So you have joined the tolla of "Yellow Jounalists".
Whoever trusts this "Cuban Cigar Smoking Big Mouth" has bird brains.
khuda ka kahuf karo yar nadeem is a free journalists.I am not taking Shaikh Rasheed words.....
Shahbaz Sharif and his sons are the biggest thug and murderers of Punjab. Sharif family looted $1.2 billion from the taxpayers of Punjab and stashed it in bank accounts in UK and Saudi Arabia.
They signed the 18th amendment which lead to massive load shedding in Punjab. Punjab has the lowest number of default on electricity bill payment but highest amount of loadshedding thanks to 18th amendment signed by PMLN. Business in Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Wazirabad etc are suffering immensely because of this unfair loadshedding Punjab. It has given rise to massive unemployment and disillusionment especially amongst youth.
Now, this botched laptop scheme has further alienated the youth from PMLN and it's incompetent government because majority of the youth doesn't have access to quality education but CM is busy handing out laptops to the youth of elite class who can afford laptops on their own.

Can you tell me the point in recording where this is being referred with backup material?
Mr. Sipahi,
Can you apologize to the everyone on this forum for lying that drug and regulation is a responsibility of federal cabinet division but in fact it rests with provincial governments after the 18th amendment.
sipahi,
darty darty and in low profile nadeem has mentioned it just in start 10 mints of programme.
@SufiSoul
You are talking about reference to three factories in Lahore, originally included in the investigation. It goes to credit for the Punjab government that they started investigation.
At this time, issue with Karachi factory has been proven.
While the three factories in Lahore, they are under investigation. There is no link of possible sub-standard drugs from these factories with the deaths in Punjab.
I will suggest, do not rush to judgement.
Also, I do not have knowledge of connection with these factories under investigation and Sharif family. If you have reliable info, please share.
@QN
As usual, you continue to do khiyanat and report incomplete news and wrong conclusions.
You failed to report following, quoting Raza R.:
"Speaking on a point of order, he said it was agreed during consultations on the 18th Amendment that an independent drug regulatory authority comprising representatives of all four provinces would be set up at the federal level to regulate drug manufacturing across the country. However, he added, during the last phase of the devolution process, the federal government declined to hand over Sheikh Zayed Hospital to the Punjab government and subsequently Punjab also did not cooperate on the issue. He told the House further it was agreed that until such time that a final agreement was reached between the provinces, the current system would continue under which the Cabinet Division was responsible for dealing with such matters."
The PMO is that Cabinet Division is responsible for import, licensing, manufacturing and regulation of drugs.
No Mr. Sipahi, as usual you are twisting the story to suit your agenda. Read the report again and than read my post.
Some thing for the fan club, i hope they this help them educating ( i know it is useless, they do not believe anyone but IK, and IK have no clue on the issue so the fan club is totally lost)
The labs operated by Central government had already cleared the same drug from Efroz Pharma and gave the drug a complete clean report..

Sri Lanka bans import of Pakistani medicines
By Sehrish Wasif / Zahid Gishkori
Published: February 2, 2012
Export of locally-manufactured medicines had surged to over $400 million over the last two years.
ISLAMABAD:
Following the PIC medicine debacle, Sri Lanka has banned the import of medicines from Pakistan — a move that would badly hurt the export of locally-manufactured medicines, which had surged to over $400 million over the last two years.
The health ministry of Sri Lanka has taken the decision after over 100 people died due to alleged spurious medicines in Lahore. It was further revealed that more countries – including Vietnam, Burma, Philippines, and Yemen as well as countries from Africa and South America – are also considering reviewing their policies to import medicines from Pakistan.
Sri Lanka suspended the sale and use of Pakistani-manufactured Isosorbide Mononitrate 20 mg drug, used for chest pains, said a senior doctor of the National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka.
“Isosorbide mononitrate, generally called ISMN, is a drug used principally in the treatment of angina pectoris in Sri Lanka,” he told The Express Tribune from Colombo. Government hospitals in Sri Lanka usually prescribe ISMN, which dilates blood vessels to reduce blood pressure, he explained.
“Our ministry took the decision for safety reasons following reports of the recent deaths from a heart-related drug in Pakistan,” he said, requesting not to be named.
Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) officials also expressed concern over the lingering of the spurious drugs issue, which could stagnate exports if the federal government does not take immediate steps to control the situation.
On the other hand, officials dealing with the issue revealed that the government was deliberating putting around 12 drugs on the import ban list. However, the final decision will be taken after taking into account the investigation reports received from abroad, added an official of the Punjab Health Ministry.
“The government should form a drug regulatory authority in pursuance of better and effective marketing strategies to improve the image and push the export figures up,” the PPMA chairman said.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s senior advisor Senator Pervez Rashid criticised the federal government for its failure to constitute a drug regulatory authority at the centre. “An international laboratory should be built in Pakistan to test medicines,” Rashid said.
Islamabad is issuing 32 licences to pharmaceutical companies on a daily basis, the senator revealed. “So, this is the main reason which led to the use and distribution of substandard medicines.”

@khanemar
U need to eductate yourself with this, listen to ground realities not yellow journalism.
@respect,
I know you are blinded with your political hatred but let me try this way
Who approves drugs and medicines in Pakistan ( is it provincial matter or federal matter)? I can only hope you know the right answer to this and have enough moral courage to say it here as well.
2ndly, the recent investigations shows, that the pharma company manufacturing this drug have its unit in Karachi? does Karachi comes under Punjab CM???
3rd thing to ask is that, that the medicine is in open market as well ( it should be) and is supplied all over Pakistan and abroad (like Srilanka etc) have we seen any kind of same reaction in other places? if yes, please let me know if not, please tell me then why only these poor people got their hand on this poisonous medicince???
now i donot know if you have any moral courage to reply honestly on the queries raised above...but yes what you can continue to do is to bash your political opponent without thinking about it..
Qatil e Ala Shebaz Sharif's son Hamza Shebaz is responsible for the death of 122 people in Punjab becoz he is infact a defacto deputy CM of Punjab, his orders are considered as order from takht e Lahore
Based on this report in Dawn, Federal Drug Control Administration also tested the drugs collected during raid on Wednesday from Efroze Manufacturing site to also contain same anti-Malaria drug in IsoTabs.
http://www.dawn.com/2012/02/03/lahore-killer-drug-cdl-tests-also-find-isotab-adulterated.html
"Functioning under the cabinet division since the devolution of the health sector, the laboratory also found the tablets which a team from the Drug Control Administration had collected on Wednesday from the factory manufacturing the medicine in Karachi, diluted, adulterated and substandard, containing the anti-malarial agent, Pyrimethamine."
