That's How Democracy Should Work

  1. Well done, Mr. Yousaf Raza Gilani.
The flexibility is beauty of Democratic Process.

You have really shown wisdom to educate the people of Pakistan about tolerance and moderation in Democracy.

I wish PPP Government maintains this pace to eradicate the obsession of deeply rooted syndrome of Dictatorship.

  2. If it happens single time, it is called flexibility and it should be appretiated but if this has to happen in every case then it is just stupidity.

  3. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

They did it to save their government. They knew Lawyers, JI, PTI, called for a peaceful 'tehreek' (movement) against those who didn't adhere to law of the land.

If they were good people, they wouldn't have resorted to all this drama.

Having said that, it is good to see, those who rule over us are slowly but surely moving towards rule of law.

yes, indeed an act of 'wisdom' to disturb the whole country and then retreat with a defeat-

  5. That is a normal democratic practice what only democratic politicians can understand.
That was how, in our neighbor country India, Pundit Jawahar Lal Nehru educated the people with such exercises managed to stay in power for 15 years and consolidated the roots of a strong Democracy.
Such exercises and net-practices are important to expose the unfit players for the Test Match.

Just examine that within 5 days, how many black sheep and sacred cows have been exposed?
I hate Zardari but at this episode he played like a mature politician.

  6. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

I don't know about you Javed sb., but I as a common man of Pakistan have far far higher standards than Mr. Zardari.

I don't think this was maturity. I think this was a necessary compromise on part of Mr. Zardari for him to remain in power for longer period.

normal democratic practice is to issue illegal notification and then disturb the whole country to divert attention from corruption, but then retreat with a disgrace-

specialty of zardari and his supporters-

  8. A seasoned democratic politician has to pass through three tests.

    1. He should be able to create or expose a crises.

    2. The crises and problem should be floated for debate, dialogue and discussion.

    3. He should be smart enough to produce and achieve a final solution.

a seasoned democratic politician has to learn to save his looted money by creating more troubles and hurdles for people of the country-

create new crisis to save his swiss accounts, a temp solution but works for a while :)

  10. Yes.
This could be an extra qualification for a politician who has to play at the turning pitch of Pakistan.

and another qualification of zardari type politicians is to eat 100 jutay aur 100 piyaz 100 dafa-

an accidental leader who inherited a political dynasty by chance or by fraud-

  12. @letsdoit,
good comment ,i agree with you ...

    @Sheikh sahib,
Govt has been presenting the lame excuse of all of its blunders ,so far ,that there was a long era of dictatorship of Mush ,it will take time for us to get back into democratic process ...

    but its a foul logic.
PPP is the only party ,which has been in power for 4 times now ...how much more experience it requires to understand the same constitution ,their founder ZA Bhutto was the founder of ....

thats a different story that PPP has made an arm length distance between rational PPP members like Aitzaz Ahsan ,Raza Rabbani ,Amin Fahim ETC ...

to avoid any wise advises .

  14. This shows their inability to tackle the issues wisely...a day before the meeting between PM and CJ...Gillani,like a roaring lion, uttered some words against judiciary in national assembly which he should not have, then he so cowardly without any invitation, attented that reception at SC buidling, having fear of the steps could be taken against him in courts by SC on his controversial remarks plus seeing no options left but to surrender!Thats how incapable ppl run democracy!
