SC Bar elections are due but was wondering there is no discussion going over on this forum.
Probably, last year results, Asma Jehangir's victory has dampened the ambitions of some gentlemen too much.
Although this time , Rashid A Rizvi , of Hamid Khan panel is a very senior & favourite candidate.
Lets see what happenes.

١) اگر رضوی صاحب جیتے تو عدلیہ زرداری صاحب کے گرد گھیرا تنگ کرتی ضرورت یا بغیر ضرورت کے
٢) سپریم کورٹ بار کا مقصد سیاست ہے یا حکومت کے خلاف یا عدلیہ کے خلاف
٣) آج کل کے دوسرے اداروں کی طرح اس ادارے کا بھی کوئی مثبت استعمال نہیں ہے
٤) سب کا مقصد ایک دوسرے کی ٹانگ گھسیٹنا اور اپنی طاقت کو بڑھاوا دینا ہے

آپ حکومت کا دفاع کرتے ہوئے بال سپریم کورٹ کے گول کی طرف لے گئے ہیں
آپ جانتے ہیں کہ حکومت شروع دن سے سپریم کورٹ کے احکامات کو جوتے کی نوک پر لکھ رہی ہے اور اسے اس جرات دلانے میں فوج کی مدد بھی حاصل ہے
پہلے حکومت کو براہ راست عدالتی احکامات ٹھکرانے پڑتے تھے. اب حکومت کے پاس سپریم کورٹ بار کی صورت میں ایک دفاعی ٹیم میسر آ گئی ہے جو عدالتی احکامات خود ٹھکرا کر حکومت کی "نیک نامی" پر کوئی حرف نہیں آنے دے گی
اگر رشید رضوی کی ٹیم جیت جاتی تو حکومت کو یہ سہولت میسر نہ آتی

یقین جانیے میں حکومت کی حمایت نہیں کر رہا
لیکن آپ بھی تو لگتا ہے کے صرف حکومت مخالف پہلو سے سوچ رہے ہیں
کیا ایسا ممکن ہے کے ایک بات کے دو پہلو ہوں
مرے سوالوں کا مقصد تو صرف اس بار کی افادیت اور مقصد سے منسلک ہے
نہ کسی کی مخالفت اور نہ کسی کی حمایت
اگر یہ بار بھی سیاسی بن جاتے تو پھر اس کی افادیت کم ہو گی یا بڑھ جاتے گی
ویسے مجھے کسی کی حمایت سے زیادہ آپ کی مخالفت کرنے میں مزہ اتا ہے
کیوں کے آپ خندہ پیشانی سے میری مخالفت کو سنتے ہیں اور برداشت کرتے ہیں
Yeh supreme court Koi Maqadas Ghaay nain ha. Yeh uneen Judges par mushtamel ha, jenoon ne Musharaf ko legitimate kia tha aur pco oath lee thee. abee bee yeh pco oath ke saath kaam kar rahay hein.
Present Chief Justice and other pco judges partial attitude toward Noon league and PPP is shameful. Every person who believe in rule of law should condemn this revenge motivated, leg pulling against government and rewarded attitude toward Noon league should condemn.

مجھے سپریم کورٹ سے کوئی ہمدردی یا زرداری سے کوئی بیر نہیں - مقصد صرف اور صرف آئیں و قانون کی بالادستی کی بات کرنا ہوتا ہے

aiwain .. ber to hay apko :))) ..ain or kanoon kehta hai kay...it should be blind... across the board...why selective...why should ppp be always on the recieving end...thought abt that ... and why shouldn't be checks and balance on the higher judiciary ... the SC bias is becoming blatant and shameless every passing day...and am so happy that lawyers from all over Pakistan can see this ...and have voted for ppl who believe in giving the federal govt. a bit more space...instead of keeping them on tenterhooks

and the law and the constitution of the land allows president the "istasna" ... and also after 11 years of incarceration ...nothing was proven...how long u wanna prosecute him ... till eternity
there is no meat on the bone...be a bit more logical...

Yes, law and constitution allow " istasna" to President when he is in his office. We will not allow him to run away from the country with looted money like Qaddafi.
And law and constitution do not allow to disobey the orders of Supreme Court.

it is likely ...where there is so much smoke...there has to be fire...but you cant punish a person based on gut feelings and perception alone...justice demands proof...even that most biased courts here have not been able to pin AAZ or MBB or MNB...sad for you..but that is the truth

the immunity only applied to him when he became President ...he had been persecuted much before that ... to no avails ... the justices were caught on tape accepting pressure from Shareef bros ...
Immunity has been given to Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Foreign Ministers globally so that they are not dragged through courts while in offices...
if there was an issue with that then perhaps...18th and 19th amendment was a good time to get that immunity waivered ... you did get your wish for 3rd time Prime Ministership... As Imran Khan rightly points our...PML should have gone to the courts and not let Mr. Zardari ascend to this post ...
The cases are also historical information, when MBB and NS signed COD and later many other agreements between AAZ and NS ... NS even apologized for the concocted cases on signing of COD at the behest of Saif-ur Rehman...worst victimization in the history of Pakistan...
the case could not be proven since either those were fabricated ...or the prosecution did not have enough evidence... in both cases the benefit of the doubt goes to defendents ... yet the defendent languished in jails for 11 years ... do you think it was fair and in the spirit of justice
The option now is wait till his term is up ...and persue these cases more vigorously, effectively, for a better result ...

اگر کسی نے احتساب کی سنجیدہ کوشش نہیں کی تو اسکا مطلب یہ ہرگز نہیں کہ لوٹی ہوئی دولت کو تحفظ مل گیا ہے. اگر بینظر اور زرداری نے ملکی دولت نہ لوٹی ہوتی تو وہ پرویز مشرف سے اپنی دولت کے تحفظ کی ضمانت نہ مانگتے. یاد رہے کہ این آر او میں بینظیر نے جنرل پرویز مشرف سے دو بڑی ڈیمانڈ کی تھیں. ایک لوٹی ہوئی دولت کو تحفظ اور دوسرے تیسری بار وزیر اعظم بننا. مشرف نے کہا تھا کہ دونوں میں سے ایک ڈیمانڈ پوری کر سکتا ہوں تو بینظر نےتیسری بار وزیر اعظم بننے کو چھوڑ کر لوٹی ہوئی دولت کو تحفظ فراہم کرنے کی یقین دہانی کو فوقیت دی تھی اور انکا یہ مطالبہ مانتے ہوئے جنرل پرویز مشرف نے تمام لٹیروں کی دولت کو این آر او میں تحفظ دیا تھا
عوام کے خون پسینے کی کمائی لوٹ کر نہ بینظیر قبر میں لے گئی ہے اور نہ ہی زرداری ساتھ لے جا سکے گا. یہ دنیا کا مال دنیا میں ہی رہ جائے گا لیکن اپنے کالے کرتوتوں کا عوام کے علاوہ خدا کو بھی جواب دینا ہوگا. خدا کی عدالت میں نہ تو کوئی استثنیٰ ہوگا اور نہ ہی کسی جنرل پرویز مشرف یا جنرل کیانی کی سفارش یا ٹیلی فون کال کام آئے گی اور نہ ہی این آر او سے کام چلے گا
مظلوموں اور غریبوں کی آہیں عرش ہلا دیتی ہیں. پھر کسی کی کرسی بھی مضبوط نہیں رہتی ہے
زرداری اور اسکے ٹولے کو اپنے کرتوت درست کرنے چاہئیے اور لوٹی ہوئی دولت قوم کو لوٹانی چاہئیے ورنہ خدا کی لاٹھی تو بے آواز ہوتی ہی ہے لیکن جو حال عوام نے کرنل قذافی کا کیا ہے اسے بھی مد نظر رکھنا چاہئیے

Hamid Khan Group again lost to Babar Awan group, second year running.They lost even in Lahore,considered to be Hamid Khans strong hold. Awan is very clever.
