There has been an audacious attack on the supply area where the large transport trucks assembled near Sang Jani near Islamabad. It is being reported that m,ore than 25 large 18 wheelers were attacked by 12-13 people and the area is still on fire.

Perhaps NOW you can understand that THINKING adversaries and or terrorists are far more dangerous.
This incident is an existential escalation for which the intellectual midgets controlling Pakistan to day were not ready for.

The supply line of Nato is over 1200 miles long and anyone with an ounce of military thought can understand what this means.

  2. In the past British faced same nightmare of supply caravans being attacked and plundered, a reason why British were unable to have a hold on this area.

    @semirza

Nobody ever held this region. This is why it is called lawless. And this is the most unfortunate reality.

I wonder how long our nation will continue to pay for the third party war? Zia's govt. involved Pakistan into a third party war which is continued till today. We have been paying heavy costs of this war since then.

  5. Again I can't tell. Are those gloomy or glad voices I hear above? For me this is a splendid piece of news that the militants got 25 supply trucks to the enemy at one go.

HF - Any war in Afghanistan is not a third party war for Pakistan. Has never been, can never be. Afghanistan is a brother country, and, if that doesn't suffice, it's a neighbouring country and we our home to the Pathans or Pukhtoons if one prefers as well, the biggest tribal group remaining in the world. Whatever happens in Afghanistan vitally concerns Pakistan. Their war(s) will always be those of Pakistan as well.

  7. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

@Hussain Farooqui: As long as we remain stooges in the hands of foreign/non-Muslim/unjust entities we shall have more death, more destruction.

We/Pakistan made a choice to be stooges of foreign unjust entities. Stooges who support injustice deserve to die.

Don't those of you who actually got the chance of listening to the whole contents of that controversial Hamid Meer call with a Talib find it surprising that in a funny way most of the things that Hamid Meer referred to in that call came true?

    I mean

1-He mentioned Khawaja and he got killed!

2-He told the Talib that according to him Qadyanis (Ahmadis ) were worse than non-muslims and lo and behold, two of their mosques got attacked in which many got killed!

3-finally he mentioned as to how there was a plan to ambush nato supplies and guess what nato trucks get attacked yesterday in which 8 dies!

So I wonder how all those rightist/ conservative hawks, who has this god-gifted ability of identifying a design or a conspiracy in the most lamest of western talks, pictures, symbols, signs , body languages, ideas etc think about all of this? ;)

This attack on the Nato supply line is simply a military operation.
To connect it to what Hamid Meer or anyone else might or might not have said is simply false.
In military operations- people do die.
It should be wrong to celebrate or to condemn it.

The nation of Pakistan will continue to pay for the results of WAR as long as -
    1. they remain gutless and clueless and keep electing morons or doing nothing about cowards like Musharraf, Zardari, Nawaz Shareef and the likes of Zardari.

    2. Try and make profit through selling goods to those who are in Afghanistan to kill. Make no mistake lots of money is being made by the trucking companies and those that sell all these goods to the Nato forces

But I must point out again this just one part of the escalation of this so-called War on terror. It will escalate as those that are the under dogs will continue to improve their thinking, their planning and their tactical execution of what they want to do.

Suspected Taliban gunmen torched 50 Nato supply trucks on the outskirts of Islamabad last night , killing at least seven people, in the most audacious assault yet on the military supply chain in Afghanistan.

Militants have regularly ambushed western supply convoys near the Afghan border, but this was the first attack near the Pakistani capital.

  13. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

Guardian is trying to portray Pakistan as the battleground, between Muslims and USA / Nato.

USA/Nato have already entered Pakistan. They have stationed themselves in many parts of Pakistan. Islamabad is just one of their base of operations.

In-fact they (west) are increasingly becoming desperate to start war, to start conflicts inside Pakistan. Why ? Because their economy is falling apart. They will end up like any other 3rd world country in a matter of a few years. They need to get rid of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal before they go down themselves.

    The west has already entered Pakistan through covert means. Their large embassies, plus houses they have rented are their bases of operations. They have them in;

    (1) Islamabad
    (2) Peshawar
    (3) Gharo, Sindh
    (4) Lahore
    (5) Tarbela
    (6) Jacobabad
    (7) more places I can't recall right now

I have news for west: If we ever found you to be the ones who started conflicts/hostilities inside Pakistan, we will not allow even one of your men on our land to go back alive. They will ALL! be buried here.
