U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates told Saudi leaders Wednesday that the U.S. effort for diplomatic engagement with Iran had come to naught and he asked for the influential kingdom's help to win wide backing for biting economic penalties against Tehran. ................

This is nothing. Saudis have always been allies to US and its interest. Here is an undertaking by King Saud, founder of Saudi Arabia and father of King Faisal;
http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/6307/fotozg9.jpgHe says “I’m the Sultan Abdul Aziz Bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud al-Faisal acknowledged and admitted to Sir Percy Cox delegate of Great Britain, I have no objection to give Palestine to the Jews...”

Malik related to me from Abdullah ibn Dinar Radi Allahu anhu that Abdullah ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhu said, “ I saw the Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam pointing at the EAST (Najd) and saying, ‘The cause of dissension is here. The cause of dissension is here, from where the helpers of shaytan arise.’ “
IMAM MALIK’S Radi Allahu anhu MUWATTA(Book #54, Hadith #54.11.29)
and
Narrated Ibn ‘Umar: The Prophet (s)said, “O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen.” The People said, “And also on our NAJD.” He said, “O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham (north)! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen.” The people said, “O Allah’s Apostle! And also on our NAJD.” I think the third time the Prophet (s) said, “There (in NAJD) is the place of earthquakes and afflictions and from there comes out the side of the head of Satan.”

An attempt to divide non Arab Muslims and Arab Muslims became more visible during the times of murdered Egyptian president Anwar Al Sa'adat although this existed even before that.
Not a new idea at all!Posted 2 years ago on 11 Mar 2010 3:38 # -
Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
This game of nonsense should come to an end now.
Muslims should pay for their crimes, their injustice, as well as the rest of the world.
I say bring on the big wars. Its high time they started.
There is no other way of moving forward.

@yahya .. just a question that whether did you see the word "Najad" yourself in the Arabic script of the Ahadiths you quoted above?
If the word Najad is not there then just open the map and see which areas including countries come to the east side of Madinah as Prophet (PBUH) was perhaps in Madinah or maximum in Makkah when he would have said that.
Secondly what is the authenticity of the declaration you quoted for the Saudi King?

@ Haris
Big wars?? Do you really beleive that the world needs armageddon to change??
I consider all those people in this world that are hungering for "the glorious final conflict" to be shooting themselves in the foot.
You see, there are people spoiling for a big fight all over the world in all nations, cultures, religions and ethnicities. These are the people that believe that peace can only be achieved through war.
But the calm after war is not peace... it is simply the absence of war because all sides don't have the strength to continue the war.
people don't acquire a peaceful mindset, no perceptional changes take place and no lasting peace occurs. It is only a calm until everybody regains their strength, dig up old hatreds and prejudices and proceed to kick the crap out of each other yet again.
True peace will never come after a war. True peace will only come with consensus. It will not occur simply because some people are unable to fight. It will come when everybody agrees to not fight.
There are people like you who have divided the world into "us" and "them". You believe that the differences are irreconcilable and never the twain shall meet. You have no faith in the inherent desire for peace and inherent goodness of "them".
And then there are people like myself who have complete faith in mankind's ability to reach peace through consensus. there is no doubt in my mind that while it may take years, decades or even centuries, mankind will see reason and realize that war has no winners but only a whooooole lot of losers.
While i despair at the hatred, corruption, anger, aggressio, exploitation and cruelty of some of my fellow human beings, my faith in humanity remains. For me a single kind act validates the goodness of mankind even in the face of a thousand acts of cruelty.
I believe that there are other people on this site, in this country and on this planet who feel the same as me to some extent. peace will come when those of us with this mindset come together a refuse to give in to the hatred and aggression of those who see no way out other than a "final battle"
History has seen countless "final battles" but none have yet achieved a lasting peace. Peace will only occur when the final battle DOESN'T.

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
Lasting peace comes through;
(1) reign of justice
(2) through rule of lawIt doesn't come through un-ending reign of injustice, deceit, lies and more lies.
Among Muslims, Islam is the law. ALLAH ALMIGHTY, Muhammad (SAW), Companions of Muhammad (SAW) set the standards.
What we don't have is reign of justice, adherence to rule of law, in letter and spirit.

@ Haris
Look justice and rule of law will be a result of peace.. not the other way around. And that's not what i was discussing either.
Where you believe that justice and rule of law will come about after a massive war where "all enemies will be defeated", i believe that justice and rule of law will come about when all people realize that humans are all part of one species and one nation, and that the only way there will be peace is if we make the decision to NOT FIGHT.
Consensus will come through an acceptance of diversity and divergent opinion. The only thing everybody needs to agree on is that everybody has the right to disagree without fearing for themselves.

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
You'r twisting my words, the meaning of my words to serve your agenda.
I detest this.

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
You think rule of law/justice is a result of peace ?
That's absurd!. Where do you see this happening in any part of the world, today ?

Hazrat Maulana Muhaddis Yahya,,
Pls dont try ur own meaning and explainations of the AHADEES Mubaraka here..This is very NAZOK FUN..,
You ignore all together the SHANE NAZOOL OF THE AHADEES AND MANY OTHER THINGS RELATED TO THESE AHADEES...At this time when majority of the people are Muslims in Arab Land...You feel happy explaining AHadees according to ur wishes about people living in NAJAD...
What type of ZALIM u r calling muslims of a particular land of Area as SATAN's or thing like that...
Using AHADEES according to own wishes is another KABEERA u did..And you should know abt the punishment for such a person presenting AHADEES at own point of View....

@zingaro:
In second hadith the context is too clear and doesn't need a map. People asked holy prophet to pray for Najad but he refused.
As for King Saud's undertaking I have provided the image of his writing, I also saw the exact same thing in a documentary on US/Saudi relations a few years back.
Is it any surprise Saudis don’t invest in any serious way in science and technology in Muslim countries rather mostly trying to spread their extreme wahabi idealogy which only creates discord? Actions speak louder than words.

@SufiSoul:
"What type of ZALIM u r calling muslims of a particular land of Area as SATAN's or thing like that..."
These are words of hadith, not mine. I don't think it means all Muslims, rather that in a particular time there would be fitnas from there.
"Using AHADEES according to own wishes is another KABEERA u did"
Accusing someone falsely is also Kabeearea. No?
Please educate us. Don't smoke screen it.

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
What I meant from big wars is, Muslims need redemption.
(1) Muslims have committed crimes
(2) they have spread injustice among their ranks for decades
(3) they have not paid their due against those crimes for decades
(4) Everyone within our (Muslim) nations, has had to bear injustice as a result
(5) This has been going on (for decades) far too long, for this to continue indefinitelyInjustice should end!.
When injustice is spread across the board, then there are only two things that can end it;
(1) Either everyone accepts rule of law, pays their due for the crimes they committed
(2) Or wrath of ALLAH ALMIGHTY, which usually comes on a nation in the form of large scale event, like a big war, etc etc
One way or another, injustice should end. People must redeem themselves against their crimes.

@ Haris
I am not twisting any of your words. Indeed i don't need to because you manage that quite admirably yourself. Take a chill pill and quit "detesting" something that isn't even happening.
Justice and rule of law are not possible in places where there is no peace. This is not an assumption. it is a simple fact. In any place and at any time in human history whenever there is conflict, the FIRST thing to go is justice and the rule of law. These two things simply cannot exist where there is no peace.
But when there is peace, justice and the rule of law get established. WHy is that? It is because people aren't fighting and robbing each other of their rights.
You got the whole equation upside down. Justice an the rule of law is a result of peace. Not the other way around.
You ask me to quote examples. I would ask you to do the same. Which countries do you know of where justice and rule of law were established in a time of conflict after which peace resulted???
