    KARACHI:
    We are unhappy with the Pakistan Peoples Party, said former party activist, Maher Muhammad Brohi while speaking at a press conference on Thursday.

    “This is why we are joining Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.” He added the people of Lyari were suffering because of their elected representatives. Brohi and others activists of PPP’s district south announced that they had joined the PTI and were welcomed by the party’s Karachi president Ashraf Qureshi.

    “They don’t have basic facilities like gas, even though they have had a major role in making Karachi,” he said while talking about problems faced by the residents of Lyari.

    He added that he shared PTI chief Imran Khan’s vision and hoped that he won’t ignore Lyari when he came into power. According to Qureshi, a lot of people were joining the party because they shared Imran Khan’s vision. He criticised the recent wave of target killings and the price hikes.

    Several PPP Lyari activists join PTI

    KARACHI: The cruel behaviour of elected representatives of Lyari has compelled us to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and quit the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), said prominent political activist of Lyari, Mehar Muhammad Brohi. Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club here on Thursday, the PPP activist Brohi, along with his several fellows, announced to join PTI. He said Lyari had been facing problems since long despite all its residents’ contribution towards democracy and country. Those who reached the floors of assemblies through the votes of Lyariites are enjoying luxuries at posh areas of the metropolis, he observed. He hoped that Imran Khan would help in provision of their due rights to them and would support the residents of Lyari at every level. He said that target killings should be stopped and the culprits taken to task without any discrimination. Brohi said they wanted to mitigate his community’s problems and would try to fulfill due legal demands of Lyariites. Lyari was established before the development of Karachi but unfortunately unemployment and other issues are still persisting there, which is the matter of great concern, he said. PTI Karachi President Ashraf Qureshi welcomed Brohi and his colleagues’ joining in the party. He said a few months back law enforcement agencies arrested many target killers but they kept them away from media. Qureshi also strongly criticised the recent raise in prices of fuels. He said that Lyariites had been starving despite all their contribution and services for peace and democracy in the country. asad farooq

    This is good news for PTI after hacking of their website; no doubt PTI is attracting members of other parties en masse. Lotaism should be order of the day.

    sweettruth,When someone joins a party other than pti why dont you call them lota.
    PTI has to make a team in pakistan as it cannot import politicians from abroad.
    A political party is not a club where you can accept certain members but i do agree there shouldnt be room for corrupt elements.

    کیا آپ سمجھتے ہیں کہ ہماری سیاست میں لوٹے مرکزی کردار ادا نہیں کر رہے ہیں؟ارے جناب یہی تو وہ لوٹے ہیں جو سیاسی انتشار اور خلفشار کا باعث ہوتے ہیں۔ نہ خود چین سے ہی رہتے ہیں نہ رہنے دیتے ہیں۔ آخر بے پیندے کے جو ٹہرے۔ویسے دیکھا جائے تو بے پیندے کے لوٹے ہی سب سے زیادہ مشہور ہوتے ہیں۔اسی وجہ سے ادھر ادھرلڑھکتے پھرتے ہیں۔یہ پیندے نیچے سے گول ہوتے ہیں، کسی کروٹ چین سے نہیں بیٹھتے۔ جدھر سہارا دیکھتے ہیں اسی کے ہولیتے ہیں ۔الیکشن کے موقع پر ہر پارٹی ان کی تلاش میں رہتی ہے اور دبی آوازمیں یہ کہہ رہی ہوتی ہے کہ لوٹے حاضر ہوں۔ اور لوٹے بھنک پاتے ہی آواز کی طرف چل پڑتے ہیں۔ایک نظم بعنوان لوٹا نامہ سے ماخوذ شاعر نیاز سواتی نے کیا خوب کہا ہے ۔

    نہیں ہیں کسی کے وفادار لوٹے … کسی سے یہ کرتے نہیں پیار لوٹے

    ضمیر اپنا یہ بارہا بیچتے ہیں… یہ منڈی میں بکتے ہیں سو بار لوٹے

    یقیں جو دلائے وزارت کا ان کو… اسی کا سجاتے ہیں دربار لوٹے

    یہ لوٹا کریسی کبھی ختم بھی ہوگی یا نہیں؟ کچھ آپ بھی کہیں اس بارے میں؟
