    They said that the three MQM activists — Nazimuddin alias Adil, Adnan Ali and Irfan alias Shahrukh — had come to the weekly bazaar and were waiting for its organiser in their jeep.

    But either organizer had some other plan or some other Bhata Mafia.... Oh well, this game is dirty, very dirty.

    There has been some history of sectarian violence and target killings also. There were reports some Irani ghulam were found working in Bobby group taking on Saudi ghulams and vice versa, but from their names it is probably not a sectarian issue.

    Although many Saudi ghulams were found from Naee Kiranchi area from many news reports I read in past.

    In the absence of non-political and strong Police, Karachi has become a melting pot of mafias.

    Now, MQM has other contenders to fight with..ST, ANP, Amn Committee.

    Problem is when one mafia steps back other quickly move in for the kill so no one wants to step back. Its just a downward spiral.

    This takes me some months back in past when target killings were at their worse and many people used to say it is the mafias and land grabbers and what not are causing all this.

    At the same time the "political" parties of Karachi such as Bobby group, ANP badmash and the terrorist group Lyari Amn committee were spewing fire against each other in newspapers and on TV and the same political forces were threatening each other and leaving coalitions.

    Then Zardari started negotiations with Bobby group, changed home minister, and achieved political reconciliation and when I see the situation today, the target killings pretty much ended since then. At the same time all parties are sitting happily in government.

    So it is clear to me now, the unrest in Karachi is related to political issues rather than land mafias.

    Never ending saga, bhatta mafia cant be finished. MQM, PPP, ST, ANP, JSQM are contenders of bhatta and their workers are slitting throats of each other. Whereas, leaders are eating haleem together.. BRAVO

    THNX to STUPID WORKERS & PUBLIC.

    @rehanahd
    "workers are slitting throats of each other"... No bhai they are at job

    The way this system works, lets suppose 1st person take 1000 Rs in Bhatta ..he will keeps 200 Rs, Unit office and Sector office take and local police station 100 Rs each and
    Rs 500 goes to high command in Gang.....

    life is sweet, most of the time for such people but once in while they end up at wrong end of street where their judication ends. or some smart Arce try to keep more then fair share he got his arce kicked.
