Sayeeda Warsi: A powerful Muslim woman in UK cabinet

    Congratulations to Sayeeda Warsi!

For anybody to serve in government is a privilege," said the 39-year-old of Pakistani origin, after Cameron held his first Cabinet meeting in 10 Downing Street, two days after being appointed premier by Queen Elizabeth II.

"But to be born the daughter of an immigrant mill-worker in a mill town in Yorkshire, to have the privilege of serving in Cabinet at such an important time in Britain's history I think is terribly humbling," she told the BBC.

  2. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    (1) What do you expect for;

    (a) yourself, or
    (b) Pakistan, or
    (c) people of Pakistan, or
    (d) Muslims/citizens (in general) of ALL! of Muslim UMMAH

    from this woman ?

    (2) In UK, do you expect this woman to represent our! collective! or one individual group (political or other parties of Pakistan) or some individual interests ?

I'm proud of her Pakistani origin.
Hope she can contribute positively in improving relations between two countries.
I guess Indians already have too much influence in Britain.
    Why are you so upset?

    Posted 2 years ago on 16 May 2010 8:00 #
  4. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    (1) Upset ? Because;

    (a) Our present condition
    (b) The way our people conduct themselves
    (c) Repercussions of our people's decisions
    (d) Repercussions of our people's actions

make me worry about the people in our! collective.

    (2) Being proud is irrelevant, untill we see output from this woman for our! people, our! collective

I have nothing to be proud of, untill I/we see her helping in affairs of Muslims inside and outside UK, with the powers she has been given by the people.

She has nothing to do with our present condition and is conducting herself very nicely.

  6. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    You don't understand;

    (1) I'm not blaming her for our present condition

    (2) I'm expecting from her to do what she can to improve on our current predicament

    Does that make sense ?

Oh I loved that other quote of Baroness Warsi -- about her being middle-class. "Baroness" and "Middle-class"? But I am sure you don't see the ridiculousness of that...

    Some History:
Baroness Warsi pelted with eggs by Muslims
The most senior Muslim politician in Britain was pelted with eggs yesterday and accused of supporting the death of Muslims in Afghanistan. Baroness Warsi, Shadow Minister for community cohesion...

Tory peer Warsi launches bizarre attack on Muslim MPs
Baroness Warsi declares that Muslims who go to parliament “don’t have any morals or principles”.
YES! A TRUE HYPOCRITE right up your alley...so feel proud, you are aptly represented in the British Parliament now ;-)

(But then again maybe not -- On second thought, maybe it was just an admission by her that she does not "have any morals or principles." See next story:)

    Warsi, The 'Husband-Thief'
"...Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, the Shadow Community Cohesion Minister, was accused of ‘stealing’ the husband of a vulnerable Pakistani whose grasp of English is so poor that she did not realise she was being divorced...."

Still fell proud of her? :-P

    (1) Muslims of UK
    (2) Muslims of Pakistan
    (3) Muslims of this entire world

in her capacity, but NOT! before.

@zia: It is quiet shameful that a minority has been made chairperson whose religion is different from the vast majority and an insult to the feelings of the majority. Minorities should be kept at their proper place and should not be allowed to play with feelings of the majority. How is she expected to understand the feelings of the majority when her religion and beliefs are different from majority?

    Shame on secular system.

    From dawn article today:

"Warsi's appointment has come as a national morale booster."

Warsi runs five vocational training centres for orphaned girls in villages near Gujjar Khan through a women's charity.

“We feel proud that she is from us,” said Hina Shaukat, a student in a vocational training centre in Bewal village near Gujjar Khan. Eight girls sat around her, busily sewing.

Laughig my freaking head off. You guys are a hoot! Having an affair (and stealing away) someone's husband sure is "respectable"! Stating "Muslims who go to parliament “don’t have any morals or principles”" and then going to parliament is height of hypocrisy (or admission she has no "morals or principles".

No IFS and BUTTS about it.

I think that campaign against MUSLIMS NORMS i-e Hijab etc will be tried to Back Up by people like Saeeda..
When our own Muslims will lead the WAR AGAINST HIJAB,MASJIDS in UK there will be little effect if other Muslims will Protest..

I think that bringing Saeeda will be much beneficial to the PArties/Politicians thinking to start a movement against muslims norms..
Saeeda will be used AS,TO KILL THE MUSLIMS THROUGH MUSLIMS IN UK..
    Killing here doesnot mean KILLING..
Saeeda was the need of the DAY in UK to Tackle Muslims protesters Against Hijab,Namaz,Masajids,in comming Future.....

    ---------------

She is the daughter of a mill worker and seems to be very humble.Titles are meaningless......
Allama Iqbal given the title of "Sir" by the Queen does not lower his image in my eyes.
Tariq Ali belonging to feudal family is still the best friend of the poor .... there is nothing ridiculous about him.

Being pelted by some fanatics should not lower her image, rather it shows the intolerance of the fundos...

She is a conservative, being a liberal i don't have to agree with all her policies but it should not keep me from praising her achievements.

I'm not familiar with her personal life.It should not be my business to criticize her without knowing her side of the story.

Why you guys/gals always applaud and promote the munafiqeen of muslims. Why is that traitors of muslims and stooges of kuffars are your favorites.

And you still think you guys should be taken seriousley and given respect for insulting the muslims who are true to the cause of islam.

I never heard or seen good words from you guys for the muslims who have given up everything for the sake of islam and for the betterment of the ummah. And dont tell me you havent seen any as you need to take off the dark glasses of animosity towards muslims.

And yes I very well know how the stooges the likes of life peers from muslims in britain are CHOSEN. I have lived in UK long enough to know that and have seen the british political system from very close to understand it.

So far she is doing some good for Pakistan, if she starts working against the interest of Pakistan, i will be the first to criticize her.

But that would require "morals or principles", wouldn't it (which Ms Warsi lacks by her own admission and hence the appreciation by zia m) :)

BTW: Odd argument calling it "a big achievement" -- appears Ms Warsi has gotten to the "high position" like any house **** -- by painting her face white and echoing her master's sentiments about the darkies and her religion and cheating and god knows what else. (She has successfully sold herself as the 'Baboo' and hence the appreciation so no surprise there)

When was the last time you criticized Haqqani? He too is a "muslim" who has "achieved" a high position and is "working for the interest of Pakistan" as proven by his latest offering:
“The problem began with the very existence of Pakistan as the country came into being in the name of Islam and the evil of jihad could not be controlled for this reason.”

I personally don't have an issue with her being in the conservative party and doing well for herself with in the party. You were not happy on the role Imran Khan was playing whilst supporting Zak, so why the difference between the two? They are both members of the Conservative's, so why pick and choose one over they other?

I thought that maybe this is an English celebration of winning the 20/20 cricket world cup. I later found out that the British/ Pakistani boxer Amir Khan just badly beat up a american gora in Madison square garden and the English goras + pakis are celebrating a desi badly beating up an American gora. Naivety is the correct spelling of the word. In your rush to share you Nazi ideology in the guise of Islamic extremist hate you have overlooked the spelling of a little word but carry on with your anti Semitism and throw in the word Jew when you don’t have any arguments. When the blue pill made by pfizer does not work for you than using the word Jew is the next best option to bring up blood circulation.
