Role of Electronic Media

    Our electronic media should give some more time to those International issues which are encompassing our national interests like: Nuclear, Water Issue, Kashmir conflict, Terrorism, integrity and unity of the nation. Unfortunately, most of the time some channels only discuss petty issues and keep on trying to create instability in the country rather than strengthening our system. Awakening is good but not at the cost of Pakistan. Some channel feel good in projecting Pakistan as fail state. Let’s suggest them to please stop for a while and air some programme for the unity of the country rather than creating hate and instability in the country

    It is all about making sale and keeping up with particular interest at heart. As you may have heard, news is always manufactured. It always present in such a way to generate interest, form opinions and more particularly bring monetary benefits to the media outlets. That is the reason, it is the fourth pillar of modern society after government, religious institutions and financiers where one hands feed to other.

    That is a moral debate if we include shoulds and woulds, don't you think. In business, they do not care or hold sides to morality, it is always about churning money hence these political talk shows.

    So, we can say that media and politicians role is same over national issues mentioned in the thread and both of them believe in business only ?

    Haha... R u kidding me? The majority of these big fish & toads have no interest what so ever in progression of this country. The meeting on water, resources distribution got cancelled between the 4 CM's & there was a one line news in the newspapers. All they can talk about is PPP & PML leaders BS & crap statements & the Topi Tamasha every evening on our TV channels which works as a comedy hour now.
