    Nothing new is going in Pakistan. This is what happening from last 60 years and will continue for next 100 years. So dont worry just relax

  3. This phrase 'from the last sixty years' has sure replaced ‘unfortunately’ or ‘budkismati sey’ the most commonly used phrases from our speech; and has been over used as an exaggeration or an embroider.

    We are going through a phase never experienced before and this has no relation or comparison even with the last 10 years or so!

    What larki is referring to relates to just a few years back. And it sure reflects negatively on us, the PCTL!

    Where has our patriotism our love for home that is Pakistan gone? A minor upset and we end up cursing Pakistan 'since the last 60 years..................

  4. Moderator Sahib, you couldn't have put that better. Where on earth is our patriotism? This is all the work of those who want us to feel Pakistan has no future, the better to destabilise the country completely. By which I don't mean the bloggers here. They are also victims of that same group. Well, in reply to all, Pakistan is fine. Nothing will haappen to Pakistan. And within a short time, changes for the better will occur in our beloved homeland.

    We need to privatize most of the state institutions.
    A little bit more capitalism may not be too bad. :)

    Certainly not, if post-1991 India is anything to go by... :)

  7. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    No, thankyou. We don't need capitalism in Muslim UMMAH to prosper.

    I saw Talat's program last night, in which it came to my attention, that;

    (1) over 800 billion Rupees of stealing of taxpayer money is going on in this country by the select few

    That alone is around $10 billion.

    In a previous episode, Mr. Shaukat Tareen claimed Rs. 1.4 trillion of taxpayer money was being pocketed illegally EACH YEAR! by the select few.

    (2) If Pakistanis' struggle to salvage, to improve on;

    (a) Railways
    (b) PIA
    (c) Pakistan Steel Mills

    we can further save a drain of 250 billion Rupees from national treasury.

    (3) Remember recently .. we saw the 'educated' head of Pakistan Steel Mills caught for Rs. 20 billion corruption ?

    This is how educated people of Pakistan are 'helping' Pakistan to prosper. *ANGER*

    @zia m: When you propose capitalism, you are actually proposing to the patient to take a poisonous pill that will kill him for sure.

    Rather than proposing something that will help him improve/recover on his illness, you want him to die to end his illness ? What kind of a man are you ?

    The cure to illness of a patient is not to send him to his death.

    so you want to replace them with uneducated people, say mullas. BTW wealthy mullas pay tax?

    If I were you I would certainly refrain from using a degrading invention of a term by the colonials that is 'Mullah'. Having said enough I would refer to them as 'clergy' who are educated spending more time learning Islamic Jurisprudence than a doctor or an engineer would. Ask how many years one has to devote learning before he is awarded a title of 'Moulana'.

    Now this is for the believers who when they are born till when they are interred back into the earth do regard clergy with respect because they are essential to as deeni Imams and required by Muslims at all occasions of birth and death including other Islamic rituals.

  10. As per DAWN:
    Pakistan has sought an emergency payment of at least $500 million from UAE’s Etisalat — the majority shareholder of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) — to avoid a breach in the current year’s fiscal deficit target.

    Who told them to impose IMF on Pakistan? All the ruling elite was babbling in favor of securing loans from IMF when much was being discussed through media what negative impacts it will have on us. IMF is holding back and Pakistan is pushing Etisalat to release funds while Etisalat is having valid reasons not to do so.

    BUT please DON'T miss the part where Pakistan govt has promised to transfer ownership of ALL PTCL properties in 10 days to Etisalat. And how could you miss the fact that Etisalat acquired PTCL for $1, hardly an honest deal...

  12. I would say all the way it had been a ridiculous deal after all.
    Now they have promised to transfer ownership of all PCTL properties in 10 days! Would you believe this drama?

    You guys have seen what is happening to Steel Mills. This is what happens when you don't privatize. The industry is dead, and the only way out is to just hand it over to some private company or a person for free, because you are not doing any favor to the person your giving Steel Mills to. I would give extra money to that person on top of steel mills.

    @hariskhan

    Capitalism is the best economic system or medicine. Yo have a right of opinion, but what I have said is a fact. Whatever you want to call capitalism or how much you hate it, it doesn't matter. Achutang is right, a Jamaati is not going to tell us which system is right. The party that supports terrorism, spreads hatred, cannot win a seat without the support from dictators, has no right what so ever to decide our future. You can speak for Muslim Ummah but not for Pakistan. I hate this Ummah bullsh!t.
