Pakistani President Mr Zardari wrote an article published in Washington Post in which he urged on US’ new administration to increase and immediate release financial aid to Pakistan. He assured the Obama govt that if they would provide full support thru funds, Pakistan’ democratic govt can play a remarkable and incredible role in War on Terror.

I think this is a request for increment in salary. Mr 10% wants salary increment or revised package for more performance. Otherwise…… he will do his job on same salary: let’s see what the boss will decide for new employee????
    What do u think ppl?

It is unfortuante to see people criticising the government for anything & everything. At least to me my leader is someone who performs be it anyone for that matter. We as a natiion need to be united & atleast give bit of the time to the government as atleast all of us realise the fact that current government has sooooo many challenges infront of them. Our political parties need to work together. No matter what Zardari is a demoocratically elected president. His party got the mendate in the elections. If we think our rulers are not good enough, its our fault then. we elected this party. Secondly, do we have a better option??? All of them are somehow same. Zardari is considered to be corrupt beacuse that is our perception about him. Zardari has a worth of $1.8 billion & Mr. Nawaz Sharif's worth is $1.4billion (Ref: http://teeth.com.pk/blog/2007/12/08/pakistans-rich-list-of-2008)now what does that mean?? Most of the cases against zardari were registered in the era of Nawaz Sharif. Infact NAB was made for Zardari. I'm not anyone's supporter. All I'm tying to say is that this is probably the time for us to go beyond street politics & blame game. I'm sure we would have been blaming the government even if it would have been PML-N's government. All we need to do right now is to stay together united. Our media should play some role & highlight the positive developments in the country as well rather than criticising the government & talking about the negative aspects all the time.

    God bless us all...

  3. Yes Zainab, it is the Pakistani people's fault we have a leader that is as much use as a broken leg.

But he is useless none-the-less, regardless whose fault it is.

As a direst result of the uselessness of Zardari, Gillani and every other 'leader' of the mainstream parties, Pakistanis are suffering to large degrees. On this point we all agree.

You say we must unite as one to solve these problems. We must unite upon common-sensically, practically, morally, just rules of law that will bring immediate relief to the common peasant in the short-term first. A fiscal policy based upon egalitarian distribution of wealth, through taxation of businesses, landlords, elites. This policy does not need to remain indefinately. Policy can develop as the economy progresses.

Although, one is aware that when Pakistan spends most of their annual budget on defending its borders, there will be a meagre slice of the cake left for 'the people'.

Our better option is good old I.K. Why? Well its obvious is it not? Just hear him speak a couple of times. If your ears are functioning it becomes quite clear very quickly, that if Pakistanis can vote in people like Shareef and Zardari, for whatever reason, can they not vote in Khan and see what he can do? Surely such a suggestion cannot be any worse than what we already have?

a person who is tagged with selling price , how can other respect him?
if our ruler or their supporters expect that whatever they (rulers) do but we as nation should do respect them.. it is not possible … a man earns respect by his character not designation
a corrupt should call as corrupt ..no matter that what designation or position he has hold???????
