what kind of role media should play in long march?

    Pakistan is again going through its worst phase .
    as the biggest province in a total mess .
    political problems has been tackled through HITLER tricks.
    what kind of role our media should play in these circumstances?
    it should remain neutral and show whatever going on?
    it should go with the public majority voice and support public stand ?
    it should avoid any conflict with GOVT in order to be remain on air and not to be targeted by so called PEMRA?

    my call is they should remain neutral .
    and should show whats going on.
    leaving it on the viewer to decide.

    they should stay neutral. viewers are smart enough to see who is wrong and who is right. stay neutral and dont give the state an excuse to shut them down

    but unfortunately ...
    we have been ruled by the ppl .
    who doesn't really need any excuse for doing any thing .

    Rahman Malik is going to run out of the country even before zardari does because he is earning black money faster than his boss zardari.

    If people of Pakistan showed they stand firm in their resolve to restore the judiciary and rule of law in their country, you will find the truth of my statement soon Insha Allah.

    the day will come inshallah ..if not us but our next generations will see it inshallah
    Media should play its neutral role but our clever govts never give them a chance to be neutral,,, govts behaves with them like opposition and naturally media a becomes opposition.. so now media should ready to receive lathi charge, tear gas and ban on some anchorpersons.. off air of channels, corruption charges and cases etc,.

    -New reports should report " what is happening"

    -Anchor person Should only ask question and leave out personal like or dislikes on side....Media cant take sides

    - Invite Educated personalities from right and left 4 open debate ..... but people like Dr firdus, Baber Ghori, Saad Rafiq and use less Jahngier bader type people can stay away from TV... they are Not so good for my ears

    - Live phone calls from Awam.... Koi es awam se bhi to pocehey wht they really wants. Do they really care about Ch.Iftekhar, long marches or Free and Fair Judaical system?

    $$ will decide the media role. Who ever can come-up with a deeper pocket full of money can get his way. As rumors circulated in past about the anchors, its difficult to believe they can be impartial.

    i dont believe in this .
    no1...Govt s are afraid of media and its power in Pakistan .
    they cant take it ...they cant face it .
    whether its Musharraf dictator or its Zardari dictator.
    they just cant handle the truth.
    thats why these kind of fabricated stories has been installed in various media as well as international media too,to implant a seed of doubt in the minds of Pakistani public ...
    which respects and believes a media person more then they respect n believe in a politician.
    thats how they wanna destroy the image of media .

    2..if for a second we assume its all true about GEO .
    but what about the 20 other local news channels ?
    they are all Jew funded channels????
    as they all r showing the same thing ....as GEO .

    3...this is a little exaggeration on the writer part ,when he said that Govts has been toppled by GEO.
    thats so funny .
    if the GEO had that much of power.
    it cud had done it with Zardari two months back.

    i m sorry ...
    but i totally disagree with the contents with the posted article link here.

    yesterday, Talat Hussain as a guest in off the record program was vigorously defending ppp govt .. I m surprised .. is it any sort of funding or old romance with ppp? Talat fall in love of ppp… horriable .. i think it is hios first love and he never forget it....

    Talat is an old fan of PPP.
    as a host of the show he manage to handle his neutral approach somehow.
    but as a guest at Kashif show .
    he was openly showing his affiliation with PPP.

    but that's the thing we can least expect from a true professional like Talat .
    he was invited as an analyst.
    not a PPP worker or a supporter.
    he should not defend wrong stands of PPP ..just for the sake of it.
    he should be fair enough to see it with a neutral perspective.
    out of the way defense of PPP wont take him any where but to destroy his public image.

    agreed,,, zardari branded ppp does not have public image but Talat Hussain definately has and he must be care of it which is more precious rather tha a political affiliation.. I like kashif abbasi’ s remarks at the end of program in which he did expressed (with a little hesitation) his disagreement with Talat Hussain.. oh Mr TALTA ..LOVE IS LAWAYS BLIND.. U proved it
