Why Faith and Religion only means to discuss sectarian issues

  1. Dear all,

I expect you to be more logical than uneducated molvis, to discuss sectarian issues only is just waste of time. The outcome is nothing believe me. If you will analyze deeply, the only purpose of discussing such issues is not to call yourself correct but it is to call other one wrong which is stupidity of uneducated molvis.

I guess this forum is provided to discuss islamic influence on a political system and to discuss general misconceptions about islam so please use this forum for positive purpose instead of wasting your valuable time on discussing wahabi, brailvi and shia.

Few members are intentionally provoking such debates by posting some useless links which has nothing to do with islam. Even if you want to discuss any sect then instead of posting a link of some JAHIL molvi which is very easy to find for every sect. please post information about their books and scholars of that sect.

Believing in any sect is not a condition in islam because all the Sahabas, Tabaieen, Taba-Tabaieens were not deobandis, wahabis or brailvess, they were only muslim and this is enough for our identity.

May Allah(SWT) guides us on the right path. Ameen

    LetsDoIt,

    A very good question indeed.

In today's world of high competition a way of life in complete market control will never let its competitor come near knowing that it might take over the market quickly due to many reasons.

So in order to keep the control on market they highlight negativity about other 'product' so that people keep on using this product. So one of the classical argument used is this sectarian 'weakness'.

They say that the difference of opinion in this way of life is sectarianism and is a symbol of disunity. While same difference of opinion in their way of life is praised as freedom of expression!

This classical oriental argument has been used again after again and needs careful dissection, usually this argument is used to discredit competing way of life and try to present currently dominating way of life.

So instead of falling into the trap of orientalists we need to strike with counter punch and ask them why difference of opinion is blessing for you but a curse for us?

    @letsdoit

    Good question ,

Because most of todays Mullas do not talk about faith and give its Dawah ....where the faith is the core of Islam .Shriat is like a bidy but the soul is the faith .
Body without soul cannot survive ,Talibani shariat is just an example .

  4. I grew up in a quasi-religious and sect neutral family. My immediate acquaintance with the sectarianism came from the maulvis of neighborhood mosque who were brailvis. These mullahs used to shout on public address system against the other mosque’s maulvis, which was situated just few hundred yards from our mosque. This always raised questions in my mind similar to the question “LetsDoIt” is asking. In about 8th class of schooling, I finally asked the maulvi sahib, “why you guys always say bad things about Wahabis and not the good about yourself.”

The answer was a bit naive and surprising; “By saying bad about Wahabis we try to prove they are wrong. On the other hand if we do not establish that they are wrong then that means we are wrong and they are right. Now if we assume that they are right then we must follow the right. Since we are not going to follow them we shall keep on bashing them”

Excellent points. Just to add my own two cents (1.3 Rs) :)

Victory comes not from finding your opponent's untruths, but by presenting your truth.

Peace comes not from denying the untruth of your opponent, but by accepting the truth in what he says.

The simple fact is that every party in every debate has some truths and untruth in their argument. Lasting peace comes from combining your truths with his truths.

It is when one believes to have a complete monopoly on truth that one precludes any sort of peace.
