This seems to be an implanted story. The exact words were used about "Musharraf's remnants" by Kh Asif in the last night show Lekin.

As to the content, one thing must be clear to anyone that PTI does not believe in rabid anti-Americanism and anti-Indian propaganda to further its politics. PTI's politics is based on solid foundation of a prosperous vision for Pakistan, it does not need hatred of others to sustain itself.
If anyone has joined the party to paddle his or her anti-Americanism and anti-Indian attitude, then he or she can decide their future as they like. One thing must be clear to anyone, only Imran and Imran alone is indispensable to PTI, at this stage. No one else is.
A political party cannot apply a "filter" to millions of people who are attaining basic membership every month.
Actually, this whole concept is moronic. Is it logical for a political party to ask that only those who have never committed any wrongdoing vote for it? Then why regarding basic membership? (Of course, if it's confirmed that someone has committed a crime or broken a policy of the party otherwise, then he maybe ousted)
I advise people to check Hasan Nisar's take on it. When religion doesn't apply such filters and gives the chance to all and sundry to enter and correct themselves, what is a political party?
It only matters, under legal and ethical constraints, that the people who are given important portfolios and bid for MNA/MPA status must have track record free of corruption and malpractice.
Leadership makes a lot of difference. It brings the best out of people and let's them achieve their potential, while bad leadership hampers it. We have examples of this in our religious history. Great enemies of Islam became its greatest saviors upon joining the caravan.
There is also a tactical thing to consider here. Riding on an illogical high horse and putting up insane barriers around the party, might satisfy a few within, but it has the potential to kill off the movement and benefit its opponents. If PTI did not take people like SMQ and others, who would gulp them within no time? PMLN, of course, a party of status quo and a political mafia to the core.
Then these same liars of PMLN would say, "look at the stable and rising popularity of PMLN, big political guns are joining us!" The same people who are now crying, "Grapes are sour!"
I think I have made myself abundantly clear.
