In the 18th Amendment, the super criminals of our society have included provision for criminals to hold public offices after five years of conviction.

Are we really of people who are not criminals that we need to allow this lot to hold public office?

  2. Convicted criminals all over the world are kept behind bars preventing them inflicting further damage to our societies. Some are even kept for life without parole.

No a convict should not/never have any access to public office.

  3. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

Nope. Mostly convicted criminals are to be kept away from holding public offices.

They'd have to go through d*mn good screening of standards proposed by Islam, before I'd ever even think of allowing them to come close to it.

Most convicts, criminals won't survive that screening. Why ? Because criminals/convicts rarely want to adhere to those standards.

    Not at all !!!
Similarly all corrupt Generals especially the ones who have confessed their crimes like Aslam Baig, Asad Durrani and Hamid Gul should be put behind bars !
Moreover, all PCO judges including current 'holier than thou' CJ IMC should be sent home !!!!

  5. Who will send CJ IMC home?
Who will initiate trials of Aslam Baig, Asad Durrani Hamid Gul, Zardari and his placed favorites like Rehman Malik and others, NS and group, the Choudries?

Isn't it too late for all this because corruption is wide spread in our law and order institutions, lawyers, Judges, army, Industrialists all acting on behalf of criminals who happen to be in power as political leaders.

A known (even convicted) corrupt is awarded a ticket to contest elections. Using corruption to influence our electoral system they come to power and then embark upon a spree of loot and plunder, recovering many folds against what they had invested for their elections. Why should they care for anything else when in office?

How this evil could be stopped when a corrupt is awarded a ticket to contest elections?

If we (awam) are able to devise and implement such a control then rest assured we would certainly be on a winning path towards ending corruption at least among our political ranks.
