As a youngster of Islamic Republic of Pakistan I am following Pakistani politics since 1990.
In my opinion, 1990s were good year s and Pakistan was going well. Four elections were held during 1990s. Two parties were dominant during that time and each party won the elections for two times. Things were going well. Apart from all the challenges we were facing at that time, both parties performed wel...l and they were capable to run the country. PML-N performed quite well in their tenure after 1997 (I am not going into details but analysis of their government after being elected in 1997 proves so).
Things started to go wrong after 1997 elections. I am talking about unnecessary involvement of establishment in politics. Establishment was not in favor of the rising of political parties. So they got rid of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto using Nawaz Sharif and then finally they got rid of Nawaz Sharif.
At that time new political parties were introduced. Imran Khan's PTI supported the army rule and when Imran Khan disappointed by the army generals, he (Imran Khan) said sorry to the whole Nation for supporting army to rule the country.
After worst years of army rule, in year 2007 a judiciary movement finally rolled away the army rule and finally, elections were held.
For these elections to be held, we lost a popular political personality Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Things were not smooth and easy after the elections till the restoration of judiciary in 2008. Situation did not even got better after restoration of judiciary since hidden powers (establishment) rolled away the clean and outstanding movement of judiciary. The army of Pakistan too did not back up judiciary to implement their orders including NRO etc.
In such worst scenarios, the honest politicians tried to perform well and I do appreciate their efforts. But on the other hand, due to crises of leadership and after Mohtarma Benazir's death, some inexperienced leadership took the control which being unable to run the country resulted in extreme corruption. In present days, our country has an excellent system. What we need is to run such system in an excellent way for which we need sincere, honest and responsible politicians. We also have an outstanding judiciary as well as experienced and honest politicians. What are we required to do is to perform our duties faithfully and things will be fine accordingly, InshAllah!
Establishment does not want experienced and responsible politicians to run the country, which is why; they have started supporting Imran Khan.
Imran Khan is the chessman of establishment. I could note that how many times he had used words about General Musharraf's trial, involvement of army in politics, corruption of army and so on.
As far as corruption is concerned, Supreme Court is doing great and we do not need any special units for corruption. We just need to support present judiciary and our experienced politicians.
Analyze the situation, understand your responsibility. Come forward and support those who have performed well in their time!
