US ambassador meet Army chief Kiyani

(23 posts)
  1. Today US Ambassador met COAS Gen Kiyani. Although the reason given in the ISPR press release is that this meeting was to discuss matters of mutual interests

    But

I suspect something else. In the climate of heightened political tensions and ongoing fight between govt and judiciary, there is something cooking in the background and this meeting is related to that.

    What do you think guys.

  9. Generals including COAS should not be in direct contact but through Ministry of Defense and that also through arranged liaison by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Now since 1999 every tom, d*i*c*k and harry is in touch with foreign diplomats, (including those who cannot be classified as mainstream politicians) a condition for any uniformed person not to be a part of but avoid.

I agree with Salam, it is to pressure them into N.Wazir coinciding with the other statement made by Senator Carl Levin.

  12. Mr. Attention
Please look around and see if you are able to find any one who is interested as per your standard or else **** is there.

To discuss with you is difficult because this particular word discuss is not a part of your agenda. Your agenda is to involve us in useless bickering.

Kindly fish for another if you are lucky enough.

Allow me to say something to you; and that is say something on topic.

The best way is not to pick one and focus all your ideology addressing him/her but to have confidence saying things upfront.

What do you have on meeting of US ambassador and Kiyani? On/of your own!

"I agree with Salam, it is to pressure them into N.Wazir coinciding with the other statement made by Senator Carl Levin."

A boss meeting her employee making sure he is with the program -- so nothing to report here. :)

P.S. Regarding Levin's statement, here it is for completeness:
US senator Levin: Pakistan MUST take on Haqqani network

Note:- This bit caught my eye from the link above:

Sen. Carl Levin, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, said he does not think the Haqqani network will ever make peace and he vowed to push to include the group on the U.S. terrorist blacklist.
    ...
The Haqqani network, which mainly focuses on attacking targets in Afghanistan, is suspected of maintaining ties to Pakistan's powerful military intelligence agency...

    1. Even after nine years of the "War on Terror", Haqqani group is NOT on the US terrorist blacklist. This means ONLY ONE THING: Haqqani network is NOT a terrorist organization. So why should Pak Army attack them as part of "War on Terror"????

    2. The Haqqani network ONLY attacks targets in Afghanistan. So why should Pak Army attack them as part of "War on Terror"????

  17. All extremists above have too much time for starting and writing a trivial thread like an ambassador meeting the Army Chief but no time for condemning Taliban terrorists who blown up over 100 innocent Pakistanis in North West Pakistan. Shame on them for double standards.

Now America bashing is a fashion in Pakistani society; 25 years ago during Afghan Fasad, Americans were their godfather because they gave generous money to several Jihadi Groups, Govt of Pakistan and Army. Everyone welcomed USA, their presence and policies to win war against Soviet Union. 30 years ago Soviet Union’s Afghan invasion was the threat for USA foreign Policy; today Afghan Talibans are and Americans helped us during Afghan Fasad to humiliate Russians in Afghanistan. Today they want us to help them get rid of Taliban mafia which are our common enemy.

    "over 100 innocent Pakistanis"

You don't give a damn about those 100+ Pakisanis (you only use it to spam every thread) 'cause if you did, you'd also talk about the THOUSANDS of innocent Pakistanis killed (and millions rendered IDP) in this war of terror.

BTW: I am still awaiting your response, you monster you! ("Sharam tum ko magar aaati nahian" just don't cut it)

  19. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

Guys, isn't this 'straaaange' i.e., heads of Armies of two enemy/opposing Empires are meeting as if they are friends or those who have mutual interests ?!

I should laugh on this situation .. haha!

  20. Yeah right! Like Ayyubi never sent a horse to Richard the Lionheart.

Thank God for the mental toughness of Kiyani, some other goofball would have shagged the whole thing by now.

Pak army is one of the biggest receptive of US aid, they want to make sure money well spent. And beggars care less about things like national pride and rules of engagement. For them what count most is how can can fork more!!
