Just recently in a thread, a pkpolitics member netengr posted ip addresses for myself, jj khan potohari and one more member. Later on this post was deleted by semirza. You can see semirza's post at the top of this page:

    My Questions to ADMIN:

Is our personal data vulnerable by logging on to pkpolitics? Does this website have any rule for member's privacy? Are we risking our privacy by logging on to this discussion forum?

    My Question to netengr:
What you wanted to get by showing our ip addresses like this?

Important is how/why access was given to member's IP addresses...

My post is deleted in which i mentioned that these IP addresses should not be shown with the edit .

I think that was the mistake by mod , no need to worry about nmow .

  8. All,

The feature was turned on to catch the dups. Now we have an alternate registration approval process to curb the duplicates and the reapparance of blocked one. I am in the proces of truning off the feature in question.

  9. The member netengr has proven all by himself that the content and intent of his presence has left much to be desired.
His behaviour and positive contribution both, towards pkpolitics will count to be a decisive factor to establish how he would or should be entertained!

Admin is always informed about the events that happen here.

Well i don't think duplicate/multiple ids can be caught automatically.....blocking single IP may block a bunch of users
as in many areas of Pakistan many user share the same public IP who are connecting through cable net or through their school/company proxy server. I don't think everyone got dedicated static IP for their internet usuage, mostly IPs assigned dynamically.
Moreover users can use web proxy servers, anonymous proxies and tunnels as well.
So for me i think catching multiple ids can't be automatic but moderators need to do it manually by keeping an eye on the posters.
    Cheers
