    Yes, Indeed!

Nawaz, Zardari, Altaf, et al are open secrets. People voting for them are complicit in any crime their leadeship commits.

Yes they are and they are supposed to penalize them by not voting for them in elections.

  4. Being innocent/ignorant of the moral character of a 'campaigning for office' politician is a crime committed by those who side line Pakistaniat in favour of criminals so as to benifit in return are criminals.

However masses lurred by promise of greener pastures (false promises) if vote to power such criminals, are victims themselves, and cheated into vote a criminal to power.

Our constituency politics isn't linked with national or regional politics or policies.

We usually vote because we believe this candidate will make my road complete, or put gutter line, or bring electric connection, or transfer my relatives from away postings to city, or beradery/family, or vadera orders, or chaudary orders etc.

And they usually do get some of these benefits.

plus the SHO will be under control, harass opponents after coming into power by utilizing state machinery, and and so much to support my candidate!

What you have posted is very true. This is what a common man expects of them. But the corrupt politicians: 'Sabz bagh dekatey to hain laiken us main fruit be laga hooa hota hai'.

I think all parties do have party policies, not to follow and ease the pain and suffering of a common man, but to show off to the anchor of a TV talk show.

I don't believe in system of individual reform, meaning you correct every individual in society and that will result in everything to be correct.

I believe in top down system, party leaders if honest will choose local leaders based on transparent system, allot tickets based on transparent system and promote people based on transparent system.

If our top leadership is corrupt and came through illegal means, what can we expect how they will allot tickets/posts?

Anyone protests they make an example out of them so rest of the sheep don't make any noise. Sherry rehman protested, now we don't see/hear her, end of career. Aitzaz Ahsan...

mirza, they all have policies but they dont give it any importance because awam do not focus on those. Awam focus on personalities. We should follow up on policies and ask them how they are going to implement them, instead of cheering on hollow rhetoric.

    Posted 2 years ago on 18 Aug 2009 16:53 #
  13. Now that is being spot on. That is a discussion as it should be. You pointed out:
Not to focus on personalities rather party policies. Exactly this is what awam should follow.

You all cite the Politicians as the main source of evil but dont think about a very simple thing. 90% of our Politicians even cant spell or write simple English so how can we expect them to take part in the intricacies of Government where the language structure is still more complex than reading a newspaper.

Clean the Bureaucracy and you will find that the Politicians are helpless to figure out how to eat up the country. So we need to change the bureaucracy as well and are responsible from them too.

    NNL,

You're spot on, but please don't forget if you eradicate bureaucracy, these dimwit politicians will run your country into ground in a matter of days! They've got absolutely no clue about running state affairs.

It is a gigantic task of colossal proportions to make an individual of Pakistani citizenship to begin using thinking and then voting what is called “COMMON SENSE”.

Unfortunately, and I am always a pessimist when it comes to Pakistan. I believe Pakistanis are about 50 to 75 years behind in reaching the mental level of “common sense” based decision making in their lives and that of others.
Being massively ignorant, they vote by their love for briary, sardari, feudal, waderaism, ethnic, sectarian, parochial, personality cult, budmaashi, corruption and ghundaism based decision making, and therefore, I hold them 100% responsible and very deserving For the Acts / Crimes of all of their Leaders, Government as well as the condition they are in.

    SImple hai doost

    Personal Experience

MEtropolitian Bank Branch II Chundrigar Rd near Electronics Market.

    Culprit VP & Branch Manager.
Culprit Brother of the said manager who as a shop in Electronics market
Victim A young kid who works a private contractor in Sindh High Court.

    Scheme.

The Young kid goes and buys a Mobilink card from Electronics market. then after a couple of months he finds in the newspaper as one of the lucky people who had won the stock option in a bank govt scheme. sort of a Lotto i think cant remember the exact scheme. He goes to the Bank Manager to claim his prize but also to find how the bloody hell did his name came up cos the only people who were entered in the Scheme were those who had bank accounts with the Metro Bank. The Bank Manager wasnt there but someone should him an entire account setup in his name and with his duplicate id. The account was made by the Branch Manager. Upon further investigation it turns out that when he had bought the mobile sim card from the SHop in Electronics Market he had given his ID photocopy to him for activation. That Photocopy was used to make an account on his behalf and then used to enter in the Govt Scheme for stocks or something like that.

The boy wants his money back and is going to the cops his cousin tells him to hold on they both contact the VP and tell him that they want 30 lacs in cash. for all this fraud on that photocopy.

The VP a Punjabi contacts a District Magistrate a Sindhi who contacts the Registrar of Administration of Sindhi High Court who is a Memon who takes them all to the Office of CHief Protocol Officer of CJ SHC who knows the young contractor and lives in his neighborhood.

In the Meanwhile Young kid and his cousin contact the SHO of the First Cyber Crime Unit to help them out and he says dont go to the SHC people if they call you. But as it turns out Chief Protocol Officer knew the SHO as well.

Now in the office of the Protocol officer the Trio VP, Magistrate, Registrar both try to convince the Protocol Officer that boy will killed or something worse will happen and therefore one should mediate on his behalf and talk some sense into him.

The young boy's cousin is in MQM and he was about to speed dial them when the young boy's mother gets a call from Protocol officer and they get called to home. Also the PRotocol Officer convinces the Kids to drop their price and also get pressure from the SHO to drop the case cos now all these people were involved.

The Protocol officer breaks the price of the young kid and wins their trust and then screws them out. Goes to the home of the young kid and tells his mother that today he saved her son from the the devil's prong the mother gives him his blesssing and all the while the Protocol officer gets a kickback from this and District Magistrate of his area also gets a call from him and he gets his PR increased.

So now you tell me who is the lesser evil.
