Threats to Pakistan from Foreign Powers

  1. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

I'm creating this resident thread to document as well as discuss the threats Pakistan, we the people of Pakistan face from foreign powers.

    The first point I want to discuss is the news I found in DAWN just now;

DAWN News: US to spread training in Pakistan

    Friday, 12 Feb, 2010
    --------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone remember the famous 'East India Company' Scenario ? Not only is the US getting two large counselates in place i.e., in Islamabad, in Peshawar, they might also be getting one in Karachi or Gharo, Sindh. They already have I believe, ALL of Tarbela as their base.

Now, they are expanding training camps. Which means, they are expanding their operation, plus number of foot soldiers on our land.

It is interesting to note that no community within Pakistan has taken note of this foreign threat ?

This threat becomes MORE significant especially since Gen. Kiyani clearly negated the idea of needing training from foreigners.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    (1) What are people of Pakistan doing about it ?
    (2) Is there any community within Pakistan that is opposing this move ?
    (3) Do we have a defense strategy to counter this effort of making inroads into Pakistan ?

  2. Don't worry. Pakistanis are aware and able to differentiate among friends and foes. Long term plans to rule the whole world as the only power have been attempted before and not just now, but never realized.

  3. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

Mirza sb. your statement noted. Yet, they have achieved great strides.

The enemy has acquired military bases in key areas of this country. He is now planning to bring in MORE of his troops INTO our land through these unnecessary training programs.

We are sitting idle, allowing them for it, watching them do it, right in-front of us, without so much as a peep.

The potential threat that Pakistan is facing today is from elements within Pakistan that can be enumerated as follows:

    1. Fragile political system, incompetent government and corrupt politicians.
    2. Interference of religion in to the political matters of Pakistan.
    3. Increasing influence of mullas on the general public leading to increase in hatred between different sects of people and hatred for the people of other countries and religions.
    4. Dangerous role of madrissas.
    5. Falling standards of education.
    6. Rebellion against the country on the part of religious fanatics like Taliban.
    7. Hostility within the people of different ethnic entities and provinces.
    8. Corruption within the society.
    9. Looting and plundering of national wealth.
    10. Trend of hating and abusing our armed forces for our petty political gains.
    11. Considering every country of the world as Pakistan’s enemy.
    12. Increasing population as against decreasing arable land.

In the circumstances as stated above, do we need an external enemy?

  9. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

I wish, we Muslims could have peace of mind. That we would not be needing to distance traitors from our discussions, that we would not need to engage with them in time wasting word brawls, rather concentrate on our discussions within our community, our own people.

Yet, we have to constantly face those, talk with those, waste time with those, who consistently talk against the interests of the common man of Pakistan, consistently talk against common sense.

It is frustrating to note that those who have power allow our discussions to be bogged down by such people, especially when they have been repeatedly identified.

How can people indulge in constructive, creative discussions when they have to constantly engage with people like these people.

*sigh* .. I wish our people were more intelligent, more educated, more experienced.
