Question: Why is there no rain in Pakistan ?

What happened to all the rain that we used to have ?

Why don't we have rain in our cities anymore ?

Of course! But if you destroy the Ecosystem then that's not Ooper-walaz fault!

Yes indeed if the creater stops the rain there can't be rain, but God just don't stop the rain because he got nothing else to do. I agree with the ecosystem missorganization by the government, but not only that, you can't only count on the rain to get your agreculture work, you have to make also other provisions, like taking care of you rivers which are stoped by India. Action causes Reaction.

  9. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

As a matter of fact, we went to hilly areas on this 'barhi Eid'. A few months ago we visited Kalam.

What we saw happening with trees' there was appalling! *hint* *hint*

I believe, I have some pictures, perhaps some videos of it, too.

The mountains are already '****' (in urdu) there.

We are not getting rain because Allah is angry with us for our ‘munafiqat’. We are suffering all sorts of other problems because Allah is angry with us for our ‘munafiqat’. But we have become blind to see our weaknesses. We do those things which Allah promised to do for us, but we do not do those things which Allah asked us to do. The results are in front of us, if we have the ability see.

  12. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    On the contrary, dawn says this;

DAWN News: Dry spell ends with rain in three provinces

    Saturday, 30 Jan, 2010
    --------------------------------------------------------
ISLAMABAD: Balochistan, Punjab and the NWFP saw rain and snowfall on Thursday night, breaking a dry spell of more than four months and people, especially farmers, heaved a sigh of relief.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

I am in Lahore. I saw little rainfall at dawn 1-2 days ago. That's about it.

Anyone else seen rain lately, in good ammount ?

Jab say ye Zardari aya hay us waqt say barish kam hogai hay, kyonkay Zardari ko barish ka 10% cut nahin mil raha!

On a more realistic note, science predicts Pakistan is going to have less monsoon rains and higher temperatures in the near future.

  17. We should realize that climate change is a reality. We should also acknowledge this change is here as a direct result of our own-misuse/over use of earth resources.

  18. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

Pakistan can do better by providing its people basic necessities of life, by providing them employment opportunities in villages, so they don't run to cut trees' off of mountains in hilly areas.

That would certainly help prospects of rain, even if the population continues to grow.

  19. A mafia is the root cause of deforestation in Paksitan and not the poor and needy who lack basic necessities!

  20. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

Well, even if it is a mafia, then its high time Pakistan Govt. took notice of them, isn't it ? This has been going on for years!. Its time Govt. arrested them, charged them with hurting this nation at a mass level, convicted them for the crime, and then punished them by chopping heads off of the members of this mafia, so this nation can live its life in peace and tranquility.

Why is Govt. of Pakistan not doing anything about it ?

  22. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

Good point. Yet! another! crime to be put in their charge sheet.

Are these people ever! going to get punished for these crimes ? or is this nation going to allow them die off of old age ?

  23. Not to derail the topic, but I would like to add that just a year ago I was trying my best to acquire some forest area with the sole purpose of exotic herb collection and preservation. This project could have been beneficial for locals regarding employment but to my surprise huge tracts of forests have been leased (100 years mostly) and some being developed into residential areas all with the help of government officials.
The only University that deals Forestry (Peshawar) was also found to be deeply involved in encroachment of government land reserved as forests.

  24. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

Which, again brings the discussion back to lack of opportunities, jobs, business in Peshawar, and villages in these areas.
