Who Could Be Responsible?

(8 posts)
  1. There are different Schools of Thought about fixing the responsibility for the Dismemberment of Pakistan in 1971.
According to these Schools, Yahya Khan, Z.A. Bhutto, Mujeeb-ur-Rahman, Mukti Bahini, Indian Government or
Social, Economic and Political Conditions are held responsible for that sad historical incident.

Examining the current political, social, economic, logistic and moral conditions of Pakistan,
    God Forbid,
This time, who could be responsible, if, again, there occurs a Regional Geographical Change in Pakistan?
    1. Military?
    2. Political Parties?
    3. Democracy?
    4. Terrorists+Taliban?
    5. America+India?
    6. Media?
    7. People of Pakistan?
    8. Legislature, Executive and Judiciary?

Instead of looking for who to blame for second breakup of Pakistan why not we work to avoid that breakup?

Sorry, I feel this topic is a very negative topic.

  4. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

In my view, everything! failed. Everything from top to bottom in a nation's government setup completely! failed!

I know 1971 as the time when 'uncontrolled' 'lust' of 'power struggle' cost us a part of our nation. The lust! for 'power' made us see that day.

By everything, I mean everything! ALL departments of a nation failed.

ALL are to blame, not just one group of people.

I think its not as simple as putting the blame on one party. God forbid, if anything happens, it will be the result of the combined failure of all or most of the players involved. It will be the result of our own apathy, blaming India or US is useless, its just shifting the blame.

    @hariskhan,

Hamood-ur-Rehman Commission report is available publicly. Check the link. It makes for interesting reading.

  7. My intention to put this proposition is sort of,
'A Wake Up Call', for the whole Nation, before it is too late.

God forbid, if again a sad incident occurs, the blame shall go to the political parties as it is their responsibility to assess the problem, devise means to eradicate the causes of the problems by intelligently collaborating with the Establishment.
