Talat knocked out by Nawaz .....

(16 posts)
  1. for the first time i have seen Talat being defeated by a politician ....
and with whom with Nawaz ..who is one of the dumbest .
    but it shows
that if u r right ...nobody can ticked u off.
if u r on a wrong side of the fence..u have to be defeated at the end ..no matter if u r Talat Hussain .

Nawaz was so confidently answering questions of Talat .
and Talat was keep changing his stands like his party PPP.

none of the Talat question was neutral.
    all subjective questions .
    like u r a punjabi party...
u never took stand on other issues..
why u are not giving more time to the Govt ...
why u were quite for a year....
why arent u rescheduling ur long march....
iftikhar chdhri is ur enemy too...
Zardari never answered u back in the same lingu then why are u being humiliating to him....ETC.

it shows Talat went there with the agenda to blow Nawaz up.on PPP behalf ...as PPP itself wont be able to do it .
but it turns out the other way around.
Talat being blown up by Nawaz .
thats the difference between being right side or being on wrong side.

Talat definitely had put at stake his own popularity .
Talat is putting his money on the weakest horse .....
    i feel sorry for him.

  2. Oh my god

This is not why he did that.

It is a journalists job to stay neutral and put forward both sides of an argument. Talat just wanted to put the other sides argument/questions to Nawaz, as a good journalist should.

Its like how on BBC Hard Talk, the host asks tough questions to all guests and challenges them by putting forward arguments of the opposing side.

Its how Iftikhar Chaudhry SOMETIMES asks tough questions.

    Beena please.

  3. I dont think there was anything wrong with talats interview. They could be unbiased and emotional during musharraf era because everything about musharraf regime was unconstitutional . Given that the current government is acting like a dictatorship it is still a democratically elected government and its not the medias role to take sides they should be equal for all and the audience is smart enough to distinguish between right and wrong. media should always be neutral for all democratic governments.

Nawaz Sharif won the match.. I am surprised that how NS tackled this man.. Well done. My perception abt NS speaking power / communication skill in interviews has been totally changed now.. Thanks to Talat Hussain. Before this interview, I suppose that NS is a champoo .. But during this interview he played very well all shots hit by TH. He was cool and composed and very smartly replied in fluent way during the entire conversation. Talat did wrong with not NS but himself. I always regard Talat Hussain being a professional person, but I don’t know why he could not play a neutral journalist role. He was asking all questions which were supporting ppp govt policies and philosophy, even he was indirectly highlighting Punjab Sindh conflict element. Which is very bad and our political scenario can not afford this argues. Media should avoid these argues and harmful logics and should not to be a part of this issue (in spreading all over the Pakistan). I am surprised that why did not Talat ask any neutral question during this interview. It seems that his objective was only to highlight negative elements and wrongdoings of PML-N.. This could be right but he must ask all questions on neutral grounds not from the ppp front. Look his face expression during the interview.. How harshly and annoyingly he was staring Mr NS? Looking like personal enemy. Anyways now I accept NS ability of communication.. Thanks to Talat Hussain

  5. I also agree with secular and codefreaq. What he should ask from NS? if he will ask the questions which supports him then what is the purpose of this interview. So it was better to clarify those issues or allegations which his opponents are associating with him.
So in my opinion the questions were not popular but were good and according to the merits of free and fair journalism.

    @Beenai

Just a month ago Talat was one of your favorite anchor person .Likes and dislikes are being change in hours then why we blame politician who always changes their minds

  7. @netengr,
thats what we never realize as a nation.
if we like some one ..w.e like him to the degree to forget every sin of him/her .
that shud not be the case .
thats shud be like that .
if ur most favorite person is doing something wrong u have to admit and point it out too.
like i did with Talat hussain .
he is the best anchor around.
    i still say it .
but that doesnt mean that he cant be wrong.
when he is wrong he is wrong...

    in yesterday show ...
    he was too bias.
    not a single neutral question...
as comapre to kamran Khan on the other channel at the same time ...he never sided Nawaz but asked all basic and very neutral questions.

Talat questions were less of questions more of accusing.

this is the main problem of our public. Our likings and dis-linkings are always for the personalities not for the stands they take on different issues.

If your liking is for the personality, then definitely you could object that why you are against him/her but if your liking is for the issues he address then your liking will turned in a second when he will turn from the issues and this is a positive thing.

The example of PPP is in front of you. Their liking for zardari is based on their self interest not for the issues so no matter he is going in line or against the party defined lines, against the wordings of benazir, people are following him because their liking is just based on their interest which is vested with the zardari at this moment and this is pathetic.

  10. @letsdoit,
    i totally agree .
thats what i was trying to tell netengr that if Talat is good and he is ...but it doesnt mean he cant be wrong.
    same goes with parties .
Nawaz is a lesser evil but evil too.

  11. Knowing media a little bit, I strongly belive that this interview was a set up..

Nawaz Shareef sab was forewarned about the questions in the interview thats why he was able to answer these questions so boldly and you see Talat looked like bujha howa...not the usuall face on his face...

I strongly belive this was a set up interview with solid questions and solid answers...

  12. @Mulla,
    your guess maybe right .
as all the big shorts have planned interview.
i have seen the most bold Kashif Abbsi looking totally helpless sitting in front of Asif Zardari ....

but in this case.....Talat is not looking Bujha Hua ...
he is looking really really angry.

yep, he must be angry cause he couldnt knock out Nawaz Shareef...

but trust me, I create scripts for people to answer on the tv, this is a big industry..all American presidents also have answers to all questions while during anchor led interviews, yet they crap out later on..

by the way how are you doing ? you ok ?

journalists have belong to the Political parties .Like Ansar Abbasi is a Jamaati and working for a "Islami Inqilab " .Irshad Ahmed Haqqani ,Abdul qader Hasan , serwat Jamal Asmi and others are ex Jamati .Shahid Masoud started his politic with PPP .
It is dificult to know every one hidden agenda ,Talat and Nusrat Jawed were against Mushraf ,after Musharraf we have find our that they were pro PPP actually
