    I think shiv sena will not be doing anything as this is WC and india cannot afford such incidents at the big events.
    My concern is a common pakistani supporter will be unnecessarily subjected to harrasmen in the name of Taliban.

    Instead of Taliban,Indian r terrified whenever they listen to Lashkar-e-Taiba's (LeT) name.

    Pakistan should have a contingency plan in place,in case Pakistan fails to reach Final then it should use its links with Mumbai's underworld and sabotage the event. If Sh!t Sena can threaten Pakistani team then Pakistan too should get even with him

    Rehman Malik was born in Sialkot, Pakistan on 12 December, 1951 . He got his secondary and intermediate education from Sialkot and did his masters from University of Karachi. His website claims that he also holds an MSc in Statistics and PhD in Criminology.1 Recently a government website also claimed that he holds these degrees.2 However, neither this information was given at the time of his appointment as Advisor to Prime Minister nor is there any record of him ever enrolling in any Pakistani university.

    Pakistani columnist Anjum Niaz's wrote in his article in Dawn newspaper:

    "Malik rose to dizzying heights from a lowly grade 13 or 14 [in Pakistan, officer grade starts at Grade 17] officer. Stories of Malik trying to worm his way through by bribing his seniors are still fresh in our minds. Come promotion time, he'd turn up at their homes with trays laden with designer suits. By golly, it worked!"

    Starting at assets of a couple of million dollars in 2007, Rehman Malik has increased his worth to a few billion rupees in two years of his ministership.

    Jitters in India over Pakistan`s World Cup prospects

    NEW DELHI: An India-Pakistan semi-final in Mohali now looks set to be the highpoint of the current cricket World Cup but the possibility of Pakistan going on to play the finals in Mumbai is giving nightmares to the Indian security apparatus, the Indian Express said on Thursday.

    “Pakistan’s successful run in the ongoing Cricket World Cup has given fresh jitters to India that now anticipates a deluge of visa applications, over and above the 5,000 already processed,” the newspaper said.

    It said Pakistan’s High Commissioner Shahid Malik, who met Indian Home Secretary G. K. Pillai on Monday, apparently told him that with the possibility of Pakistan reaching the semi-finals and final of the World Cup fairly high, India must be ready to stamp close to 5,000 more visas of Pakistani fans.

    With an India and Pakistan match now confirmed in Mohali for March 30, problems for the security arrangement will be determined by the outcome.

    If Pakistan manage to beat India in Mohali and proceed to Mumbai for the finals, it would be their first game in the city since 1989 when they played Australia in the MRF series.

    “But what bothers the Home Ministry and security agencies is Mumbai as venue, where memories of 26/11 terror attacks are still fresh and the terror threat from the Lashkar-e-Taiba looms large,” the Indian Express said.

    The danger of the fanatical Shiv Sena creating ugly scenes and bringing the city to a halt, also could not be taken lightly, it quoted sources as saying.

    “While the Home Ministry is not worried about the semi-finals in Mohali which is close to Attari-Wagah border, and arrangements can be made for fans to come through the border point at Wagah via special buses, Mumbai has posed a real challenge,” according to the Express.

    “The Home Ministry in consultation with the Ministry of External Affairs has decided that the 45-day application period required would be waived off, but has dismissed the suggestion from Islamabad that fans be allowed to reach Mumbai by Samjhauta Express train via Attari border.”

    A government source told the Express that there were “other easier ways of reaching Mumbai, say by flight or by the sea”.

    As enough flights cannot be arranged and possibility of getting a special trainload from Attari has been ruled out, a short ship voyage from Karachi to Mumbai is being seen as a possibility, the report said.

    ISLAMABAD: Although, the disclosure of foiling a terror attempt in the World Cup has made headlines, who in Pakistan precisely knew about the would-be attackers remains a mystery as the Interior Ministry officials were completely in the dark until it was revealed in a joint press conference by Minister for Interior Rehman Malik and Interpol chief Ronald Noble.

    It is not known if Rehman Malik himself was in the picture, but it has been credibly learnt and verified from more than three sources that no officer of the Interior Ministry, right from the top to bottom, was aware of the terror plot. “The minister would have shared with us had he been in the knowledge of such a plot,” said a ministry officer.

    This is in contrast with the thanksgiving talk of the Interpol’s secretary general who said the attempt had been foiled with the help of Pakistan, among other countries. “Last week,

    with the help of Pakistan, we identified and arrested the terrorists who had left Karachi,” Nobel told the press conference on Thursday.

    Informed officials, who doubt if the minister had any information, said that even the Director General of the National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC) Brig (retd) Javed Iqbal Lodhi was caught off-guard as was Secretary Interior Qamar Zaman, who had to proceed for high-level talks to India. Both these officials did not respond to repeated calls and messages dropped for securing their version.

    An official of the NCMC said they got to know of a terror plot from a report published in an Indian newspaper. “Consequently, we spread the word around to remain alert and keep an eye on suspected plotters. But at no point, we were given any information that someone had left from Karachi for carrying out terrorist activities.”

    One wonders who knew. An officer said that if the ISI or any other intelligence agency had passed the information to Interpol, it had to be routed through the FIA headquarters and that secretary interior and DG NCMC should have been aware of what was happening. The official further said bringing it into the knowledge of the secretary was more important also for the reason that he was travelling to India this weekend for talks with his counterpart.

    The News also tried to approach the DG FIA for comments, but he didn’t respond. Ronald Noble, Interpol’s chief, during a joint press conference with the interior minister on Thursday, claimed averting a terrorist attempt with the cooperation of Pakistan. Neither Noble nor Malik disclosed anything about the identity of the terrorist or the place where he was arrested.

    کیا بلیک واٹر اور طالبان ایک نہیں ؟ کیوں کہ جب بھی کوئی دھماکہ ہوتا ہے اور طالبان قبول کرتے ہیں تو کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہ ردعمل ہے اور طالبان سے مزاکرات کریں اور اگلے دیں کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہ دھماکے بلیک واٹر کروا رہا ہے
    پر حیرت کی بات ہے کہ بلاک واٹر جماعت اسلامی کو کچھ نہیں کہتی مجھے تو شک ہے کہ منور حسن بھی بلاکک واٹر کا اجنٹ ہے

    I suspected it was a publicity stunt but the involvement of interpol gives it some credibility. Probably role of rm was exaggerated and it os possible level of threat was,nt too high either but it existed nevertheless. Rm must have used his relations with interpol to get some publicity.

    جبکہ بلیک واٹر کے مالک کا بیان موجود ہے کہ پاکستان میں بلیک واٹر کے پاس ٹھیکے ہیں
