Status Of Anti-America Pakistan?

(20 posts)
  1. Pakistan has completed almost 6 decades of Anglo-American Friendship.
Pakistan's Civil and Military Establishment, most of the Infra-structure, Judicial and Administrative set up, economy and social behavior has been nourished by the above-mentioned Western Powers.
Even Father of the Nation, asked for monetary help from the American Government in 1947.
Now we see and observe the flow of Anti-American expressions from a section of the society, including those who cultivated and promoted the roots of America in Pakistan.
Well. there is a time for change.
Nothing wrong with the slogan of Go! America Go!
Let's discuss what mode of action will be adopted after kicking America out of Pakistan?
Would we keep Pakistan 100% non Aligned or Pakistan would join any other camp or go under the canopy of a different Super Power?
How Pakistan would be able to face and solve the social, economic and defensive requirements?
What has been planned to utilize the power potentials of Pakistan for progress and prosperity?
What are the protections and precautions that Anti-America Pakistan would not be exploited by any other Anti-American State in the region?

Relations with the American people dont need to be bad.... Americans are not the problem at all. American foreign policy is the problem.

We can learn a lot from them because they used many Islamic morals to shape their society such as end to racism and one nation not based on ethnicity.

Pakistan needs to have good relations with Americans even diplomatically, but not by selling its sovereignty.

Tragically, US policy in the Muslim world continues to be too often driven by arrogance, ignorance, and special interest groups.

The current Kerry-Lugar-Berman bill, advanced with President Barack Obama’s blessing, is ham-handed dollar diplomacy at its worst. Pakistan, bankrupted by corruption, feudal landlords, and the previous Musharraf military regime, is being offered US $7.5 billion over five years – but with outrageous strings attached.

Washington denies any strings are involved. But few in South Asia believe the cash-strapped US is handing over $7.5 billion for the sake of altruism.

The US wants to build a mammoth new embassy for 1,000 personnel in Islamabad, the second largest after its Baghdad fortress-embassy. So US mercenaries (aka `contractors’) are being brought in to protect US interests and personnel. New US bases may also be in the cards. Most of this new aid will go right into the pockets of the pro-western ruling establishment, about 1% of the population.

It’s all part of Washington’s Afpak’ strategy to clamp tighter control over restive Pakistan and make use of its armed forces and spies in Afghanistan. Seizing control of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal, the key to its national defense against a much more powerful India, is the other key US objective. Many Pakistanis believe the US is bent on tearing apart Pakistan in order to seize its nuclear arsenal.

Even the opening sentence is flawed, can't proceed further.

Why Ayub Khan said "Friends not Masters"?

  5. 1965 war was fought with the help of American arms and Ammunition.
Read the history and evolution of Pakistan Navy, Army and Air Force.
What was SEATO, RCD and other International Pacts, Pakistan supported?
Where from the Finances were managed for the layout of Islamabad, the most modern Capital in the World?
Don't miss to read about the sources of finance to meet the budgets of Pakistan since 1948.
There is no need to repeat the services of Zia ul Haq for the 'Masters' and the sincerity of Musharraf to the 'Friends'.

I strongly object to the use of word "friendship" when the context is Pak-US relationship.

  8. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

I haven't read the history completely yet, but so far, as much as I'v read, I don't find US to have EVER been OUR friend.

It has ALWAYS been a friend to India, who's been a friend to Russia in reality. US has always dismissed and down-played Pakistan.

There are too many incidents in recent as well as far away history, to learn this fact.

I don't consider US Pakistan's friend. A business partner may be but not a friend.

    @javedsheikh,

Answers to your questions and my point of view:

"Would we keep Pakistan 100% non Aligned or Pakistan would join any other camp or go under the canopy of a different Super Power?" In these times, countries can not be totally non-aligned. But aligning with America is more of a slavery than equal status friendship. Although in the friendship of a superpower and poor country this equal status can not be expected! In my opinion, we should not go under any canopy!!

"How Pakistan would be able to face and solve the social, economic and defensive requirements?" Plenty of resources are available to Pakistan, need to be explored and put to the benefits of human use. A few years would be difficult but, people would be happy to pass such era as Japanese did after world war-II.

"What has been planned to utilize the power potentials of Pakistan for progress and prosperity?" Whom you expect to plan, goverment under Zardari, thick minded NS, religious parties? Obviously the answer to this question is" nothing has been planned." But as you put it rightly - power potential is there, we need to work on it!

"What are the protections and precautions that Anti-America Pakistan would not be exploited by any other Anti-American State in the region?" The ability is there, dont doubt it! If you are Pakistani then dont doubt your strengths, if we are honest, we can defend ourselves. We have neuclear deterrent, we have strong army, we have good efficient intelligent services, we have a big pool of scientists and engineers, we are among arms exporting nations. So we can defend ourselves.

  10. @ shriq,
Your are the first to post a positive and constructive push to the thread.
Actually the same was told by the Qauid-i-Azam to the reporter of the Associated Press of America in 1948 where he was asked about the possibilities about the survival of Pakistan, economically.
I wish our leaders and the Pakistani nation would have behaved like Japan, Korea, Malaysia to justify what you have said.
The ground reality covering the 62 years of performance is, unfortunately very discouraging where the very motives and objectives of Pakistan are still under discussion.
Almost all of the 'Experiments' failed and Pakistan, a Nuclear power is facing a critical shortage of Food and Energy.
Do you think that the Government and the people of Pakistan would ever get a free hand to follow the footsteps of Japan, Korea, China and other progressing States?
This could generate another debate to divide where the society is already polarized to a level of enmity.
And the final concern is related to the reaction of American Establishment.
Would they let Pakistan to get out of their Canopy?

    @javedsheikh,

"Do you think that the Government and the people of Pakistan would ever get a free hand to follow the footsteps of Japan, Korea, China and other progressing States?"

Ah! I wish I could answer this question positively!! As you know, governments in our part of the world always act against the aspirations and interests of the people! So two are at opposite poles as far as making an alliance to get rid of the slavery of US is concerned! But if government can create its trust amongst people and it really wants to come out of the canopy of super power, people and government would be a winning combination! Nation has the potential, government needs to utilise it! Otherwise things are moving in bloody revolution as people (sick of their chronic bad conditions) would react very badly! I pray that the revolution is led by some honest people!

"Would they let Pakistan to get out of their Canopy?"

Definitely not! Pakistan is at such a geographic location that US as it has entered would not like to leave easily!

  17. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    - US didn't send the war ship they promissed in 1971, when Pakistanis' were counting on them to save disintegration of Pakistan into East and West Pakistan. They promised Pakistan one thing and then took side with India

    - Bush threatened Musharraf, to return Pakistan to stone age if Musharraf didn't cooperate with them after 9/11

    - US has acquired military as well as air bases within Pakistan, from where they operate drone attacks on our own people

Imagine US is attacking our people with drones that are parked on and operate from our own soil

    - There is news, US is preparing to attack Iran. In order to do so, it will use the military as well as air bases it has inside Pakistan

Can you even visualize the fallout of such a catastrophe ?

    - US has vigorously invested as well as helped Indians in their nuclear technology, where-as they have suppressed Pakistan on its nuclear capability, whenever they had the chance

    - US has given massive military hardware to India, which it has intentionally stopped shipping to Pakistan on multiple occasions

One such example is the case of F-16s. We bought them, paid for it. But US didn't give us the planes. On TOP!! of that, US kept charging us $200 million / month as parking fee for them. Can you imagine the bully US tried to be in-front of us?

    - US has given massive economic assistance to India. I believe, US's investment in India has passed $32 billion. Why ? Because US wants India to work as its paid bully in this region, to safe-guard its strategic interests

    - US has ALWAYS interfered in Pakistani politics, right from the beginning. They have ALWAYS helped criminals rule over Muslims. This hasn't just been the case with Pakistan, it has been and STILL is the case with ALL the other Muslim states as well

The criminals US invests in, in turn implement US made policies on us. Naturally those policies fail. The result ? Our economy fails miserably. Our lives become worse, no matter how hard we work, prices of everyday utilities go up, which means MORE inflation. Why ? Because the big decisions being made in the government offices carries MORE weight than hundreds of thousands of decisions made by ordinary people, organizations etc etc.

    - Now US has trapped Pak Army in war on terror, it is making us fight our own people. Result ? Pak Army is becomming weak. The moral of Jihad is gradually being removed from Pak Army's ranks. Pak Army is getting maligned for it.

    - US is also trying to trap Pakistan's nuclear, strategic/military, economic assets through Kerry Lugar Aid Bill

    - I believe, since there are NO extradition treaties between US and Pakistan, US takes FULL! advantage of the situation. It exploits this fact, to capture, transport people out of the country to off-nation detention facilities, torture our people as they like inside and outside our country

    - To top it all off, US is STILL not happy with the ammount of destruction we'v brought upon ourselves. They want us to commit suicide!

If we look at the past 110+ years of history of Muslims, I see a lot of bad things US has done against Muslims, not just Muslims of sub-continent.

Does anyone remember, that it was US which disintegrated the Ottoman Empire in March of 1924 ?

Ottoman Empire was a super power of its time. When it was disintegrated, we/Muslims LOST!! our power, our position in the world, our say in world affairs.

  18. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

@javedsheikh: One way or the other, US economy is going to collapse.

Watch Gerald Celente on http://trendsresearch.com. Gerald says, conditions in US will become worse in comming days because there'll be a mass scale tax riot. It will become ugly and violent within US.

Once that happens, the global business market will take a serious hit. Which will MOTIVATE Pakistan to establish its local economy. It will encourage Pakistan to look for other countries to export to, other countries to do business with.

It will FORCE Pakistan to implement JUSTICE SYSTEM within Pakistan, because people won't be able to survive long without it. Once the justice system becomes effective, ALL the criminals go down the drain, which will make Pakistan's credibility go up in international market, because the corruption as well as crime ratings will come down. Pakistan's economy will become attractive for local as well as foreign investment. Pakistanis' from ALL over the world will flock inside Pakistan, with their business ideas, proposals, money, which means MORE job oppertunities for Pakistanis'. Products will not only be invented, produced within the country, we will see REAL business boom!, we will INSHALLAH see meaningful work being done within Pakistan.

It will also help Pakistan in catching as well as punishing criminals, who US has been investing in, to do their bidding. <- Imagine if these people are cleaned up, Pakistan will actually get a chance to SEE sincere! credible, loyal leadership, that which makes Pakistan GROW!

Once US economy fails, it will seriously limit US's ability to interfere in Pakistani politics. It will seriously limit their capability to spend money in Pakistan, as well as in other Muslim nation states.

    Haris,

    Walaikum Salaam

Most that support American economy are living the good life in the West and have a lot of dunya. They think good for America is good for them. They want to protect their position so they don’t want to rock the boat as the society is working well for them. Most have never been to a ghetto or working-class masjid and neigborhood and don’t have a clue as to how the other half feels. Many others, look down upon Muslim world and less affluent Muslims without fancy degrees, and see themselves as the elite class of the Muslim community. Any masculine form of Islam is seen as something for the poor and ignorant masses. They will be in for a rude shock as they have buried their heads in the sand like an Ostrich.
