Shafqat Mehmood was elected Senator on PML(N) ticket in the 90s. Although he's a good analyst and columnist but doesn't have a constituency neither an electable person.

Shafqat Mahmmod was elected senator on PPP ticket. He later joined Farooq Leghari and was also a minister in the caretaker government installed after dismissal of Benazir's govt in 1996.

    He was never in PML-N.

It is indeed true that he has no constituency and cannot even become a councilor on his own.

He was also a minister in Punjab's caretaker setup after Musharraf's coup..

In todays hamid Mir Show he was asked why he joined PTI,he responded that he saw Imran as ray of hope and got attracted towards him "especially after he got public support"(He is a post 30Oct convert)

Well i respect Shafqat Mehmood as he has openly declared entering PTI.There are so many so called analysts like HR, his corrupt relative Mohammad Malick and many more who are actual memebers of PTI and write IK's speeches.

I have a very serious question for all my inqilabi brothers.

Why do every drop-out from PML and PPP finds his place in PTI? Doesn't it make PTI a party of leftovers?

Pyarey dost. It's your own fault. The more nooners LIE about PTI having support from the establishment the more people will flee from nooners :)

No you didn't get my point actually.

Let me re-phrase my question once again for you:

Why do the REJECTED ones from PML and PPP finds their way into PTI?

I'm talking about the ones who have been rejected and dismissed by PML and PPP for different reasons have actually become PTI members.

Who did PML-N REJECT? And IF a person is "rejected" in a certain party is then a criminal offense? What is important is the the character of the person. AND no, I don't expect angels in PTI. Grey areas can work fine provided they get the right environment. Proof? Look at expats...how do they flourish when they get the right environment? And are they a part of the corruption when they come back? Yes, at least they do give bribes to have things done.

Ok I'll try to simplify it further for my inqilabi brothers:

This is how the current trend is going these days.

First of all any person who wishes to contest the elections from his constituency will first approach PML(N) for a ticket. PML(N) will thoroughly vet this candidate and if suitable will take him else leave him.

The rejected one from PML(N) will then knock on the door of PPP and would present his credentials for a possible ticket. If useful for PPP they will let him in else they will shut the door too.

Finally the ones being rejected from both PML and PPP would inevitably try their luck with PTI as they would have no other choice.

So in the end the cream of the electables will go to PML and PPP and only leftovers would eventually become members of PTI.

Dar! its a good wishfull thinking, but it is not fair but just a fairy-tale.
PTI is going to take over Pakistan and they should be WELCOMED, as you should try something new rather than stuck with old sharks- the blood suckers. PTI has to get prove it, and I believ in the leadership of Imran they have talent to change the fate of Pakistan, which is GOOD for all of us.
