You know the Gujrat massacres took place in 2002. Can you point out any similar events after that. This is despite the fact that various large scale bomb blasts and terrorists attacks have taken place in Indian cities, for which India has repeatedly blamed Islamic terrorists and Pakistan.
Despite this, Gujrat has not been repeated. Infact Indian government inquiry stated that the whole Gujrat episode was staged and Muslims were wrongfully accused of burning a train full of Hindus.On the contrary, it would be better for you, to take a look at Pakistan, which should force you to hang your head in shame. Do you know that since the time of ZiaulHaq, Shiites are routinely killed in Pakistan and suicide attacks frequently target them. The violence against them has been going on for many years and still continues. Do you know that Shias in Kurram Agency have been under siege from the Taliban for more then a year, with reports of some dying due to lack of food and medicines. The Taliban have also massacred the Shias there in a most brutal manner.

I am surprised that people have the nerve of pointing fingers elsewhere without looking at what goes on in our country. Before looking at India, look at our own reality and stop daydreaming. We are way worse off compared to India.

Again Gujrat happened 7 years ago, Indian govt. has successfully prevented repeat of another similar event, while it would have been very easy for one to occur given all the major terrorists attacks blamed on Muslims.

memberI don't think India can be better than Pakistan. I recently read detailed report on Indias development past/present/future.
I don't want to go in that direction, but I concluded that Pakistan is in better position and can go up very fast if our 'loyal friends' leave us alone and take traitor rulers with them.

India, due to an alarming growth on population and limited resources, cannot achieve the Status of a Super Power.
But this reality cannot be overruled where, in various fields of life, India and Indians are doing extremely well.
People of India expose a feeling of pride for being Indians due to their achievements in Technology, Entertainment, Medicine, Computer and Space Science.
It is not wise to get hyper, irritated, offensive or defensive, while talking about the progress of neighbors.
Better to learn and implement the blueprint of progress, with open mind.Offtopic-edited

MemberGujarat happened in the past. Graham Staines was burnt alive with his kids in the past. Babri Masjid was demolished in the past. Sikhs were massacred in the past. Massacres of Muslims in Meerut, Bombay-Bhiwandi, Bharatpur all happpened in the past. The most recent christian killing spree in Orissa happened months back so it is also a past event.
So lets forget the past. At least, there was no report of minorities killing in India during the last half an hour. This is the current situation and the only relevant situation. This makes India a heaven for all minorities.

If any sane person has been following recent news, they would have read or heard, the 'Nexalites' over-running MANY police stations.
Why would there be popular uprising in India if India was treating its citizens or minorities well ?
