This defeat is not a defeat but a lesson which needs to be learnt. Being a Pakistani, We had expectations but now, we must have positive attitude especially towards our national team. Captain Shahid Afridi did a great job despite a lot pressures. He took us in semi final which was a big achievement and he promised for it that fulfilled. A team which was being stained by all corners of world with the labeling of match/ spot fixing reaches semi final of a mega event, itself a victory. Pakistan team proved that it has potential and can stand amongst the international teams. As far as semi final defeat is concerned, we should analyze our weaknesses and plan according by addressing these flaws. Otherwise blame game, mudslinging and allegations can produce more negative results. At this stage a message should go from the nation to our cricket team that we love you and stand by you. This match is not last match of our lives; move on with a better and responsible attitude towards new goals.

Let’s stand by our national cricket team and appreciate them for what they did and forgive them for what they couldn’t do. Every Pakistani should hold their head high, we qualified to semi finals. We are one of the world’s 4 best teams. There are lessons that need to be learnt at an individual and national level from the mohali semi-finals. We need to be more disciplined as a team and nation with focus on strategic leadership and team work at all levels needs come into play.

I fully standby with pakistani cricket team and proud of them and especially afridi to take the team upto semi-finals

look who didnot go to semifinals, Australia, England and South Africs and definitely they are much stronget teams than Pakistan

So I would say to all people stop whining and fully support your team and be there to welcome them when they return home

Yeah, but two teams from the region did go to the final and ironically they are not much strong either but better disciplined.

yess but let me be really realistic,

get rid of younus and misbah in odis.... its about that time. these guys are mature test players.

    for odis we need youth!

we need to invest time in a new keeper for next WC.... think about future! we need new blood, get over the mohammad aamer loss and find another Mohammad Aamer there are plenty in Pakistan.

I probably posted the first comments on this dawn.com blog but biased as they have turned out to be, it dint get the approval nod.

Lala doesnt need to say sorry?!! Did someone just freaking crack a joke?!

You spill six catches and you shouldnt be sorry about it?

Leave aside the batting powerplay and slipless bowling fiasco. Those are matters of a fully grown cricketing brain and relate remotely to lala.

  10. yes, we do love cricket.
    but we hate cricket diplomacy.

there are many ways to show diplomatic love than of cricket.

if PM and Co. has done it,they have added one more sin in their long list ,they have done against Pakistani public.

i love afridi...he is the best captain i have seen in years fr pakistan...and he lead them frm the front...so whd if we lost...we did a lot well in this tournament...only one loss to new zealand...we have imporvd a lot...get rid of akmal brothers..hate tht childeish attitude of .."mera bhai ko naee khila rahay to main bhee naee khailon ga"..****..are they really playing fr a country..sounds like gali muhalla cricket bachas to me...even they are mature now...younus shud also be given rest fr life...he was a gud allrounder...but nt working anymore i guess...im surprised whd happend to misbah...he shud be left as well...!
