Zardari is the most popular politician in NWFP

  1. Why and if Public Representatives reflect people’s sentiment

The Pakhtunkhwa (NWFP) assembly passed a resolution supporting and commending President Asif Ali Zardari with 76 to 4 votes while the opposition was either not allowed to speak against the resolution or it boycotted the votes.

Does this vote really reflect the sentiment of the people of Pakhtunkhwa? Why media is criticizing Zardari but not this institution. When will these Seats of Capitalists (Iqbal called is such) start listening to the public?

Many times these representatives are not really the representatives of majority of us. It is time to demand for a constitutional amendment for a run off election where the winning person only get a 28% of the popular vote.

Despite the fact that i agree to your point that there should be a run-off till one candidate gets the majority but the matter of fact is as per today's constitution , these assemblies are the true representatives of masses.

  5. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

@Azizi: Let me inform you, that the people currently present in NWFP assembly are there because MMA did not take part in elections.

How can you decide who represents the people of NWFP, when one of the side doesn't take part in elections ?

After two years of ANP's rule in NWFP, there should be some survey to confirm, how much popularity does ANP have among NWFP's people.

Let me also bring to your attention the program that Talat did after 'Meena Bazar blast'. If you watch that program, you will see the common man blaming Govt. actually cursing! the Govt. rather than holding any kind of 'Taliban' responsible for what happened there.

This is crystal clear evidence of the sentiments of the people of NWFP.

In short, this current PPP, ANP, MQM govt. in Pakistan has given ZERO output to Pakistan in the last 2 years.

I don't understand how you can claim you are having difficulty in differentiating between right and wrong, between friend and foe ?

The current govt. in Pakistan is a coalition govt. This type of government comes up when people in general are not happy with those standing up to represent them.

Hariskhan, MMA is a fake party created on Musharraf's orders. The less said about it, the better. People of Pakhtunkhwa support democratic rule, because we know what military rule has given us.

The major part of the MMA JUI participated in the elections.

Just for my memory , why JI didn't participate ? GHQ orders ? or something else ?

  10. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

@Wahid Doyum: You think you will put up blatant lies, then expect others to believe it and others will ? Those days are gone.

Watch the program Front Line dated 08-Jan-2010.

@asif khan: Greater ? JUI-F was 1 of the 6 religious political parties that constituted the 'political movement' called MMA. JUI-F only exists in parts of NWFP, where-as JI exists all over Pakistan.

JI is present in Punjab, NWFP, Sindh, Kashmir. I am not sure about Baluchistan.

Its high time you stopped from putting up blatant lies or you risk destroying your credibility.

  11. How many times has he discussed the situation of NWFP in his speeches,convoz...how many times he showed sympathy to those "less-blessed" humans there?....has he visited that province ever since he became the President? how can he be a popular person there...

Lets decide on this that who is a liar.

    a) JUI_F was the largest component in NWFP assembly in 2002 so called MMA victory and thats why it was given CM-slot.

    b) MMA was the largest party in 2002 in balochistan and all membmers belonged to JUI-f. (If i remember it was 19 members). Senior minister was from JUI in Jam Yousuf cabinent as well. There was not a single member from JI.

So , now u tell me that who is a liar.
