Note: Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam)The Prophet of Allah has exhorted the regular recital of Suratul Kahf which will most certainly save one from the Evils of Dajjal.
http://quran.com/18(Rasullullah mean Prophet of Allah)
Hadhrat Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) relates that, "I heard Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) saying: "Since the birth of Adam (A.S.) till the advent of Qiyamah (judgment day)there is no fitnah (evil, test) much greater that of Dajjal."
Hadhrat Huzaifah (R.A.) says, Dajjal will be blind in his left eye. He will have very thick hair on his body and he will also have his own type of Jannat (Heaven) and Jahannam (Hell) with him: Although his Jannat will appear as Jannat, in reality it will be Jahannam and likewise though his Jahannam will appear to be Jahannam, in reality it will be Jannat.
(Hadith: Muslim)Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) says Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "Those who hear about Dajjal should stay far from him. By Allah! A person will approach him thinking him to be a Believer, but on seeing his amazing feats he will become his follower."
Ubadah bin Saamit (R.A.) once said, "I have explained Dajjal to you but I fear that you might not have understood. Maseeh Dajjal will be short, and his legs will be crooked. The hair on his head will be extremely twisted. He will have one eye (with which he can see, and this is the protruding eye about which other ahadeeth(saying of Prophet) inform us) while his other eye will be totally flat. It will neither be deep (in its socket) nor protruding.
If you still have any doubt regarding him then remember that your Sustainer (Rabb) is not one-eyed. (Because Dajjal will eventually claim to be Allah). In a lengthy Hadith narrated by Abu Saeed (R.A.), Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is reported to have said: "Dajjal will come but it will be prohibited and impossible for him to enter Madina. He will set up camp in a barren land outside Madina. One person who will be the best of persons will confront him by saying: "I bear witness that you are the very Dajjal about whom Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) has informed us."
Dajjal will say to his followers, "If I kill this person and then revive him, you people will still doubt me?"
They will reply, "No."
He will then kill this person, (according to another narration he will split this person in two) and thereafter revive him. This person will say, "I am totally convinced more than ever before that you definitely are Dajjal."
Dajjal will attempt to kill this person again but his efforts will now be in vain.
(According to a hadith, after this incident, Dajjal will not be able to harm anyone.)
Hadhrat Anas (R.A.) says that Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "Dajjal will come and finally reach the outskirts of Madina. There will be three tremors. At that time, all the disbelievers and hypocrites will flee (from Madina).
In this way Madina Munawwarah will be purified of all the evil hypocrites.
Hadhrat Asma bint Yazeed (R.A.) narrates that Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) once came to my house and there he spoke about Dajjal. He said that before the emergence of Dajjal there will be three spells of drought. In one year the skies will withold one third of its rains, causing the earth to withold one third of its produce. In the second year the skies will withold two thirds of its rains, causing the earth to withold two thirds of its produce. In the third year, the skies will withold all its water and there will be no crops that year. All animals, be they hooved or toothed, will die as a result. The greatest evil of Dajjall will be to approach anyone and ask him: "If I bring your camel back to life, will you then believe that I am your Rabb?"
This person will reply, "Most certainly."
Thereafter Shaytaan (from the many Shayateen who will always accompany Dajjal) will appear before this person in the form of his camel with a fat hump and fully laden udders.
Likewise Dajjal will appear before another person whose father and brother have long passed away and ask him, "If I bring your father and brother back to life will you believe that I am your Rabb?" (Rab is one of Quality of Allah)
This person will reply, "Why not?"
Shaytaan will once again take on the appearance of his brother and father...
(Ahmad)Hadhrat Mughira ibn Shu'ba (R.A.) says that, "No one asked Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) about Dajjal as much as myself. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) said to me, "How can he possibly harm you?"
I said: "People are saying that he will have with him a mountain of bread (provisions) and a river of water."
Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) said: "In the sight of Allah he is much more disgraced than that. (i.e. Allah knows full well that in reality Dajjal has nothing with him, and all that which appears to be with him is but deception). (Bukhari and Muslim).
Other Ahadeeth regarding Dajjal inform us that:
He will emerge between Shaam and Iraq, and his emergence will become known when he is in Isfahaan at a place called Yahudea.
The Yahudis (Jews) of Isfahaan will be his main followers.
Apart from having mainly Yahudi followers, he will have a great number of women followers as well.
He will have with him fire and water, but in reality the fire will be cold water while that what appears to be cold water will in reality be a blazing fire.
Those who obey him will enter "his Jannat" while those who disobey him will enter "his Jahannam."
There will be a thick fingernail-like object in his left eye.
The letters "Kaa" "Faa" "Raa" will appear on his forehead and will be deciphered by all Mu'mineen regardless of them being literate or not.
He will have a wheatish complexion.
He will travel at great speeds and his means of conveyance will be a gigantic mule. It is said that he will play beautiful music which will attract the music lovers.
Dajjal will lay claim to prophethood.
He will then lay claim to Divinity.
He will perform unusual feats.
He will travel the entire world. He will send down rains upon those who believe in him, which in turn will cause good crops to grow, trees to bear fruit and cattle to grow fat.
He will cause drought to those who disbelieve in him, resulting in starvation and hardship for them.
During those trying times the Mu'mineen (believer)will satiate their hunger through the recitation of Subhanallah and La'ilaha Ilallahu.
The hidden treasures will spill forth at his command. He will stay on this Earth for a period of forty days; the length of the first day will be one year, the second day will be equal to one month, the third day will be equal to a week and the remaining days will be normal.
He will be unable to enter Makkah because the Malaikah will be guarding the Holy City and nor will he be able to enter Madina because there will be Malaikah guarding each of the seven entrances to Madina; From Madina he will proceed towards Shaam where Imaam Mahdi will be stationed.
Finally Isa (A.S.) will descend from the heavens and pursue him and eventually kill him at present day Lydda (Baad Lud).from: "Signs of Qiyamah"

What does Quran say about Dajjal?
Posted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 12:28 # -
dajjal is not mentioned in the quran because of 2 reasons
1. its does not deserve to be mentioned in the holy quran.
2.its a great test for the mankind.Posted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 12:43 # -
The anti-Christ is called the Dajjal in Islam. There are certain signs in Islam, that indicate the coming of Judgement Day (the end of time). Islam says nothing, however, about '666'.
About the Anti-Christ - Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) said: "I warn you of him, and there was no prophet but warned his followers of him; but I will tell you something about him which no prophet has told his followers: Ad-Dajjal is one-eyed whereas Allah is not." (Bukhari 9.241, Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar)
The Prophet (pbuh) said: Let him who hears of the Dajjal (Antichrist) go far from him for I swear by Allah that a man will come to him thinking he is a believer and follow him because of confused ideas roused in him by him.
(Abu Dawood #4305, Narrated Imran ibn Husayn)About the end of time: Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) said: "The Hour will not be established
(1) till two big groups fight each other whereupon there will be a great number of casualties on both sides and they will be following one and the same religious doctrine,
(2) till about thirty Dajjals (liars) appear, and each one of them will claim that he is Allah's Apostle,
(3) till the religious knowledge is taken away (by the death of religious scholars)
(4) earthquakes will increase in number
(5) time will pass quickly,
(6) afflictions will appear,
(7) Al-Harj, (i.e., killing) will increase,
(8) till wealth will be in abundance--so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest nobody should accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person (to whom it will be offered) will say, 'I am not in need of it,'
(9) till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings,
(10) till a man when passing by a grave of someone will say, 'Would that I were in his place,'
(11) and till the sun rises from the West.
(Bukhari 9.237, Narrated Abu Huraira)Posted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 12:45 # -
It should be there for 2 reasons
1. All the references of Hadiths tells about his importance.
2. Judgment day is also given in Quran and is great testPosted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 12:46 # -
Why 'person' dajjal is being taken as symbol? Why not same is done for coming back Jesus?
Posted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 12:47 # -
SS
Well if there actual important information regarding the welfare of the human race MISSING in the Quran then i'm a bit disappointed. Doesn't really seem to gel with the "this book has everything mankind needs to know" bit now does it?
In any case both of your points above don't really qualify as arguments.
there are plenty of unsavoury things mentioned in the Quran to warn mankind. Why would THE GREATEST TEST not be mentioned?
Again it is in the interest of self-serving theological bureaucracies to create a scary myth of an evil being.
Through the ages many many many many people and organizations have been "identified" as Dajjal. Other theological bureaucracies simply call Dajjal by other names.
However such myths have always been very well utilized by theological powermongers to secure their own base.

@Bajwa
Well, then also tell us where in Quran is a mention of any coming of a prophet or a messiah after Rasulallah SAW...?
Posted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 12:55 # -
"Well, then also tell us where in Quran is a mention of any coming of a prophet or a messiah after Rasulallah SAW...?" Well it means that no one is going to come back again
Posted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 13:17 # -
^ 'Well it means that no one is going to come back again "
And what do you mean by that?
Posted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 13:19 # -
"And what do you mean by that?" It is not important for anyone to comeback from death. Thats why Quran does not tell that, and it will not happen. Waiting for Super Soldier's reply for dajjal's importance and absence from Quran. For me all important things like that are mentioned in Quran.
Posted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 13:47 # -
^ I don't think you even understood what I meant. Anyway, let Mr Bajwa reply to this:
'Well, then also tell us where in Quran is a mention of any coming of a prophet or a messiah after Rasulallah SAW...?'

@ Umer
very good question indeed. One to which i cannot claim to have a ready answer.
That's why i've always maintained that the whole issue of the Promised Messiah (the who, what, where, how and indeed IF) is a matter of personal faith and not quranic edict.

there are plenty of unsavoury things mentioned in the Quran to warn mankind. Why would THE GREATEST TEST not be mentioned?
Look hqbajwa there always some requirement of Test. If the coming of Dajjal is placed in holly Quran, than it ceased to be Greater Test. A Test is always Test. Look there are billion of People belive that Quran is Allah's word and true.
I can prove how Dajjal is Greater test1. U don't believe in any type of dajjal. That's what happen to people in the end of Time. U believe dajjal is a myth
till the religious knowledge is taken away (by the death of religious scholars)
Now see the statement of LIFE H2O
Why 'person' dajjal is being taken as symbol? Why not same is done for coming back Jesus?
=================================================
LIFE H201. All the references of Hadiths tells about his importance.
But i know many people don't believe in Hadith (another test regarding Fitna of Dajjal
2. Judgment day is also given in Quran and is great test
Judgemtn day is not a test, It's result for the Test.
LIFE H2O I know their are muslims like u who believe Jesus peace be upon him was Dead, and he will not come again.
And All about dajjal all these are myth. This is also one type of fitna. But
The Prophet (pbuh) said: Let him who hears of the Dajjal (Antichrist) go far from him for I swear by Allah that a man will come to him thinking he is a believer and follow him because of confused ideas roused in him by him.
(Abu Dawood #4305, Narrated Imran ibn Husayn).See both u and Hqbajwa are confused?
The Prophet Always seek PANAH of Allah from This Fitna.
What u are before Prophet?

@ Bajwa
Firsly, you were verbally beating SS for talking about something that has no mention in the Quran. And then when you were asked about if your 'prophet' or 'messiah' is mentioned in the Quran, which it is not, so you simply claim it is a matter of 'personal faith'. Great!
And you reject ahadith because you say 'Quran alone' is needed for guidance, and if that is so, then what value does your conjecture have? You believe a man to be a prophet or a messiah, and make takfir of those who reject this, merely on the basis of your conjecture 'personal belief'? So where does that fit in Islam?
Posted 1 year ago on 17 Sep 2010 15:32 # -
The only difference that creates a big difference is that you people take Hadith as serious and believe it as much as Quran. While Quran Alone people simply don't.
Hadith is a knowledge base and does not have that credibility and truthnes as that of Quran. All claims like dajjal and jesus comeback and many others are coming from Hadees "ONLY"*.
You say like "The Prophet Always seek PANAH of Allah from This Fitna." with support of Hadees. Well you can say anything, there are a lot of them. A lot of them also collide each other, you can say anyone kafir etc.. whatever you like just with support of Hadith

I would like to ask WHO IS DAJJAL RATHER THAN WHAT IS DAJJAL-?
Posted 1 year ago on 20 Oct 2010 18:42 # -
two points
1: Muslims can see prophecies about coming of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when they read bible as it exist today. Whereas Christians (who are scholars in their book) don't see these prophecies. Could it be, that Muslims have fallen into the same trap and that Quran does mention about coming of someone?
2: Regarding who is Dajjal. Given at Hadith that says that one should read Surah Kahf, if my memory serves me right, some ahadith mention first 10 ayah's of that Surah. What is discussed in those ten Ayah? That may give us some clue regarding who is Dajjal.
Posted 1 year ago on 03 Nov 2010 4:44 # -
Thats the most interesting point of it all.
Surah Kahf apparently has nothing to do with Dajjal and yet it has everything to do with it.
Scholars have said that first 10 and the last 10 ayahs of Surah Kahf.
There are variations in hadith regarding as to which it can be assured that Surah Kahf on the whole has a great effect on Dajjal.
Rasool Allah Sallaho Alayhi Wa Alayhi Wa Sallam wasnt afraid of Dajjal he was afraid of the FITNA OF DAJJAL.
There is a difference in it. One should know of it.If you are ever interested it i can go thru my notes of lectures on Surah Kahf given by a great Scholar from Umm al Qura.
