Pollution is the biggest hazard now but in next 20 years wind and solar energy will replace the pollutant sources of energy.
Life expectancy in industrialized nation is on the rise.I agree much work needs to be done in developing countries.Deforestation is a major concern.

  10. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

I was disappointed in 2009. I could have read much more than I did. I was expecting the Mastering series Books for Microsoft Windows Server 2008, which didn't come out, because the author didn't find it useful to write his book.

I was expecting the world to get better, rather than get worse.

    - There are over 1 billion people today, who don't have food

    - There are millions of people who don't have basic necessities of life

    - millions of people in Iraq, Afghanistan lost basic necessities of life because of non-defensible wars

    - Injustice worldwide is at far higher levels than it was in previous years

    - Many innocent people were killed in non-defensible wars without any reason

    - More people lost their jobs in 2009 than in the past 2 decades

    - Governments still are not helping the poor, the common man

    - Governments are still filled with ministers who are busy filling their own pockets at the expense of common man's suffering

No scientific advancement can remedy that. Advancement in medical science is more about money than good-consciounce.

    Scientific advances;

    - can't give justice to common man
    - won't fill empty stomach of the poor
    - becomes a topic for those who already have access to basic necessities of life
    - today are comming about at the expense of good of the common man

The most deprived people on this earth are Muslims. They are kept deprived by their leaders, especially by their religious leaders who tell them that this world is ‘qaidkhana’. They are not encouraged to excel in education, science, technology and exploration of universe.

Just look what achievements the world over are being made by non-Muslims while religious fanatics have diverted the thinking of Muslims in killings only.

Unfortunately, we try to satisfy ourselves of our pathetic condition by hiding behind the excuses that America and West is responsible for it. It will never be helpful to us.

Why Muslim countries are in miserable situation under the rule/leadership of seculars/atheists/tyrants/kings/etc?

You have copy pasted something which is irrelevant to the idea expressed in my post.

I am trying to highlight Muslim community's success in US/Europe as highly professional people with highly advanced skills.

This idea was in response to adnak's general painting of Muslims as most deprived people on planet earth. So to make it more easy to digest for you, let me say that in other words -I am saying that when same people are in one region they are failure but when they are in another region they are a success as a community, why?

Your statement gives out the look of a 'propaganda' campaign rather than genuine worry about the people's interests.

@Red-Scorpion: You'r engaged in a conversation that is as worthless to you as it is to others. The only thing that is happening is, you'r enjoying it, missleading others is just a side-affect. It gives you a 'doze' of satisfaction, that you took another person 'for a ride', wasted theirs as well as your own time, doesn't it ? STOP! BS!'ing. Find something better to do with your life.

Muslims are more successful minorities when it comes to US/Europe simply because they get a cover of environment which is secular. Furthermore, they get freedom from ‘forced mullas interference’ into their preference of working.

Muslim countries are in miserable situation due to ‘uncalled for’ interference of religion into the matters of the state. Muslim countries (like Malaysia, Turkey, UAE) which have been able to control mullas’ interference into the affairs of the country, are in much better shape.

Muslims are successful in European countries because they operate there on western system. Muslims are zalil o khowar in Muslim countries because they’re so called sharia and sharia based systems are incompatible with modernity and have caused their societies to totally collapse.
Maybe all the Taliban mouth pieces can enlighten us with the advancement in science made by the Taliban, Saudis, Jordan, Egypt, Pakistan etc these are all jahils that even if they are given 2000 years would not be able to produce anything. Let’s all pray that the west takes pity and shares the knowledge with them.

US/European Embassies have a proper procedure to select people from these third world countries, people who want to either go for education or career. These procedures tell us about certain selection process.

One thing that we can see is that candidates show initial success & talent to some extent in their own country.

In US/Europe they only groom the selected talent.

Talent is already there and govt in Muslim countries are in the hands of secular powers, why these seculars fail to utilize this talent for their own good?

Yes we do have a lot of talent in Pakistan. But the conditions created by religious fanatics, especially taliban like criminals, have closed all the doors for this valuable talent to prosper.

Secular leadership in Pakistan had always been blackmailed by mullas. Even a powerful secular like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was dictated by mullas. We will not be able to do any progress till religion and politics are separated once for all.

The name 'Islamic Republic of Pakistan' is selected for the state of Pakistan.
Islam is declared as the state religion of Pakistan.
Steps shall be taken to enable the Muslims of Pakistan, individually or collectively, to order their lives in accordance with the fundamental principles and basic concepts of Islam.
Steps shall be taken to make the teaching of the Qur'an and Islamiyat compulsory, to encourage and facilitate the learning of Arabic language and to secure correct and exact printing and publishing of the Qur'an.
Proper organisation of Zakat, waqf and mosques is ensured.
The state shall prevent prostitution, gambling and consumption of alcohol, printing, publication, circulation and display of obscene literature and advertisements.
Only a Muslim could be qualified for election as President (male or female) and Prime Minister (male or female). No restriction as to religion or gender on any other post, up to and including provincial governor and Chief Minister.
All existing laws shall be brought in conformity with the injunctions of Islam as laid down in the Qur'an and Sunnah and no law shall be enacted which is repugnant to such injunctions.
A Council of Islamic Ideology shall be constituted referred to as the Islamic Council. The functions of the Islamic Council shall be to make recommendations to Parliament and the Provincial Assemblies about the ways and means of enabling and encouraging the Muslims of the Pakistan to order their lives in accordance with the principles of Islam.
The President or the Governor of a province may, or if two-fifths of its total membership so requires, a House or a Provincial Assembly shall, refer to the Islamic Council for advice on any question as to whether a proposed law is or is not repugnant to the injunctions of Islam.
For the first time, the Constitution of Pakistan gave definition of a Muslim which states: 'Muslim' means a person who believes in the unity and oneness of Allah, in the absolute and unqualified finality of the Prophethood of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, and does not believe in, or recognise as a prophet or religious reformer, any person who claimed or claims to be a prophet, in any sense of the word or of any description whatsoever, after Muhammad.
The state shall endeavor to strengthen the bonds of unity among Muslim countries.
The Second Amendment (wef 17 September 1974) of the 1973 Constitution declared for the first time the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (Qadianis) or the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement for the Propagation of Islam (Lahoris) as non-Muslims, and their leader, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, who had styled himself as a so-called prophet of Islam, as a fraudster and imposter Nabi.[

We have very good schools, colleges and universities. Though we have very few engineering/medical universities but still we have them which produce talent that gets worldwide recognition. I don't see any mulla influence let us say on NUST or GIKI or Quaid-e-Azam Univerity etc?

Not sure what do you mean by 'influence'.

We need more quality institutes like GIKI and for that the funds/policy is under the control of secular/liberal leaders.

When Muslims go to western countries they operate on a secular western system. Explain why they do so well? Who are the backward people in this world who are unable to progress for the last 200 years? Who are the backward people who only brag about the past but can’t meet the challenges of now and future? Who are the people that are leading the way? What system are they using? What group has reformed itself the best and in the most humane way? What countries is the technology coming from? What countries have the best colleges and the most learned students? What system are they using?
