Very old one must be made in early 2002 !
@ 17 mins Taliban Khan says "Some Madressahs are excellent others (means most) are breading ground for an intolerant version of Islam ....... the imam here told me most of his students had left to join Taliban in Afghanistan and some of the remaining boys have also signed up to go..."
But today Taliban Khan tells masses something different , i.e. There were no Talibans in Pakistan before 2004 i.e. start of mly ops in FATA !!!
And Madressahs don't produce militants and religious bigots !
What a loser nut-case he is !!!
@LaiBichoo
He has been saying this since his crickting days.But unfortunately God has kept you unaware of everything even Islam.
When there was no war in Pakistan so what were they doing in Pakistan?
They left pakistan for Kashmir and Afghanistan where there was war going for decades.What amazes me is you did not know where thses students went and who they fought against.
Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
This video was uploaded in 2007, as per youtube.
hariskhan,

But the VDO was made immediately after US/NATO invasion on Afghanistan and it must have been made in beginning of 2002 !
i.e. There was no mly ops in FATA, but VDO proves there were Talibans in Pakistan who went to Afghanistan to help their brethren there !
And this VDO also exposes IK's another Qalabazi i.e. at that time he thought "Some Madressahs are excellent others (means most) are breading ground for an intolerant version of Islam ....... ", but now he says Madressahs don't teach violence and hatred !!!!!
@lal
lal sahib
i'm afraid your information is mistaken - read Christine Fair's study on Madrassah's in pakistan - the majority are not 'breeding grounds of extremism' but the last stop for some sort of education for the poorest of the poor
so no most madrassah's do not teach 'violence and hatred'
i think IK's point is that there was no local extremist entity calling itself 'taliban' as there is now
thirdly the usage of the term taliban is much maligned - as you know - it is simply a term for students...
I think IK has made some foolish statemeents on many occausions but his basic premise on the spread of terrorism is correct which is that extremism is a direct result of the failure of the state to provide for the residents of FATA and other rural underdeveloped areas...
gv,
""i'm afraid your information is mistaken - read Christine Fair's study on Madrassah's in pakistan - the majority are not 'breeding grounds of extremism' but the last stop for some sort of education for the poorest of the poor ""

Meray bhai, I'm sure you have watched the VDO, then plzzz read again my first post !
I just commented on what IK says in the VDO, where have I expressed my veiws on Madressahs in this thread ???
Plzzz do tell me !
+++++++++++++++++++++
"""i think IK's point is that there was no local extremist entity calling itself 'taliban' as there is now """

Historically and factually Talibans were actually exported from Pakistan to Afghanistan, weren't they ???
So, how can we believe what IK says now ?
BTW he himself says in the VDO "........... the imam here told me most of his students had left to join Taliban in Afghanistan and some of the remaining boys have also signed up to go..." , what's your take on that ?
@lal
i assumed that because of your comment (means most) - please clarify

All - Some = Others, means most :)))
@lal
you're contradicting yourself my friend
gv,
How, meray doost ?
@lal
your post above says (or implies) that the majority of madrassahs are breeding grounds of extremism and i beg to differ...
gv,
Well, that's what I think and that's what I think IK says in the VDO !!!
BTW why do you think majority of Madressahs are not breeding grounds of extremism ???
I live in Karachi and I know most of the big Madressahs of Karachi produces fanatic mullahs ! (just go and check Binori Town, Jamia Farooqia, Dar ul Khair, and Ashraf ul Madaras to name a few !)
@LalBicho
"BTW why do you think majority of Madressahs are not breeding grounds of extremism ???
I live in Karachi and I know all the big Madressahs of Karachi produces fanatic mullahs "
But how does this verify that All Madressahs are breeding grounds for extremism even if u have seen all big madressahs in karachi produces fanatic mullahs? certainly Pakistan doesnt consist of karachi only,there are other three provinces too and hundred and thousand of Madrassahs are working in these provinces,i think we shouldn't be judgemental just on the basis of experiences we get from only a certain part of country...
RhyMe,
You are right !
I've just edited my post and have replaced 'All Madressahs' with 'most of the big Madressahs', !
P.S. I'm not gonna argue more over madressahs' issue here as that would detrack the discussion !
@Lalbicho
thats a good spirit...
In our traditional madresa system, we produced scientists like Sina, Al Beruni, Jabbir,, etc., architects who designed construction marvels like Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Badshahi Mosque,,etc. Hakims who had discovered treatment for ailments like cancer, etc.
Can the present day madresas produce any scientists, engineers and doctors? The answer is definitely 'no'.
These present day madresas run only on donations are orphanages and charity centers rather than any educational institutions. We need to revamp the entire system of madersas and re-develop such madresas which can provide versatile knowledge like that of tradtional madresas.
@hussain farooqui
my sentiments exactly - but that cannot be achieved by tarring all of them with the same brush
madressa were supposed to produce fanatics because of following reasons;
1-Why did we leave religion on a certain portion of society?The biggest blunder Muslims as an Ummah made was they left religion on Mullas and Madressa educated people.
We all are Muslims so we are equally responsible for our religion.Our elites has since many decades or even centuries stopped learning religion.
Now what we get is a society where we have three parallel education system.One system is producing westernized minds,the other religous fanatics and third one who are hanging in the middle and confused minds.
2-Treatment with Muslim countries like Palestine and Kashmir is helping Mullas motivate students for Jehad.
Solution lies in one education system and renewing relationship with USA and West.
