an amamah and a tehmud ?

  5. croco if you say that, and lets say if that idea of yours that we the pakis are very considerate, then why dont our people wear dhoti when they travel to bangladesh ?

Would you wear a dhoti when you trave to nepal ? 98% of nepalese are dhotiposh ...i am just pointing out the deep psychological beizzati we feel about being ourselves as a nation and we follow blindly! thats the core issue...

Americans do not care what you wear in public, but we do!

    This is another issue.

I believe muslims in west would wear kurta shalwar when going to masjid, because such attire in a masjid is not out of place. An american wearing jeans and Tee in Peshawar is not out of place because he will find people in qissa khowani bazar wearing almost the same outfit as himself.

A paindu may wear suit and tie going back to Pakistan because he still has to go through custom and checking and american airport.

Yes, people do get impressed by someone speaking in english and wearing suit tie but you should see how it goes in India. They are just a little short of literally licking the boots of any gora they see.

    @Mulla

your examples are weird, but I agree with your conclusions:

"A nations greatness, stems from its "follow-ability"...if others are copying you and feeling better, when they copy you...then YOU are a great nation...and if YOU are the one who IS copying.....guess what.....you are slave!"

However, your selection of word "slave" is bit harsh and smells the sense of humiliation. If you are at a receiving end, it does not often necessarily mean that you are inferior or incapable. Sometimes you have to lower yourself to learn more. More you will accept that you know nothing and ask questions, more you will learn. Same is true for Nations. If any nation is performing better thn we should adopt their good things without any shame. This may or may not ultimately lead us to be inspirers. Arabs and Goras too were once at receiving end.

Very good. Excellent criteria of assessing someone's musalmani. What else can I say?
