What is Jaadu or Kala ilm? How and Why it works?

(26 posts)
  1. How Jaadu (or Kala ilm) works? If someone utter some words, how those words effect the victim? Is there any jinn involved who listen those words and apply them to victim? Why jaadu exist in different languages? If Jaadu is like code words it should not be in all languages.

Is there any Quranic verse that tells about existence of Jaadu?

A very important Question is that if it really exist, why Bush is still alive?

  3. Can you please answer all questions?

Also surah naas is not about jaadu itself. I am not asking about the background, i am asking about the direct verses.

yes, surah nas is not about jadu itself, but it just prooves that jadu and such evils do exist!....

how jadu works and how it is applied? that i do not know.

and i dont think quran would tell how jadu is done. its meant for good

'hasad'. envy is one way which can affect a person because of evil influence. its also mentioned in surah nas. thats why one should say MashAllah, Alhamdolillah etc to end and avoid the envy of others... by thanking Allah and remembering Him in all situations

Remember jadu is a haram in Islam,  some people in south asia, Africa and Hatti still practice old majic/jadu and it can be very harmful.

Some time people mix up psychological problem with jadu etc...

Magic is an old human practice. It is sometimes defined as deception by showing something to an audience, which is contrary to reality. In Islam this is part of magic, which is, however, defined as seeking the help of demons to perform something harmful against somebody.

In the light of the above definition, Islam considers magic to be an act of blasphemy. Thus, the Holy Quran say:

"Suleiman (Solomon) did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved teaching men magic" (2:102)

In an authentic saying, the Prophet of Islam p.b.u.h. said: Whoever goes to a fortune teller (a soothe sayer) or a diviner and believes him, has, in fact, disbelieved in what has been revealed to Muhammad.

Thus Islam condemns magic- even what is called the horoscope or luck or reading one's palm to foretell the future is also prohibited in Islam. This is based on the belief that no one knows the future or the unseen except God almighty. That is why the Quran asserts that even Muhammad does not know the unseen. Concerning this, it says:

"If I had the knowledge of the unseen, I should have secured abundance for myself, and no evil would have touched me" (7:188).

Again, God is described in the Quran as the knower of the unseen and the manifest (6:73) and as the holder of the keys of the unseen (6:59).

In another tradition, Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. says: "Avoid the seven deadly acts which are: ascribing partners to God, magic, killing the human self which Allah prohibited except with right, eating usury, devouring the orphan's wealth, defecting from the battle-field (without a justified reason) and slandering chaste, unwary believing women. Thus Islam has closed the door for practicing magic, simply because it is against its teachings, and it is deceptive and harmful.

Let us now review some of the verses of the Holy Quran that refer to magic: In Chapter two verse 101-102, the Quran says:

Allah confirming what was with them, a party of those who were given the scripture threw away the book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know. And they followed what the devils gave out falsely of magic of the reign of Solomon; for Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angles) taught anyone (such things) until they had said: we are only for trial, so don't disbelieve. And from them (magicians) people learn that through which they would cause separation between a person and his spouse, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's leave; and they learn that which harms them rather than profits them. And indeed they knew that its practitioner would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their own selves if they but knew" (2:101-2).

Although Solomon was the Prophet and Messenger of God, he was accused by some of his opponents to be practicing magic. Those who claimed this could not distinguish between magic and miracles. Almost all messengers of God were granted miracles as a proof of their authenticity. To name only a few: Moses was granted the staff by which he could divide the sea and make water gush from rocks. Abraham was flung in the middle of a huge raging fire, which Allah made cool and peaceful to him. Jesus Christ could heal the blind and the leper and bring back the dead to life.

Jadu or black magic belong to pre-islamic time, as people believe on such Non-Senses. Islam came to make humen being realistic and by that made it clear that NO such things exist. So Jadu, blackmagic or alike thinkings are NOT Islamic and has nothing to do with Islam. Muslims should not believe on it.

    LifeH2O ha detto:

Is there any Quranic verse that tells about existence of Jaadu?

A very important Question is that if it really exist, why Bush is still alive?

The following Ayat shall answer your questions

    They
followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in
the lifetime of Sulaiman (Solomon). Sulaiman did not disbelieve, but the
Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that
came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut, but neither of
these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "We
are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)."
And from these (angels) people learn that by which they cause
separation between man and his wife, but they could not thus harm anyone
except by Allah's Leave. And they learn that which harms them and
profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic)
would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for
which they sold their ownselves, if they but knew.

    Life

It is your lack of understanding Arabic that you say Ayah 102 of Surah Al-Baqara is not refering to Magic.

Read the Verse AGAIN IN ARABIC and then go to GOOGLE AND SEARCH THE WORD PHONETICALLY WRITTEN AS SIHR

    For you again the Verse

NNL! Which arabic you are talking about? Is it same which existed 14oo years before? Do the research and find the meanings of such words which were valid at that time. Just don't blindly follow any mulla translations. There is NO Magic in Islam. It is REALISTIC DEEN and just that's why came to hemen being to be realistic and don'r fasten with such superstitious way of thinking, but yet many still there.

Ok, the word Sahar is used. Those who are against magic will surely tell you that your interpretation is wrong. So i will not talk about it.
What about my other logical questions, all of you ignored them as whole.
IFF i agree with you that magic is atruth, you will agree that magic 'existed' that time and does not exist now.
There is no proof of it, it does not work overseas (as magicians claim when asked about Bush or someone like that), it does not work in front of camera, it does not work in front of scientist and skpetics, it does not work when ..... list is large...

It works only when people see things as they want to see, they believe it without question, they dont know enough about mind science and psychology, they dont know much about science,... it really works in that case

    @ Life

Those who are against magic will surely tell you that your interpretation is wrong.

    My interpretation ?

Are you seriously kidding me ?

Bro you ought to come out of the bubble that you live in or the one that you have created around you. Its not my interpretation. ITS AN ARABIC WORD WHICH HAS NO OTHER MEANING. If you still doubt me then open Google Translation and then translate it to both Urdu and English. Then tell me if its My Interpretation.

    http://translate.google.com/?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hl=en&tab=wT#ar|en|%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%90%D9%91%D8%AD%D9%92%D8%B1%D9%8E.

What about my other logical questions, all of you ignored them as whole.

I didnt know that you are used to spoon feeding but i guess that would have been expecting way too much from you. Khair.

As your first Question or rather set of questions which are

How Jaadu (or Kala ilm) works? If someone utter some words, how those words effect the victim? Is there any jinn involved who listen those words and apply them to victim? Why jaadu exist in different languages? If Jaadu is like code words it should not be in all languages.

I dont know their answers nor i really do need to know them. They will not help me for the way to Jannah. Anyone who tells you all these questions be very very wary of him.

As to your next 2 questions

Is there any Quranic verse that tells about existence of Jaadu?

A very important Question is that if it really exist, why Bush is still alive?

I have already answered those. If you really had bothered to read the Ayah aka the Quran then you might have noticed your answer is in that verse.

It tells you about the Angels who were sent down the people of Suleiman Alayhis Salam who taught people magic. And those same Angels Harut & Marut said to the same people that this will not help you we are here for trial. Dont Disbelieve by learning from us. And then Allah Azza Wa Jal Says that nothing will effect other than What is Willed by Allah Azza Wa Jal.

The Ayah sufficiently answers your last 2 questions.

Whether you agree or disagree it doesnt change the truth that Magic Does exist and it does happen. Whether the Shayateen do it or the Jinn its a different matter. Whether Science (which is theoretical in most cases and the theories keep changing as the Man gets more finds more avenues to contradict his own statements -- that my friend is another long topic) agrees with it or not it doesnt matter If Allah Says magic takes place then it definitely does. For a Muslim the topic gets over from that point onwards.

Raheb prove to me that Sihr does not mean magic. Search Arabic Lexicons and then let me know. I have given my proof now its your turn.

  19. By interpretation i meant that there may be other meanings of seher (it happens in almost all cases we don't agree on).

I have no reason to say that magic still 'exist', and 'work' as it suppose to work. The effects on people for which magic is blamed has nothing to do with it. Mental problems and mostly acting works. Jadu works mostly on poor, uneducated people living in many bounds and restricted environments.

If it was as effective as it is said, all powerful men were magicians.

It is sooooooo Ridiculous to give a reference of some website as a TRUTH which one believe on that. Anyone can find such so-called truths in support of something which one believe.
Most of such "believers" as NNL, Super sodier, Haris and many more, see the truth in what someone has mentioned or showed, BUT how can be you sooo sure of it???

NNL you are for me BIASED and POISENED by Mulla'ism and by that lacking your own approach. You throw something with reference to a lexicon, HOW do you know it is Correct??
We ultimately bound to use our own heads to find the truth, DO IT you Mulla's!!!!!!

You are blinded by sheer ignorance and arrogance and it is definitely for you to contemplate on meaning of the following Ayahs

Yes AlHamdu Illah my belief is set in stone. I believe what the Quran says and I understand it as how the Rasool Allah Sallaho Alayhi Wa Ala Alayhi Wa Sallam explained it and the Sahaba understood it. I do exactly what the Rasool asked me to do and i dont invent new ways within religion.

So you can call me whatever you want it doesnt bother me as I have done and followed the Message and Messenger of Allah Azza Wa Jal.
