Centre of gravity in PTI is IK. Whole story is about him, he is larger than life. His crime or credit is to challenge to forces of status qou, taking establishment head on, proving world' super power America wrong, mobilizing youth, giving Pakistanis a hope, attacking oxygen supply of N$ etc etc
Apparently, he does not move with massive security, what if these forces decide to take him out or he dies of natural cause (merey muneh mey khaak) What is succession planning for him? Will arif alvi lead the party or mian Azahar??

Then some one like fatima Bhotto will take over... I think PTI is still in building process and will take time to set up a full working team

  6. Let us see and wait if he ever gets knocked down. Being neutral means I would be intellecually dishonest. Imran is on an upward rise in popularity while all others are on a steep downward slope towards decline....

My comments for PMLN were taken as a token to cover up a smear campaign going on against me since long, that this particular mod is biased towards PTI. Not the case in favour for the purple lot doing their best to isolate me.

PMLN has been close to me since a long time (their history) cus I know some like Khawaja Safddar and Khawaja Asif as far as I know them...........Similarly I do know a lot from other sides like PPP and MQM. So let's keep up intellectual honesty while comments of all sorts do flow in.. and that's what pkpdiscuss is known for.............

Nooners are in their own world, and don't even remember which lies they have used. Nooners tried to disrupt PTI's jalsa by holding a mini jalsa themselves. When they saw PTI's jalsa they were burned inside and started to make all kinds of ridiculous excuses about chairs etc. and that NS was not the one who would speak at their "jalsi" and next time when the physical heavyweight NS would speak they would gather many more people. What does that mean? That Noon is also a one man show? According to yourself you cannot hold anything but a patwari jalsi without NS? What if NS is knocked down?

May Allah protect Imran Khan. Concerning the point raised if something happened to IK, PTI at the moment I feel are not strong enough, without IK it will be a major blow. If PTI win next elections, then within 3 years they will become a strong instituation, because when people see the work that they are doing for awam people will put faith into PTI.

I agree IK requires security, because the more his poularity grows the more system quo parties and US will pooh themselves.

Nooners are so shameless that I am sure they would be wishing IK's death. But well, death can come anytime, a leader should only take a minimum of precaution, and no more.

The fact is, if IK dies (God forbid) then it would be a national tradegdy for Pakistna.

    @iamsowise,

Where are your leaders hiding? Why are they waiting for IK's departure? Free media cannot create leaders.

IK IS the only hope in the current scenario. Currently you have NO leader of his caliber in ANY sphere of life in Pakistan.

  16. Correct, pakistani47 and I am ashamed of that deed of mine, until date.
And what put me off was that myself, my father and my grandfather voted when as per the voters list I was listed 20 years older than my father...what a shame on PPP playing with voters list. I hope you got my point because that particular polling booth was manned by people from our community and they knew my grandfather, my father and myself quite well cuz the main road and a connecting street are named honouring my peers.

the founder of any party is very essential to the cause of the party.... Imran Khan's party is technically still not on the map yet, May god forbid if something happens to Imran Khan, his party will be over...

if god forbid something happens to Altaf Bhai, then things will be different, his party is established and has solid structure... MQM will continue under someone else. but it will be a huge shock that one of their main leaders is gone.

Moreover, all other parties would survive in case of demise of their leaders thanks to dynastic politics. However, we dont see any other iconic personality around IK who would lead us into the inquilab?

Don't play the spoilers game. Please name a team in PPP and PML-N :)

PPP has not matured and is still relying on a even a donkey called Bhutto and "seasoned" politicians are ready to make a teenager their Quaid.

Noon is on the same tracks. After the two brothers it will be Hamza Shahbaz, who will take over. It's written all over the place. On top of that family members and business partners are also filling the top spots.

Is this what you call "mature" and "organized" parties. I call them family possessions and mafia gangs!

Btw: Which party are you going to vote for in the next elections?

I agree with you on the point that no party has any democratic principles inside their own systems. Most of them have hereditary leaderships. However, those parties don't appear to just one man show like PTI. During the absence of Shariff Bros., PML-N was functioning under some 2nd. grade leadership. During the exile period of BB, PPP was functioning under the leadership of politicians like Makdoom, Qaim Ali Shah,,etc.. Similarly, PML-Q does not have only Chaudhary Bros. as the only apparent politicians. There are many other apparent politicians working with them.

  26. IK will be knocked down for sure when he will allow political rejects from PML-N,Q or from other tested sides to join PTI. The idea of 'Change' will certainly be killed instantly.

Bhai, political gap is really very big. Majority of people are tired of the old politicians, but there is no competent leadership to fill it up really.

  28. @Hussain Farooqui,
Exactly, as you say 'majority of people are tired of old politicians', and IK will disappoint all those who showed up in his favour recently IF he will fall into the trap being setup for him by accepting these tested old faces in PTI.

    Thanks for your reply.

"PML-N was functioning under some 2nd. grade leadership. During the exile period of BB, PPP was functioning under the leadership of politicians like Makdoom, Qaim Ali Shah,,etc.. Similarly, PML-Q does not have only Chaudhary Bros. as the only apparent politicians. There are many other apparent politicians working with them."

Yes, and that is because the PML and PPP leadership has been running the country hence people have seen these faces appear on different news - IF not then on state TV, which is owned by the suitting owners. On contrary PTI has not yet run this country and hence YOU and still many other people don't know the faces, because they don't appear on the tv screens as often. Do you see the difference? BUT that does not mean there are no leaders other than IK. I am sure you must have seen debate programs with:

    - Dr. Arif Alvi
    - Dr. Shireen Mazari

    Both are real dr's. ;)

    - Naeem-Ul-Haq

After the tremendous show of power in Lahore we we also have seen people like:

    - Mehmood-Ur-Rasheed
    - Omar Cheema
    - Farooq Amjad

Brig.(R) Samson Sharaf is also heard on defence related issues.

Also people like Hamid Khan and justice (r) wajih-udddin are well know and well respected people, but they don't appear as often on tv. Personally I think they are too professional for the entertainment industry of political shows.

There are many more. Maybe you should visit PTI's website to watch some of the debate prg.'s. As earlier mentioned we cannot force any TV station to invite our people.

Another issue I don't understand from people like you is that on one hand you criticize PTI for not having "known" faces and on the other hand you don't want known faces to join PTI. Is there a contradiction.

I would still like to know whom you are going to vote for in the next elections:)

Why do you shy away from this question?

I agree to some extent. We must distinguish between different type of mistakes. People who are in grey areas and want to change should have a chance, but proven crooks with a BAD record MUST not be accepted.

It all comes down too your(not you personally) perception of the grey area, take the recent example of Shah Mehmood, i would not accept a person like that in PTI, because upto the Raymond Davis issue he was all hunky-dory with the American agenda as was his government, which infact is a contradiction to the line that PTI are towing because they have specifically stated that they are against drone attacks.

Isn't it your right to post any like/dislike comments about a party or other things being a member of PKP just like any other member on the forum?

I don't think anyone should have any problem with it, only your moderation/administration must remain unaffected from your biasness.

  35. Many are not happy with me when I post my comments/opinion. That is a reason why i am keeping a low profile, confining my activities to moderation only.

Imran must not make the mistake Jinnah made ie left the nascent country without trained leadership after his death.

Imran has got to mentor as many as he can, from some of the younger supporters and make sure they understand his vision and the ideals of PTI. This will make the idea of knocking him off unattractive and pointless.

Imran is not PTI, it's the people who support it that are. No one is bigger than the party.

that is a good message u have conveyed.

that is the true test of a leader.... how many leaders can he he mentor... how many new leaders can one leader create.
how can someone replicate themself to help in their cause and spreading their ideology.

being Prime Minister and becoming even more famous should not be Imran Khan's goal as people criticize him at times for that, if he is serious, he should be more concerned in leaving a legacy in Pakistan that will carry his work forward.

he can be succesfull alone, but if he can create such leadership only time will tell.

For artificial leaders, thought of mentoring another leader would be nightmare. If they see slightest germs of some talent in any of their circle, they will ensure he does not survive. Like N$ would never be threatened by Siddique al Farooq.
