A good article full of facts and lessons
So whats the point?
It is past. They had a bigger issue to deal with the Brits.
The key notion in the entire article is for Pakistan to back down in its defence budget and seek truce with the Indians.
Lets suppose for a min we agree to this. What is the guarantee that there wont be another Nehru amongst the Indians and violate the treaty.
Azad was right in a lot of practical steps but his focus was more of a socialist reign rather than Islamic and his criticism of the Deobandi school of thought is more on point. Case and point what happened in Afghanistan under the Taliban a Deobandi interpretation of the Hanafi law was applied resulting a complete and utter destruction.
You cant say that Indians are saints on this earth, they have more human rights violations than China. Just cos the world doesnt know about it doesnt mean that they dont occur.
Praising the Indians or falling in love with their way of living is not the solution of Pakistan's current mess.
If you read the article carefully Nehru fired the first shot not Quaid Azam. So instead of whining about Pakistan's creation one should focus more on its current problems which are all based on one province believing that it is Pakistan.
@NNL, ur absolutly right. Indian are playing with minorities . sofar more than 150000 Kashmiries and over 20000 sikhs have been killed. Here,we have a seperate identity. In so called secular state no muslim (even former muslim president ) are allowed to perform their religious obligations freely .We must work for our Pakistan rather than beating the drum for India and projecting her themes.Pakistan Zindabad
