Why America and West does not want Nawaz sharif in Power

He Went against the US establishment and even American Prezident called him 5 times and offer him big deals and warned him but he did order for nuclear tests.

He is more close to islamic countries.

He went against the American establishment and went for long march to restore Judges.

He will not work under their establishment in pakistan

He can be a stronger prime minister and they dont want a person like that.

He knows all the games/Threats that you can be as a prime minister of pakistan and they dont want a person like that.

PML N is the only party that has the best team and is based on pakistani agenda people like..javed Hashmi,Ehsan Iqbal,Sartaj Aziz, shabaz sharif, khuwaja Asif,Qadir baloch,Ishaq Dar,Mehtab Abbasi, saad Rafique...they got the best leadership and americans doesnt want that.

They are promoting imran khan and they think like this they can stop Nawaz sharif but the statistics shows that imran is not effecting PML N .

What is more important is why the people don't want the drooler in power! I guess, it will America's fault and conspiracy if Nawaz and co don't do well in the next elections.

Raheb, the reason why Nawaz fails to impress is his lack of integrity and vision. He lacks va va voom of a true leader. He is quite simply the perfect definition of a wimp.

What twists and turning N-league has taken to save itself from the public's collective kick on its backside is really astonishing.

    Why doesn't it shame N-leaguers?

First, it was Pakistani establishment and now it is American. These goons only need excuses for their demise.

Keep on finding these excuses and paddling more lies, they will not save you.

BTW, nuclear tests was not Nawaz' feat, it had to be done simple as that. No government in Pakistan compromised on Nuclear issue, whether it was Bhutto, Zia, BB, Nawaz or even Musharraf.

According to Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, Nawaz Sharif was actually reluctant and eying the business deal that USA proposed being the dealer and businessman that he is.

    @Ali Ch,

If you want serious discussion, then one point I would like making.

N-league is the only party in Pakistan which has no ideological footing. It simply uses the name of "Muslim league" which was the party of Jinnah, but it is nothing but an agencies created farce turned family mafia in its current form.

The only votes they had were anti-PPP votes. My family had voted for PMLN in the past and now fully geared to vote for PTI, because we have an ideological, competent alternative to PPP rather than relying on the lesser of the two evils.

But back to the point - given N-league's lack of any ideological base, and its creation in its current form as an establishment party, it basically lacks any political and ethical compass as a party. That's why you can get a whole Q-league out of it.

N-league can resort to any level, they can stoop so low that nobody else can. There are others who do that, of course, but I have observed N-league is the most shameless party. The knee jerk and shameless reaction to Imran's rise speaks volume about their intellectual and political bankruptcy.

Some old folks still retain the mentality of fighting with the PPP, and thus they pin their hopes on PMLN. But it is getting rarer, and it will eventually finish off.

I somehow disagree with the thread's main concern. It does not matter at all who America or our own establishment wants in power in Pakistan.

It is the people of Pakistan who will decide whom they want in power next. PMLN should focus all its energies towards the people of Pakistan who are the ultimate stakeholders in this case.

  9. Since Z.A Bhutto government was dismissed by Zia-ul-Haq, atomic program is always under military control. Prime minister of Pakistan have nothing to do with atomic program.

1998 atomic blasts were military establishment decision. Nawaz Sharif just declared about that blasts on the order of establishment.

Nawaz Sharif and Noon league is lying about that blasts, that he made that decision. He was just obeying establishment. That is why, he was mum like lamb, when Clinton called him to cancel these blasts. He was not saying yes or no.
May be he wanted to suspend that atomic blasts to appease US, and to get that 5 billion dollars, but military establishment shut him up and told him, we have to do this.

    Ali, Very insightful thoughts!!!

Just to elaborate further on what you said above that most of the people throwing filth on these online forums on NS have actually no stake at all in the affairs of Pakistan.

Almost all of them resides outside of Pakistan and are not even eligible to vote in the next elections. So please dont expect their bigoted opinions to have any effect on the outcome of the next elections.

    Piplyas-c u m-Inqilabis,

The decision to go atomic was purely a political decision made by the political leadership of the day. NS was offered so many carrots and so many billions but he refused all of them unlike that coward commando who gave everything in plate to his masters that even they had not asked for.

Not to forget your own corruption queen who tried to sold off our nuclear program in exchange of heavy kickbacks to the yanks during her last reign of corruption.

    @SD,

I have been saying this all along that these Mummy-Daddy types are just arm chair critiques spread across in different continents and bleeding their hearts out on the predicament of Pakistan. Their favourite past time is to sit in front of their PS 3's to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 and sipping on Yo-hoos and Gatorade.

As for this dude Insafi, he can't even differentiate his a$$ from his elbow and yet he thinks that posting four paragraphs dissertations would make him an eminent authority in electoral politics in Pakistan or will help Cinderella Khan win more than ONE seat.

    @Shahji,

Bro, what has the scions of Bhutto done since 2008? Your godforsaken leadership does not even have a pair to shoot down a little propeller driven MQ-9 Reaper out of fear that Uncle Sam would yank the leash which is tied around the neck of Zardari. Instead the current leadership has perpetuated the treacherous qualities of its past leaders who were instrumental in dismembering this country with the help of establishment and generals, giving away state secrets to India when Rajiv Gandhi visited Pakistan which ultimately led to the defeat of Khalsas in Indian Punjab and countless other acts of infringement of Pakistan's National security.

    insafi,

Regardless of your rants about PMLN it does have a solid electoral history and background of almost 25 years. It has served the masses with conviction and earned their respect and that's why the masses keep bringing them back to power for last 25 years or so despite of the worst kind of witch hunting and smear campaigns by their opponents.

Now let's have a look at the exemplary history and performance of your inqilabi tahreek. Well your party has been in politics for the last 16 years or so and have seen 2 or 3 elctions as well but can you name one big achievement of your party. Please dont give me examples of SKMH or NIMAL because that was an individual effort and nothing to do with your party.

On political level how many seats has your party won in the last 16 years? How many masses have they served so far? How many millions have you represented in the assemblies? NONE!

So please do not compare yourself with a party that not just have a proven history in the politics but have served and represented millions for the last 25 years.

^^^^ And the few thousands ISI Khan did manage to serve between 2002-2007 was on the back of the support he got from Ustad Tabla Master and an engineered election in Mianwali through Gen. Bay-Zamir and Tariq Aziz.

I have even advised the inqilabis that IK is fighting on a wrong pitch actually. His fanfare is mostly overseas in UK, Europe and US/Canada. He should ask the ECP to grant special seats for these countries in the upcoming elections so that he can have a sizeable strength in the next national assembly.

But unfortunately my requests are falling on deaf ears :-(

**** League is surrounded by enemies?

    - America is against us
    - Establishment is against
    - ISI is against us
    - GHQ is against us
    - People are against us

Try to get out of the victims role. I know you are a spoiled kid, but you will gain NOTHING by acting like crying kids all the time.

^^^ And ISI Khan ought to try to make a name for himself instead of banking on Zardari, Kiyani, Pasha and Haroon Rasheed to make a leader out of him.

    Logic bhai..

I don't think America has a problem with Nawaz Sharif...
He himself has said that he and PML-N are pro-american.

By the way, the highlighted bit is from Guardian newspaper, not me...

Also, can you provide the statistics that prove that IK is not affecting PML-N?

    Sandman,

Why is he keeping his Washington yatra as a low key event?

Why are the PTIans denying his presence in Washington?

He's probably the first leader who's meeting US officials after Mohmand incident. So has he lodged any protest with the US officials on this matter? Why there is no press release about his visit by PTI?
